On the way up to Vegas, I met Veronica, one of them scribes from the Brotherhood. You could tell it too, smart as she was. Tank of a lady, 'specially when ya caught her in that power armor. And with a fist that could knock the lights out of a momma deathclaw. Now Arcade Gannon was a strange man. Met him at the Follower's Old Mormon Fort. A Doctor by trade, and a shady history to boot. But he had a damn good heart, and was handy with one of them Plasma Rifles. Sumbitch saved my life more then I'll ever admit. Found old Rex here hanging out with a fella called himself the King. Said he was fighter, a killer, but most of all, one hell of a Companion. And he was right. Slobbering fool ain't left my side in all these years. Was talk of a radio station up on old Black Mountain. And sure enough they was right. And the man holding the whole thing together was Raul. Maybe a hundred years old, and complained about the arthritis enough to prove it! But that ghoul could fix just about anything you put in front of em. Guns, armor, hell, even that old pedant Cass carried with her. Best goddamn Handyman in the Mojave, I bet my life on it. Finally found ourselves in Jacobstown, snow capped mountain to the west of Vegas. Was a refuge of Super Mutants and Nightkins. Was there we found our Wild Card. Old Nightkin woman named Lily. Cared for each and every one of us like her own. Kind heart, and gentle soul, 'cept she'd have these fits every so often. You'd hate to be on the receiving end of that Super Sledge ass whippin." @@gtbest5417 yeah. It's usually random and the one playthrough I actually took him with me as a companion he never brought me anything useful. That said what I found useful in the game and what you might find useful in the game may be different.
Imagine being Vulpes here, walking out and seeing a Nightkin, a trader, a doctor and a mechanic in raider gear, a BoS scribe in power armor, the courier, a former NCR sniper, an enclave eyebot, and all your troops dead for all of 3 seconds before being turned into a fine red paste. That’s assuming he even got to see them at all, seeing as how he probably opened the door and immediately got blown away.
Arcade is surprisingly vicious. The first thing he said when I got him as a companion was that he wasn't afraid to kill off the bad guys of the wasteland. As soon as I left the Mormon fort he gunned down 2 thugs and everyone from the Silver Rush. Thanks Arcade!
Hell I remember one time when we shot gommorah up after I lost all my caps in there because I don't know how to play blackjack despite having luck of 10 ATM and he just shot everyone including the gamblers and the strippers lol
If you do the enclave quest cannibal Johnson or some of the other dudes follow you into the legates camp. Also you could've called an ncr support in through the emergency radio, they're permanent semi companions
.his unique armor is pretty crap tbf Like here’s what I’ll say His helmet REDUSES charisma instead of increasing it like the t-51 price and isnt as damage boosting as a rebreather/glasses plus beret combo, in exchange it’s unnoticeable stronger than T-51B, In this kinda run where companions are all that matter that automatically makes the armor useless. In terms of chest peices, assuming you had access to all armors, if only has slightly higher defense than T-51 and drops strength for carrying for energy guns skills, Meanwhile by the time you have the armor you can do almost nothing other than Hoover dam and you have to rely on fallout new vegas not bugging out and having arcade Gannon actually give you his quest like it never did for me. So in short While the base stats are higher they are already high enough that there is no noticeable difference between the armors however the special effects leave the armor the worst out of ever power armor, id rather steal the long -15 ncr power armor or the t-51b, plus why are you not wearing the perception boosting crit armor of boones hat or motor runners hat if you wanna max out power, even if you cannot turn in the fact you killed motor runner? The point to acquire the armor demands luck stability, problem game fixing mods not available on ps4 or something else, and if you use mods your not going to hold yourself Why am I typing for so long? Nah I’m just bored from this heat of today Now I’m thinking about it the new vegas enclave armor runs into the Same issues umbra from oblivion does Both are strong base stat wise but either A. Are equal to items you can find at the same level or b. Worse due to curcumstances regarding the items For example in oblivion if you ask what the strongest weapon is one of the most frequent answers is umbra, despite it literally not even having the highest damage, which goes to the bound great sword, umbra is just cool because it has permanent soul trap as it’s only effect, meaning it’s not capable of being powered up and yet people swear by it in all its uselessness. Except here the stats are technically slightly better than the 2nd place but it has enchantments that make it worse than most high tier items, they are by no means *bad* but they sit well above where people think they sit in the tier list
Fun fact: If you make yourself dirt stupid, you get a low int speech option with Arcade where he takes pity on you and agrees to travel with you without having to pass the Speech check, have Confirmed Bachelor, or be in good with the followers
4:08 I actually experienced this only like a week ago; I gave her a dress for the unarmed combat thing, but nothing happened, so I forgot about it until like 6 hours later when I sat in a chair once, and she suddenly squeled and gave me the unarmed combat thing. Stupid stuff lol

