This young lady has some serious anxiety - I don’t think the dress is an issue - there’s a lot of pain beneath the surface.

I feel that her issues are psychological...the way she fidgets and her mannerisms.. watching this almost has you on the edge like if she would lose it at any minute.

My first thought when I saw her was “wow. If anxiety was a person.” 😳 but then I thought, everyone is not comfortable being on camera and it’s a big decision she’s making. Bless her heart. I’m glad she decided to take a break. I pray she finds peace and comfort.

“This just doesn’t seem like what you’d wear everyday” much love to the friend, but, the guy was right, you don’t get married everyday. Everyday, I’m wearing pajamas and oversized long sleeved shirts. I wouldn’t wear that to my wedding. 😂

Her body language is so distressed. I think she is suffering from anxiety and should consider see a psychologist. She definitely needs help.

I totally relate to this bride I can get very overwhelmed and emotional when I’m overstimulated. Not to mention she is being recorded that can be scary.

For all you folks talking about “something strange with the relationship” or “her fiancée must not be good” or “she seems severely anxious/stressed”, I don’t think that’s fair. I think she could very well be on the spectrum based on her behavior and is behaving absolutely within normal parameters for that.

She needs to consider if it's the dress that she is unsure about committing to or the marriage.

What this sweet child needs is a clip for her hair so she doesn’t have to keep messing with it

I love this girl!!! She is a bundle of nerves because she’s a perfectionist. She’s in law school so she’s obviously a high achiever. It’s just hard for her to make decisions because she’s afraid of making a mistake. Fortunately, because she’s so deliberate in making decisions, she doesn’t make mistakes too often. As a former law student myself “as close to love as I could get” says it all-she seems so overwhelmed she can’t make a decision . I’m hoping she could wait until the pressures of law school are over so she can enjoy the moment of marriage. Law school for females is rigorous and challenging and can be dehumanizing and ego crushing. I know because I did it. It can crush self-confidence. Professors toy with students-pushing for a right answer when whatever you answer they will argue for the opposite side-people who thrive on conflict enjoy this. Gentler souls wilt.

Bless this girl's heart! I have diagnosed anxiety and I could see how anxious she was a mile away. I think planning the wedding is really overwhelming her. I hope she has a good support system with her fiance, family, friends, etc. She might want to consider seeing a professional. I think it would do her some good

Perfect example of Analysis Paralysis. She corrected Robin in saying the word ‘pretty’ but then used the word pretty to describe how she felt, to Lori. My heart goes out to this bride. This has more to do with her confidence; I hope she ended up finding something that made her feel lovely on her day.

almost the entire time she looked as if someone had backed her into a corner and she was trapped. her eyes were darting everywhere and she kept taking deep breaths and looked as if she was about to cry in distress at any moment. idk if it was the dress shopping or the wedding or what, but she does need help of some kind. she's way stressed out

Can i just say i love how she said “shoulder complex” instead of insecurity. When calling something an insecurity is like saying they have it and they don’t like it. Complex is like telling them their body is perfect no matter what your body looks like

Honestly I can relate. Whenever I feel overwhelmed I kinda shut down. If she has what I have, she probably needs to just try another day, or set up several appointments. It's not easy.

Emily, You can do this. You're just overwhelmed with expectations from yourself and others. Women often think we should have the same idealized experiences in life as the stories we hear about since childhood. Please try not to diminish your experiences by comparing them to other peoples stories of perfection. People will edit out the little imperfections from their stories because they just don't dwell on those things. Give yourself permission to enjoy the process if you can. If you can't enjoy the process then the process is not for you. Permit yourself to integrate new life expectations into your way of thinking when needed. I wish you a happy life with your fiance'.

I think....a dress for her is not as important to her. When people are indecisive and they are pretty much forced to answer a question or is put on the spot...it shows how uncomfortable they are with actually making decisions.

The dress is not the problem. Her anxiety is getting the best of her. As a person who has anxiety myself I can relate and I can only wish that she seeks the help she needs. Bless her heart!.

