Each one is a different build.. that's what's good. That keeps me coming back... Mac
Just got through rebuilding carbs on my Honda GL1000. Will wait for warmer weather to test ride it. I would love to see you tackle an old Gold Wing. No wonder a single car carb and intake conversion is available for these Hondas
Keep the videos coming please, you have an excellent channel and I was able to rebuild my CB350f carbs after watching your carb rebuild video. Bike started on first kickstart.
My first project I ever had was an 87 cbr600. Very similar carb setup. Was so stoked when I finished it and now working on my Harley it's like nothing lol
Great video, I love carb work. When dealing with a rack of 4 carbs, the CB750 bottle top style carbs seem like the easiest to work on. I like that the bowls go on with just a clip, no screws needed. And the tops unscrew by hand. Not a ton of parts on those carbs....compared to some of the others. That being said, I have an extra set of bottle tops that I've cleaned, rebuilt and sandblasted but can't get to work correctly. I keep getting a hanging idle (and it's not an air leak at the boots). I bought the extra set of carbs as an educational exercise... I wanted to take them completely apart, clean and reassemble them without worrying that I might screw something up. This spring I'm going to get that extra set to run correctly.
Those look very nice. I've got a broken tower that holds the float. Is there a way to fix that? My idea is cutting it off flush drilling a hole and threading a small bolt then drilling a hole through it for the float pin and cutting the head off the bolt making it more like a stud. Think that might work?
I want to rebuild the carb for my '78 Suzuki GS750 (first timer) - Are the air/fuel screws the only hardware that is adjusted? Meaning, in reassembly, all jets and fuel hardware are seated snuggly besides the adjustment capabilities of the air/fuel screws. I want to do this right but haven't been able to find this info or torque specs (if any on a carb). Thanks for any help.
I had a 400four super sport. I cut my teeth on these carbs. One of the best Hondas ever made and certainly the one of the best looking. Handled great, too.
I started watching your videos recently, great to see someone who actually knows how to diagnose and fix engines. I love the cafe racer rebuilds, but would like to know why you delete front and rear guards. I guess it's the usual style, but doesn't it mean that that the engine is going to get blasted with grit, dirt, water and oil? After you spent all that time cleaning up and repainting the engine! Why not fit trimmed down guards to keep the crap off? It will still look cool.
