2:57 This exact moment was the deciding part of this entire fight If you don’t know, Balteus’s cannon shot tracks your stick/key movement, reads the input, and fires accordingly (same with most C-weapon bosses). After being stunned, there was a split second where he could’ve dodged the blast but it was very, very minuscule. He was just fast enough to dodge it and win the fight. Very impressive
i kinda stumbled on the tank build that people seem to be using to power thru this guy, but i didn’t have all the guns necessary at the time…. and i just couldn’t get past the 2nd stage and the fire without the right weaponry to stun lock this guy, the tank really can’t get out of the way of the fire. so i went back to full speed, 2 assault rifles, 2 launchers and just worked at it until i beat this sucka. haven’t had that hard of a time on a boss in a while. not even in Elden Ring. probably not since the Nameless King in Dark Souls 3 did something stump me that bad.
I tried so hard to beat him with my ultralight AC and couldn't get it till I beat him with a more specialised mech and convinced myself it was possible, I intend on bringing this thing through the whole game even if it costs me my sanity
I was struggling too! Just now finding out high mobility wasnt the play haha. Makes you feel good though when you finally do beat him like that with your own specialized build!
I struggled with a speed build, switched to tank, struggled even harder. realised speed is king and proceeded to make a full speed build with plasma shoulder cannons and plasma smgs to shred his shields and absolutely destroyed him first try witht he build haha
@@Z-7_ Personally I agree, the problem is that addiction is their marketing tactic so they make it fun briefly then pull out the money making purchases after people have gotten a taste of what might’ve been a good game.
1:15 that shotgun dodge is crazy. great respect. I've also tried using a high-speed close combat build. Compared to grenade launcher, shotgun attacks are more difficult to dodge at close range because they dont have warning sound or pre-attack animations. Additionally, a single hit can stun you.
i found the handguns a little more workable with a light build since they get pretty good impact, but with low recoil and a mag of 7 or 8, compared to the shotgun’s 1. in 1 v1 ac fights, a dual handguns and a blade to swap to can be pretty great actually…. if you’re fast.
hey, if there is a thing I learned after years of using Dex-based builds and classes is that went you go dex, evasion is your armor. No matter what the number for your HP is, all you will see is 3HP. Then as many additional HP depending on how many healing items you are allowed to bring
I definitely eat shit a lot, but I one thing I find about AC6 (and maybe AC games in general, souls noob here), is that boss fights are a DPS race, so why slap on more AP when you can just kill them before they kill you?
This is how I would have preferred to clear this boss. I went with a pure tank with burst. It wasn’t cheese, but more of a race on who will die first. Took me like +50 tries. 😅
Haha, same with me. I was sucking at dodging the missile massacre, and the chip damage was ruining my lighter builds, so I finally beat it by just going laser cannons and boom boom sticks on the heftiest tank I could build.
Not even best game at all, it just penalized you for not making a specialized build like power, speed, dodge or long range specialist. The bosses are just pain in ass if you dont have correct build like if you make too much power, you will have hard time to dodge his signature attack and it caused lots of damage. Going for speed and dodge will penlized you for lack of HP and Armor, this wont work for certain boss who have high accuracy where if you dont time correctly, you will received 3-4k damage in single attack.
@@hartonosutrisno5452You can beat any boss with any build, but even in the game trailer they made clear that changing your build can help you overcome some enemies or bosses you were struggling with. That's the whole point. I beat this boss on my 3 try using a speed build with double shotguns without changing anything.
Balteus is THE "early game Skill check" of all skill checks. Dudes is fast like Orphan of Kos, almost as tough as Fire Giant, AoE of Demon Prince and aggression of Margit. I said to myself I will play as tank in this game, but speedy bois playstyle is by far my favorite. FromSoftware just did it again. Bless you guys. We got another banger 🙏❤️
there's some deliciously cursed stuff, my current build is an AC with a rocket fist and pile bunker on left side and a shotgun + shoulder mounted laser shotgun on the right, another build I've been playing with is homing cluster missiles on both arm and shoulder slots, the screen just turns into a bullet hell for the enemy
@@SamClaymor where Sgt Johnson knew what the ladies liked, you my man know what every man woman and child like without them knowing. I look forward to how cursed those builds end up being.
even better, an armored core model kit that you can switch and change the part like in the game, it will be awesome to be able to create your own mech from the game in real life
I wondered this too, beat the game, and went back the second time with a speed build of 357 and every weapon being missiles. Needless to say, it was a satisfying experience to destroy the missile boy at his own game. Beautiful work with the dodging and use of your en, and a beautiful AC at that
I can say yes. I did this for my first playthrough. Almost the exact same build and strat before looking you up. This was hard lol. Not sure how many attempts. 50ish? Sticking with the light build for sure after learning it. Too much fun.
I am happy to see another speed build struggling, i was beginning to think i was alone. But seriously good job. Also nice thinking putting your melee weapon in the shoulder weapon bay so you can have 2 guns while not meleeing.
