Can You Beat Dark Souls 2 By Setting Yourself on Fire? (Torch & Immolation Only)

Dark Souls 2 immolation and torch only. In other words, by setting yourself on fire and waving a torch around? The torch and the immolation pyromancy are likely the worst weapon and spell in the game, even worse than bare fists or the broken ladle. No buffs, upgrades or infusions. Main game only but I might go back for some DLC later on. A bit like the Olympic torch run but attacking with it and keeping yourself lit as well

That's the best time to hit his left arm, in fact. If you deal it enough damage, it falls off and he can't use it in phase 2 anymore. He also has a unique defeat animation if you beat him while he's down, he doesn't just snap back to a standing position.

Immolation would be a much better pyromancy if it drastically increased your fire resistance while active, and maybe increased outgoing fire damage. Basically just a super specific slightly augmented power within

good job, fine work skeleton. I just wanna mention that after the snake-eater ladder, if you crunch yourself right into the corner to the left you can aggro one of the mannekins (you can hear it through the wall) so when you get into their room they are pre-separated. GGs!

I used whisper of despair in my torch only run, with ROB+1, Flynn's, fire clutch which you get from the chilly DLC, AND sacred oath from Velstat's soul becomes very viable damage easily comparable to fist only:) just requires lots of casting and buffing constantly as you fight (if U wanna allow non dmging spells) nice video!

if you get soaked in water (or equip the pharros mask), use immolation and exit into the main menu it'll give the self fire infinite duration only logical conclusion now is to kill NG+7 fume knight with warm hugs

Desert sorceress cleavage is nice, and moon butterfly underboob is nice, but nothing beats smelter demon armor. You can either outheal it, destroy the orbs by attacking them, or lure her away from them. Or the hollow skin from the iron king DLC whch negates curse completely

It's actually pretty bad for setting up RTSR since you cannot make it stop. Just like power within in DS1, it runs on a timer that is not even affected by sitting at a bonfire
