he's not the only one to pick a lock closed. I did it with 10 wafer locks on some lockers because I couldn't get the keys to some and none were keyed alike

"im the only guy to have ever picked a lock and and locked the front door" He's done it twice too. Absolouteley love the content you're putting out btw.
Mike should learn to draw a perfect circle with just himself, a piece of chalk and a chalkboard. It’s a really cool skill and I think it would be entertaining to watch
@Midousuji Akira and no u cant get the things back u can get money for them but u lose your things like if they steal ur phone they give u money back but u lose everything on it because there not going to just take out the sim card
"just running the tool back and forth hoping it works" is an absolutely valid technique called 'raking' and at least two of the tools in your pick set are designed for just that.
I have a new video idea: This weak I learnd how to fix bad posture. I personally really could use a video like that and im sure many others would as well
I grew up doing this for people, and masterlocks are always my favorite, the little hole In bottom was perfect for bending the pick, getting a decent tension wrench was always the tricker part
Me and two of my friends learned how to lockpick a simple padlock like the one at the end of your video in a single car ride. We just brute forced our way to finding out how to do it. Kind of scary how easy it is to get by some of the things that we rely on so heavily.
Anti-theft insurance is going to go through the roof with these types of videos 😂 On another note, Mike is truly a huge inspiration - seeing his journey inspired me to start my own channel, and even got me out of my comfort zone to try new things thats I've always wanted to learn! As a school teacher, it's especially cool, being able to show my students my own learning processes, whenever they get discouraged! Thank you, Mike! 🙏🏽
@@corporateliquidator5357 It's a common way to advertise for social media:- 1. Find a(or many) page/account that is similar to your page/account. 2. Write a nice comment giving an incentive to check your account/page (Tip - don't spam) (Tip 2 - be one of the early comments so many people read them)
4:05 Trying to make the Raking pick (what you called a hook), you might be able to do it easier by bending one of the paperclip "u" apart and together again until it snaps. This gives the pick shape without needing to bend one of the ends specifically into that shape and struggling to find something strong enough around you to bend it (or chipping a tooth). That's how I used to make my raking picks when experimenting with paperclips and bobby pins.
But then you get a very sharp and "bite-y" edge on the tip of the pick that gets caught on pins and probably other parts of the lock. It's better than a chipped tooth but I think it's better to just use the lock to make a hook at the end of the pick
5:57 "Dragging the pick up and down hoping the pins randomly fall into position" is a real technique! It's what the LockPickingLawyer calls "a low skilled raking attack" It's also what the very bumpy shaped "pick" is for (that one's called a "city rake" btw) Often it's much faster than single-pin-picking, especially on low quality locks

I feel like displate isn't going to be around for much longer, People using unlicensed copyrighted imagery for profit don't typically go unnoticed for long lol
when i was a kid i was in my brothers room wit a random stick i found outside and my brothers door had a key hole that was the same type as a vintage key (search dat up i u want ) and my little brain was like "hey, leme shove that stick up that hole and twist" low and behold i somehow look the door and the key that my brother used to keep was not in his room so mah parents had to go on a hunt for a key for 2 hours before unlocking the door neddles to say i aint gonna shove sticks upp doors anymore :) (thx for reading btw)
As soon as the music kicked in around 1:10, my brain said "Hey guys, Spirit of the Law here..." (it's an Age of Empires channel, which always uses the same music).... totally cool :D
Could you do a video on learning to flip a balisong or butterfly knife, I’m really interested in getting into it and would love your take on the subject
This guy should do a video to explain how a dweeb can get 2.4 million subs for horrifyingly boring videos. And then do another video to profile a typical sub, one of the the 2.4 million, to show how they don't filter anything they allow to enter into their brain.
Im over the moon rn. Just managed to unpick the lock to my uni room after locking my keys in there, used two hair clips from a friend and couldn't believe it when it opened, never picked a lock before today but remembered this video from last year and it worked! I know youll never see this but I'm so relieved rn I just had to come back and pay my thanks.
Hey Mike, I'm a real fan of your videos, could you please try a video on dunking? I could really see this being an entertaining but still challenging video.
2:44 Mike: i just used hot glue to put this on, so i definitly wouldn't put anything valuable in this. 2:54 olso mike: i'm gonna stick a phone in there.
