My favourite boss weapon of Dark Souls 1 is chaos zweihander. What I like about it, that you don't have to kill a boss or refine the soul or cut the tail, you have to become the boss, the giant dad yourself. Very unique mechanic.

Watching you wreck sanctuary guardian with a catalyst after dying to him 20 times over 2 playthroughs of Darksouls left me in shock XD

Fun challenge! My favorite boss weapon would probably be the Dragon King Greataxe. I love the special slam attack it has and I'm always a fan of comically large weapons!

Didn’t mention my favourite weapons in my comment on the community post so I’ll do that now. I don’t often use boss weapons in DS1 due to how they’re created, but some are fun enough to be worth it once in awhile. My favourite of these would actually be the Crystal Ring Shield, as it looks quite cool and the special attack is a lot of fun to use. Since it’s a shield you can also make use of another weapon in the right hand, a kind of dual wielding that other boss weapons in DS1 won’t allow. In terms of tail weapons, I’d funnily enough go with the Obsidian greatsword. On the downside, it’s gained from an absurdly obnoxious tail cut on one of my least favourite bosses in the game, but once that’s done you’re left with only positives. It feels like a DS2 or 3 weapon with that special attack, which is great in both PvE and PvP. Honourable mention to the Moonlight Greatsword, which lets you turn the tables and use those awful DS1 lingering explosion hitboxes to your own benefit.

That Sen’s fortress song was simply… SENsational.

My favourite boss weapon from this game is probably Chaos blade. I'd also give props to Artorias's sword, but I don't remember which one is which 😂

I really like the Moonlight Butterfly horn on DS1 for some reason. It’s one of my favorite bosses and I always love to play dex/int builds. Or the Gargoyle’s tail axe

The Life Hunt Scythe is my favorite pair it with the Bloodbite ring and Power within it Shreds Boss health bars even without bleed its high damage is just amazing

If you get the shield in painted world that reduces bleed buildup and the Bloodbite ring, you can use the lifehunt scythe with basically no drawbacks, unless you manage to attack 50 times in a row. It does comparable damage to a maxxed great scythe with a ton more bleed buildup, and it's not hard to have a plus 3 or 4 before you even get to O&S

The demon's great machete is underrated. Its my favorite weapon out of all the souls games. It made me furious that you can see them lying all over the place in DS3 and yet you cant get it.

Queelag's Furysword is so good, I got some use out of it in my BKGA build.

Demon Great Machete is the Goat 😏

i just did a (mostly) normal runthrough of ds1 with a str build, then swapped to mainly using int in ng+, as i also wanted to use sorcery. The Demon Catalyst was actually kinda cracked in the early game and got me through a good chunk of the bosses on its lonesome (got up to o&s, but the range just didnt cut it for them)

Would love to see a darksouls 3 equivalent of this vid someday, now thinking about it more ds3 vids would be awesome in general

I'm pretty sure you can use a broken straight sword for Greatsword/Cursed Greatsword of Artorias :P

Definitely the Axe of Taurus Demon. Forgot the name of it. It has S scaling in Strength once fully upgraded. Been a while since I've played DS1 but I remember using it to min max my damage.

Gravelord Sword is probably my favorite - it was the weapon I used in my first (and blind) playthrough of DS Remastered. It was so cool to find it and once I started watching online DS videos I realized how few people use it!

I think there's also a fist weapon you can get from the Iron Golem that could have saved you bending the rules with Stray Demon. You could have also totally justified using the Crystal Ring Shield after the moonlight butterfly, although that'd mean you had enough weapons to do the centipede demon fight, so perhaps best we just forget about that one...

Your explanation at the beginning have me an idea! Consumable soul only run. You can only use consumable souls and boss soul weapons. Boss armours are the only armor you can use too.

I remember when Lemon from the Backlogs did his 'Magic Catalyst Only' run, the Demon Catalyst was the MVP of the entire run.

My favorite is the Demon greataxe because I got one from the "mandatory" Taurus demon and was like: "Yeah I'm going to use this."

I love Demons Great Hammer. It's early and not RNG related drop, I can equip it before Gargoyles just playing normally and do a lot of damage. It's the best strength weapon paired with de Demons Greataxe. Also love Lifehunt Scythe for dex builds. Autobleed it's nothing with the ring and it's even more pointless with the shield. And do a lot of damage. Those two are my favorite weapons for basic and straight str/dex builds. Very broken.

I’d love to see this run in DS3 and Elden Ring

I know this isn't a glitch playthrough but if you allowed glitches you could get around your rule breaks. Using the firebomb quitout on the asylum demon would keep it alive but let you get the key, you can get the Dragon King Greataxe, Gargoyle Tail Axe, Pricilla's Dagger, Moonlight Greatsword, Guardian Tail, and Obsidian Greatsword without killing any bosses (Depth clip, iron golem wrong warp, and early archives).

Chaos Blade is my favorite along with Priscilla's dagger

The first time I fought Kalameet, I was desperate to get his tailcut. The sword looked so cool...it took me over 45 minutes to do it and then I died. But I DID get the Obsidian Greatsword. I'll never forget that.

I love the weopeons designs in this game and hoping in elden ring we get to see some of those for the dlc like the guardian tale as a whip

If it's just about beating the game, you could have taken the gaping dragon and kalameet's weapons without killing them, so you wouldn't waste a weapon killing optional bosses.

If you're having trouble cutting Seath's tail, the easies way to do it is to bait him into destroying his own crystal and run behind him while he's staggered. Bone out if you don't get the tail cut and repeat until successful.

Hey man just a tip, use humanity to heal if you’re out of estus. It’ll make things like that death drop right next to the bonfire in sens be non existent. And you don’t have to worry about running out if you know where the drops are or where to buy them

Now TECHNICALLY, it was possible to farm up enough Eyes of Death to get Gravelords Greatsword Dance. Then, wait for centipede demon to swing and cut his arm off using the miracle, which grants the orange ring After that, the kick deals 1 fire damage to the boss, so you COULD HAVE killed him with roughly 3500 kicks That bein said, thank you for NOT doing that

Beat every Dark Souls 2 but what their most resistant too

When i saw the title of this video, I tried to figure out a route that was possible. Not counting the asylum demon there are 25 bosses, and you can start in firelink with the Demon Hammer. You need 24 more weapons. You can get 20 from drops (including the Gargoyle shield). If you include any weapon upgraded with demon titanite you can get the Gravelord Sword and Demon Spear. If you include all tail cuts you can get the Drake sword and Dragon Greatsword. With that, you can barely make it to the end of the game.

I love both the lifehunt scythe and the demon great axe the scythe because bleed is broken and the great axe because of the sweet s scaling
