This puzzle - 'Levens by mormagli - has been solved close to 100 times on Logic Masters Germany. One of the solvers who recommended it to us said it deserved to be solved 10,000 times. Can this community make that happen? It's a REALLY lovely sudoku so do have a go (and please drop us a comment if you manage to finish it!).

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. (ie Place the digits 1-9, once each, in every row, column and 3x3 box). Cells separated by a black dot must contain digits with a 1:2 ratio (ie one of the digits must be double the other). Each purple line must contain a set of non-repeating, consecutive digits (which can appear in any order).

It took me less than an hour. I usually take 2 to 5 times as long as the videos to finish (if I finish), so it does feel approachable. It feels like a "medium" difficulty, since it didn't require any expert level techniques to solve. At first glance, it looks way beyond my skill level. After a closer look at box 6, it has a nice break-in because of the given digit in box 3.

Over two hours! About an hour of that was thinking r7,c3 had to be a 2 or a 5 (it's a 1), so I kept resolving different stages to try to find my mistake elsewhere.

When you talked about puzzles that have meant a lot for the community, Mark, I immediately thought about Svanemamma and her sudoku. The puzzle she made was a tribute to her son who passed away. That was such a strong video and experience for me. To think she made a puzzle for us and a puzzle in memory of what I can only imagine must be a really sweet kid.

Ridiculously good sudoku here. Well set and well solved! My favorite aspect of this one is how much the logic bounces back and forth, like all those moments where logic in location x causes something in location y, which in turn immediately causes something in location x. That happened a few times in this one, and it was gorgeous every time. Lovely!

Simon, that was enjoyable! It was also approachable and I was able to break in on my own! I got a little ahead of myself on the 79s in the first 3 boxes, but sorted it out and finished the puzzle. Then I watched you work it and I did mostly the same things in mostly the same order.

Hello Simon and Mark, I just wanted to thank you for all your efforts, its very fun watching the videos, and I recently tried to more and more solve some by myself. As you specifically asked to get 10.000 solves I tried this one and managed to do it. I made a mistake towards the middle of the solve so it took me 77:32, but it was time well spent, thius puzzle was amazing.

66:10 for me!! Very happy with that. One of the early comments pointed me to the correct row to start with (I had been looking at the one two below it). After that, it was steady, albeit slow, though not without a mounting sense of dread near the end of "please don't break now..."

One more towards the 10000! Really cool puzzle. I started very differently from Simon, by seeing what the black dots could be in box 3. It ended up working (in more than double Simon's time...), but Simon's path is so elegant and clear throughout I'm left wondering how I missed it. Really great stuff, puzzle and solve alike!

2-ish hours of solving off-and-on for me! When they say its easy, I can usually finish in under 45min. This one had me working pretty hard on the break-in. Took me a while to work out which kropki was 3:6 and 4:8 in box 3. After that it started falling into place. Now to watch a much more elegant version of the solve in the video as usual.

Great puzzle. It reminded me of the spiraling renban puzzle by skunkworks that used the ‘every 4-cell renban must have a 4 and/or 6 on it’. That helped me to almost immediately identify that the short legs of the renbans in row 1 and column 9 had to be the digits in the black circles from box 3. The rest of the solve flowed well from there.

I messed up the renban in box 7, rewound it quite a bit and then finished the solve. I almost gave this one a pass but when I heard Simon say so many people had done it I went back and gave it a shot (without watching any of his solve). Glad I did, it was very enjoyable.

I solved this a few days ago (as Bonehead) from the Logic Masters entry. For what was a 2 star rated puzzle at the time I found it more difficult than higher rated puzzles I have done. Not sure my brain was thinking correct way for the logic, but managed it in about 80 minutes eventually.

This is only the third one I have truly started without any prompts from your video and the firdt I have genuinely completed, after 1 early error meant I needed to restart. Mark's video yesterday I couldn't break into whilst I managed the break in on the other but went awry in the later sudoku.

Just repeating what most people have already said. That was a fantastic puzzle! Finished in under 40 minutes but that was only paying for 50% attention as I'm watching tv with my 3yo at the same time 😂 Box 2 was obvious enough as a good place to start with the black dot and entire renban limiting what could be going on. That combined with the other black dots then lead to a very nice path where I never really got bogged down before figuring out what I should look at next.