She's suffering from anxiety and NO not everyone gets THIS anxious about a dress, either she's suffering from something in her life, or it's PTSD or she's doubtful of her marriage.

Forget the dress. It's far more concerning that she gets this stressed out just making a decision on any level. And the fact that she sees a negative comment in any compliment. There's some serious psychological issues there.

I used to be a theatre costumer. Some actresses never liked their costume and never thought they looked good, no matter how gorgeous they themselves were, or how much the costume flattered them. The problem was that they did not love THEMSELVES. This is this young woman's problem. She has an enviable figure, the dresses she tried on all made her look good, but the only thing she sees in the mirror is that woman she can't abide, her own self. It's a shame. I hope her groom has a lot of patience.

Dress #1 was gorgeous on her. It's not the dress she's so indecisive about - it's getting married that has her unnerved.

Hmm...She honestly looked beautiful in every gown!! She's extremely fidgety & I feel like she's dealing with anxiety & something else too. Perhaps having second thoughts about getting married at this time? The gown she felt sexy in, was gorgeous on her!!! So was the last gown with pockets!!! I would encourage her to talk to a therapist, to help her during this time.

This is one of them brides they needed to hype up and shower with compliments! She’s beautiful, she has a beautiful figure! Make her feel confident!

We shouldn't judge her physicality. That could be several issues like ASD, ADHD, turrets syndrome, etc. The child is nervous and scared of something. Could be the wedding itself. My husband was scared of a wedding. We went to the courthouse with our parents and his brother. I wore a gown from my closet. It was easy and the right decision for us. It could be that simple.

As a GAD sufferer myself, I think she suffers from some sort of anxiety. When she sat down at almost the end of the video, it could've been an anxiety attack or panic attack at that moment. I really feel for her and I wish I could've gave her a hug and tell her "Everything's gonna be all right. I know how hard it is to find a dress that you will like. But remember that you are beautiful inside and out and whatever you choose, you should feel comfortable in." 💕💕💕

The wedding dress "moment" is different for everyone. You don't need to cry , I knew my wedding dress was the one because I felt good in it. Out of everything I tried on it complimented my body the best it was in my budget. And I wasn't feeling pushed to like it. However I wasn't expecting to cry but when I felt confident in the dress there was no question about it. I think it also has to do with self confidence to some level.

No mention of love. Soulmates. Shared sense of humour . She’s a very unhappy person.

Sweet girl, that last dress looked perfect. Not all of us cry or have that “moment”- I loved my dress but I didn’t cry. I’m just not an overly emotional person.

I just think she has psychological issues with her body. So, she won't ever have the wow-feeling, especially not on a sample dress that doesn't fit perfectly. She does like the dresses, but she doesn't like herself in the dresses. Maybe it's also the color, some brides hate white/off-white, champaign, if they don't wear it ever in summer or any season.

I walked into the bridal shop. Everyone there had their mother’s,friends and /or entourage with them. No one offered to help me. I was with my future sister in law. I looked through the racks, picked a dress, tried it on and bought it . There was no great emotional moment. I have been married 41 years. I still have that dress. I still love it. Every bride does not necessarily get all emotional over a dress. She may never get “that moment”. I wonder if her hesitation isn’t so much about the dress and maybe about cold feet over the wedding.

Why is everyone staring at her like she’s insane? Her friends are basically silent, they’re not hugging her or offering any kind of compassion, why are they there? No wonder she’s anxious, she’s probably bearing all the nerves herself. And then the staff treated her like she was a ticking time bomb. They needed to sit with her for a while and do what Gok does: draw the dress, talk about the parts of her body she likes and doesn’t like, talk about her vision. Make her feel comfortable, not like she’s a basket case. She’s in law school, of course she’s nervous. This is the one time she’s got to feel good about herself and this is one of the most tense episodes of SYTTD I’ve watched in a while. Really disappointed in everyone involved. This girl deserves better.