I'd just like to draw attention to how beautifully the ending of the fight lines up with the Lyrics. "AP at 30%" into "STANDING HERE, I REALISE" like it was the final phase beat drop for YOUR boss theme, and the final hit landing and triggering the slow motion as the song reaches "violence breeds violence" is on a whole new level of epic.
i srsly love how everyone can fight each boss so differently ❤ i went with quad leg and best booster+gen, as well as array of both shoulders being plasma cannons, oscilator in right and pilebunker on left tldr:i basicly was fighting bolteus for aerial supermancy
I knew this had to have taken you a long time because I tried the same thing and man I haven't beaten the game yet but this is by far my most hated boss. Looked at the description on your video and said yep sounds about right.
I knew about pulse rifles, but I had no idea you could go back to the assembly without restarting the whole mission, so I wrangled with Balteus with my wonky speed build for 3 hours before finally attaining victory. Thank god I brought 2 melee weapons because my shotgun and missiles did jack to his shield. Its risky, but stabbing him to death is very doable.
tip: rush when you see the first sign of balteus using missile shower and use melee for the first phase, you have enough time for one pile bunker or two slash then rush back to avoid the missile. second phase, rush when balteus do lava floor and attack from behind. pilebunker is your best friend here. i use pilebunker+laser sword with speed build AC. if you want easy mode, use dual pulse gun to shave his shield, and missile shoulder to shave his shield from far away, and pilebunker for direct hit
The Cursed Guns FPS Man playing ACVI with crazy strats is content I never knew I needed. Also proves that game is so fucking good that it's attracting new fans.
everybody gangsta till the colossal MECH-THING starts blasting "collective consciousness" while you're beating it up with fire power and COURAGE OF STEEL.
I'm so proud that the first time I beat him I was using my speed build. It was rough and I thought about switching a couple times but you get the dodging down eventually
There are times I miss the 4/FA speed, or how I got near those speeds in Nexus, with an ultra-light Hover Legs setup However, a more controlled speed is a lot more digestible on the whole
I've tried so many builds to beat this guy until I eventually fell back to my Reverse Leg configuration with dual wield smgs and, I can't remember if it was dual basic missile launchers or the missile launcher with a sword in the weapon bay. Plan was to just deep dodging and unload as much dakka into it as possible. Didn't work the first time, yet somehow I came closer with this build compared to any other build. so kept at it and the forth attempt finally killed this guy. For me, the dodgy, speedy build just clicks
Tried a speed built in my first playthrough, squatted like an annoying fly by that blasted boss. So I tried a tank with double pulse guns and double Lazer cannons and beat it after my 105th try 😂 You can't level up in this game, you can only buy equipment, skill, and plenty of near infinite patience 😂😂
this boss teaches you that if you use a speed build youd better have mastered the mobility. tanks can get away with being sloppy but your little reverse joint chicken legs cant
I did a similar build, same parts, but two of the beginning missile launchers and the pistol looking weapon. Had to stay close range to force the bullets to hit, and didnt let the stagger bar recover. It became a matter of not getting hurt or conserving repairs until certain AP thresholds. Took at least 20 tries but managed to pull through after like an hour.
I used Rusty's Steel Haze Ortus (All Elcano Alba parts) with a couple of modifications. Akimbo Viento, pinwheel blade on left shoulder, Trueno on right shoulder.
Managed to crush him with the first blade, balam machine gun, and double rockets on all Nacht parts on the fourth attempt. Had to abuse boost kick to trigger the stagger so both blade hits were enhanced damage but it worked out disturbingly well once I got the rhythms down.
Oh my gosh you have ascended everyone quick subscribe to him now he's playing armor core 🌟✨😎✨🌟 , I can't wait to see some curse Mack 😆. What a beautiful performance you have hidden talent young lad 🥹
good job man =) I got stuck on the final boss of the second chapter using a heavy build and decided to make a light mech for fun, and only took two shotguns/ And it worked on the first try =) I have a screenshot to prove it)
Here I am, just searching for cursed ac6 build and then here you are, sam claymore, one of my go to creators to watch cursed guns other than yosho, posting this just 17hr ago. You read my mind or something?
The only problem with lightweight builds is that if you so much as get a tiny little love tap from a stray bullet, you instantly get staggered and stunlocked for freakin ever. It’s kinda ridiculous.
there's an easier way to defeat this boss with a speed build, u just gotta follow him and stay close to the boss in the air and spam to death. like that you can easily avoid his attacks and do a lot of damage. (but for that you also need a close- middle range build) even if I ran out of bullets before killing him (:
this gives me hope to keep trying with my speed build, thank you. what are the weapons youre using? are they available via normal progression or are only things you can get after?
Dual pulse bubblers, pulse sword, plasma shoulder turret. U need the weapon bay thing to do this but i destroyed this guy fairly easily once i learned his moveset for the most part
another good build is the two handguns, i think they're called conquillions or something with 2 songbird shoulders weapons, get the boss to shatter easy/quickly with the dual pistols and then blast him to oblivion, on chapter 4 now with speed build and some bosses are more of a pain, but everyone so far has been beatable. The thing with the speed build is you have to learn the mechanics and actually dodge because you get punished so much more then a beefy boi build
Glad I wasn’t the only one able to do this with a light ac, funnily enough it really just is a skill diff, and that’s what I love about armored core. Sure some acs are stronger than others, but the best raven will always win no matter what
It took me 2 hours to beat it with a light weight build to get through to chapter 2. Gotta say one you found its pattern and be brave to break it with melee weapons then it's not that hard to beat.
