Wow I hate when people like her tap dance for acceptance you clearly understand the main girls objective of what she was saying. I’m mixed but have pale white skin so I loved wearing braids to relate to my blk side and yes non blk people would tell me braids are too ghetto and my curls look better I’m too pretty for braids and to leave it to “them blk girls” and that was just a few years ago smh I cussed out my fair share of them but now all of a sudden braids are for everyone 🤷🏻♀️ naaaaaahh I felt everything the first girl said and then some 🙄
Just change your pillow case that’s what I do satin pillow cases . And fyi being Latin like u call it has nothing to do with anything . My daughter has curly hair tight curls she wears that to sleep .

White people can’t talk about their natural hair being a culture same as black people. What black people consider “culture” it’s the braid itself, asides Viking braids other braids were created by black people, it’s a talent, it is a culture... though I do still believe culture should be shared.
I feel you on sharing culture but we get fired for our hair but others get to wear our cultural style with no repercussions. That’s why there’s a divide. 🤷🏽♀️

Then they're just using hair as excuse to fire you when in actually, they're just r@cist; if it actually was the hair, then making the hair normalized be the best option and that includes letting white people having box braids. If you gatekeep a hairstyle, people are not going to think that it's a normal thing and you won't be able to wear it in public without them having preconceived notions. The more people wear it = more normalized = more people can wear the the hairstyle in professional situations