@@thelongestrose The easiest way to do it is to max out your Sneak and use a varmint rifle or ratslayer with a silencer and a shitload of AP rounds. All you have to do then is find a nice corner to hide in and get shootin'.

A year late, but whatever. It's actually an interaction with "They went That-a-way", the quest to track down Benny. Benny only walks down the stairs if you enter the Tops without clearing it, meaning you never talked to Jessup in Boulder City, or never looted his corpse, and will auto complete the quest.
I used this glitch when I played a merchant. I was pacifists and "hired" all the companions for their specific skills. Boons scouting, lily's and Veronica for their strength and intimidation factor, raul for his handyman skills, cass for her caravan experience, arcade for a medic. Was a pretty fun playthrough.
Thought it would be funny given the thumbnail, that and I wanted to do a follow up to the fallout 3 video where I beat the game with only Dogmeat and beat New Vegas with only Rex
I like to imagine Boone is best friends with Cass and Ganon. The former cuz theyre both pretty straightforward and are out for revenge. The latter create a mix of deapan and sarcasm that make it sound like they're married
Okay this might be my favorite challenge yet, it was so funny watching the squad just tear across the wasteland! I'd love to see you try something similar in Fallout 4, if you can find a non-modded way (or if you're okay using a mod just this once, either way!)
What difficulty was this on? If you do a pt2 w/ Rex, try hardcore very hard. That way companions can die. Edit: In this hardcore scenario, you'd be fighting too
7:40 Gannon is the fifth largest human npc in the game (his scale is set to 1.03), and damage in the gamebryo is multiplied by actor scale, which means he does 39.14 DAM/97.85 DPS with his plasma defender at level 5, his base level. He also can wear power armor, although it’s difficult to find non-brotherhood PA, so unless you’re lucky and find generic T-45D, you’re out of luck cos the only other PA he can wear is the Gannon Family armor, and you can’t get that without finishing his companion quest, which permanently removes him from the companion roster.

I think its possible to let Cass handle everything, especially if you get her both of the perks and a light machine gun. Boone can also do the one-man army thing, with anti-materiel rifle and power armor. The only problem Veronica has is dealing with cazadores, especially if you play on hard and can get companions killed permanently.
I literally have tried everything on the entirety of the internet to get Jeannie May dialogue option to come up and it never works so she never dies and he will never be my companion. Would love to have tried Boone as a companion but can’t!

So, for any future challenge videos you decide to do, it is possible for you to get 4 special stats to 10 before you level up for the first time. You can get implants at the new Vegas medical clinic from doctor Usanagi (think I'm spelling her name right) that permanently increase special stats for 4k caps each
@@Phi_Lix I went to one of the outposts for the republic and stole a bunch of stuff. The one I went to had about 3 or 4 sets of combat armor regardless of what level you are, should bring you to 8k caps depending on how much you steal
@@Phi_Lix There's another way, which I tend to use, but is far more strict. Set Strength, Luck, Intelligence, and Endurance to 9, then set Skilled as a Trait. Make your way to Vegas via Black Mountain, marking as few areas as possible. You want to make sure before you gamble that you're below 110 XP, as the Blackjack challenge will grant 90. After that, break Wrangler, Gomorrah, and Ultra-Luxe, which nets 25,000 caps total. Grab 6 implants, making sure 1 is Intelligence, then go to Tops, break it, then get the last Special implant. Voila, level 4 with 4 stats at 10.If you plan on doing DLC, mainly OWB, you can move some points out of Strength and still hit 10.

You can indeed, would recommend just make sure to save often it can make things a little unstable due to the fact you aren't meant to have that many people with you at one time
