I’m an African American software engineer from Texas. I’d love to work for an African organization.

Who is that brilliant young African woman. She gets it. She understands. Africans are playing someone else's game. It's backfiring. Africa can soar to great heights when it recognizes and respects who they are.

SHE is a GHANAIAN woman, from GHANA, West Africa. This panel took place in Accra, GHANA and caption should have specified as it's misleading!!

Am so glad such conversations have began. I believe all Africans are living in survival mode. No one is thinking of posterity. Not one!

Let's start with a more defined scope with such heavy topics like "Can We Thrive in Ghana?". I would love to hear more. Love this, keep feeding!

Exactly be specific, this took place in Ghana. And panel members including Ghanaians so call it as it is and not generalize to Africans. There are 54/5 unique countries in Africa.

Even on this platform there are ads enticing Africans to move to Canada. They want our best and brightest to bolster their economy, their standard of living all the while looking down on Africa.

Just stay in your own countries and do your thang, nobody is forcing y'all to leave Africa unlike what was done to the ones in the past.

The American lady is her feelings about slavery and colonialism. Every country in the world had been colonized even Britain. Corruption is our problem. We need the government to be accountable

Interesting and insightful conversation, but for me, that leadership issue is now a lame talk. Who are the leaders? You and I are the potential leaders and every leader came out from the midst of the people so you only express the dominant consciousness of the society and whatever you focus upon, judge or condemn you recreate in yourself at the subliminal level and when those leadership opportunities surface you can only give that which is within, that which you give attention to feelingly day in and day out, garbage in, garbage out. It's not rocket science.

Most African citizens should start taking responsibility for themselves and stop blaming external forces for their problem. I was in Ghana recently and the level of corruption is unacceptable .Ghana can not developed if the citizens look unconcern. Most schools in the rural areas don’t have table and chair, teachers are not be paid, bad roads everywhere, bad sanitation around urban areas and the major cities. These are internal issues that can be fix, but due to corruption the govt do not care.
