Hey doc I'm on fenesterid for about 2 month no sexual problem.. initially I got more libido.. everything was good..but recently I am experiencing pain on my left chest just arround my left nipple..is it Gynecomastia? I have stopped taking fenesterid for about 5 days the pain is getting lesser..but I definitely want to continue fenesterid.. please help by giving any suggestions about doses so that I can avoid the side effects..I was on 1mg alternate days..can I switch to 0.5 mg alternate days.. would that be effective? Can I use topical fenesterid with minoxidil combination? In that case is it as effective as oral one? Please help..

@@vishweshpandey1112 I don't think this is a good idea. You're essentially leaving the follicles that are susceptible to DHT/miniturisation exposed for 3-4 weeks at a time, again and again. @vishweshpandey1112
@vishweshpandey1112 2 года назад
@@bonkling No , what I told here was told to me by famous hair transplant doctors. Leaving it for 20 days or 30days will not cause any harm because finestride starts working as soon as you take and remain in the tissue for many days .And during that abstain you will flush out finestiride from you tissue level wich will decrease the side effect of finestride . BUT leaving for days should be done carefully keeping in mind the rate of baldness.. Genrally In 30s the rate of baldness decreases Be careful not to overdose the drug otherwise the body will ask for more and more and it will also have a higher chance of causing side effects. Nothing is certain about hair . There are many causes unknown There are many patterns unknown There are various men with variang degree and rate and pattern of baldness at the same age. And different follicles at the same Head and different sensitivity level to DHT.

Absolutely not. Even if your hair loss progresses it will still be at a slower rate when on finasteride. Which makes it CRUCIAL to stay on it if you get hair transplants. Your donor is limited and if you loose too much native hair you will end up with a completely unnatural appearance.

The short answer is yes, if taking 3 tablets a week is not effective the next logical step is to up the dose which would normally be 1 mg every day. This could then also include dut if you were still not getting a good respone. However this should all be done on the advice of your prescribing practioner. Things such as symptoms, and giving time for the changes to work are all important and best given by them.

Hey Dr, What are those other things that are happening in the body as we get our years in for finastride? Just want to know how I can best mitigate those as well. I recently start at 21 years old and its been working great. Also can a hair transplant from doner area along with finastride and possibly mitigating those other factors you talked about that come with age stabalize my hair till my old age?

I’ve been taking finasteride inconsistently for almost one year and now I’m paying the price ! The medication doesn’t work for me right now ugh 😣 even though Since the last 6 months I’m taking it every day but still nothing 😢😢😢😢😢 my hair still shed and thin like crazy

The doctors on this youtube channel recommend taking it (1 mg) 3 times a week, though. Your inconsistency might've matched that. Once a day is fine, though.

Finasteride 1mg should be taken daily as the body processes it that quickly within a few hours... Not days. The half life of Finasteride is 4-6 hours (the most effective period). After six hours the effect of Finasteride drops off. The half life of medicine dictates how much and how many doses one is prescribed. Finasteride is like most other drugs which are metabolized (lose their effectiveness completely) within 24 hours. Some patients benefit from half doses twice a day. Nearly all patients benefit from a single dose daily. I started Finasteride over five years ago when I noticed receding. Just over a year ago TSA accidentally dropped or stole my pills while searching my checked luggage. I had to wait three days for new pills to be delivered. In just those three day DHT levels rose so dramatically I had substantial hair fall for the following three weeks. Because I do not take anything for hair regrowth, the receded hair line and thinning remains. Spikes in anxiety, stress, getting sick (influenza, Covid, etc), and diet causes further shedding for most. When sick or we experience hormone spikes in our brain the body responds by focusing it's energy on the issue. Shedding hair is a way of conserving energy and nutrients. I would resume taking Finasteride daily and add biotin supplements to your diet to give your hair the best changes of health and survival. Since I am not your doctor, I suggest you visit yours. There is some evidence of Finasteride being less effective or totally ineffective if stopped and restarted for some men. Many who sign up with these online companies (HIMS, KEEPS, and the like) "specializing" in hair loss treatments, do not know this can happen if they stop and start. These companies do not share this information with their customer's. Their aim is to keep the revenue flowing. They don't care if you had to skip a month or three because finances were tight.... Getting you to restart your subscription is their goal. Generic Finasteride is just $12 (Costco) for a 90 day supply of 2mg tablets, for me. If finances are preventing you from taking Finasteride daily via an online subscription membership, get a prescription from your doctor and shop around for the best price. A 90 day supply is almost always going to be cheaper. Try to get two pills a day for the first month - 120 pills total for a 90 day supply. Just take 1 pill a day. This way you will have a buffer of 30 pills if something prevents you from refilling your prescription on time. If after six months of a daily dose you continue to see excessive shedding you will know Finasteride is not working for you. At that time you need to see a dermatologist for an exam of your scalp, a review of your diet, other medications, supplements you take, and family history of hereditary hair loss. It might also be beneficial to have your testosterone levels check as well. Some medications and supplements can affect T levels, either too high or too low affects the body in many ways. When you do see your doctor regarding a prescription for daily Finasteride, he or she will likely do a full blood panel to ensure you can safely take Finasteride. These blood test will include hormone levels. To anyone reading this who is thinking about joining one of the online subscription clubs...... DON'T. There is no substitute for your doctor or the blood tests needed to ensure your health is good enough to safely take Finasteride or the supplements and other treatments these clubs offer. In many cases seeing your doctor and obtaining a prescription is far more affordable than those online subscription clubs. Stopping and starting again because of their high cost could result in permanent hair loss. From what I understand for many once they stop, even for a week or two, it's all over..... Restarting Finasteride was no longer effective at preventing excessive hair fall. Their hair continued to fall out despite restarting. Remember..... Finasteride does not regrow hair. It only stabilizes existing hair producing follicles. Regrowing or thickening thin strands is a separate, costly treatment. Cheers!

PLEASE cite the studies showing reduction in efficacy over time. You say at 5 years it's down to 64%. This is CRUCIAL information for someone considering a hair transplant! PLEASE cite the studies. I am aware of multiple studies showing efficacy is maintained at 10 years and efficacy at 1 year predicts efficacy at 10 years.

It is not the innate efficacy of finestide . The 64% figure is about the no. Of LUCKY men out of 100 who could could maintain the hair with fknestride

If you stop loosing effectiveness,just examine scalp related infections or internal issues such as biotin ,zinc or vitamin d3 deficiency or daily food habits or stress management .If you get a hair transplant ,the surgeon will already give you a list of diets ,foods to avoid ,shampoos to use,exercises or multivitamin tablets ,other than finesteride .If you maintain the things prescribed by doctor religiously ,finesteride will be effective till lifetime after transplant .There's nothing to worry about

Dude you're not really explaining how Fin works for the milionth time on this channel. Jeez, 60-70% content here has literally become recycling Fin/Min mechanics. So lazy. This whole video's content, almost word by word, you can find as part of at least 10-15 other videos on this channel. Literally can't invest less effort into new content than this. Feel free to touch upon other topics, like PDO Scalp threading, peppermint oil, etc...

They are doctors that have to use what is legally recommended such as having FDA approval etc. This will include LLLT, Min and Fin, everything else is often not approved and has little if any medical evidence to supprort its effectiveness. Hence the focus on these things. But if your lucky your question might get a quick mention.
