For the first time in my 27 years, I feel old. To hear that Max was 7 years old in 2009, when Darin Erstad retired, that put my life into perspective. I was 7 years old when the Angels won the World Series, which is really the only reason I knew who the final one was. I was literally running through the lineup in my head. I guess it helps to have "been there," in a sense!

Rare perfect game for me. It helps that A) at 41, I'm older than everyone in the video and most of the other commenters, so skewing farther back in time is good for me, and B) as a Nats fan, I absorbed a fair amount of "#1 Overall Pick" trivia with Strasburg and Harper. Also, as an old person, I've suggested this once before, but I'll suggest it again: fathers of current major leaguers.
