Chuck Norris was known for his roundhouse kick. Chuck Norris was in Walker: Texas Ranger An NCR Ranger teaches the Courier how to roundhouse kick. Coincidence?
Also, in the movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Ricky Bobby's two sons are named Walker and Texas Ranger. This has nothing to do with New Vegas but it's important because it's hilarious.
Sorry to be "that guy" but this isn't a roundhouse kick though as that's done standing, this is a sweeping kick I wish it was a roundhouse kick as that would be way cooler and blend better with the standing animations
We are all mourning Mathew Perry’s death, but it seems that FNV’s engine is taking it the hardest out of all of us. May he chat up angels with cans as big as their halos for eternity.
@@Nerbit13098 What about no-kill playthroughs of non-bethesda games, like GTA? Obviously there's missions where you need to kill people, but those shouldn't count against the run. Take GTA IV for example, there's people that Niko can spare, but he must kill Vlad, Dimitri, etc, but those should be seen as analogous to the radroach in vault 101. Basically a challenge of "can you drive carefully between missions in GTA or RDR" lol
why is small frame the least used?? 1 extra special point and it's agility no less! and there's an easy to complete challenge that almost completely negates the extra chance to get crippled.
This makes me want to see you do a run called, "Can You Beat Fallout: New Vegas as Bruce Lee?" Requirements -No armor, Lee wasn't one to fight with protection (in the movies) -Have to collect all unique unarmed weapons, Idk it seems like it would fit in this type of run -Have to get every perk related to unarmed, Lee went around collecting Martial arts like they were Pokémon -Have to learn EVERY special unarmed moves in the game, Lee is the Father of modern mixed martial arts -Have to beat every "Boss"(unique) enemy(Specimen 73, Moe, Shadis, Ghost of She, ect..), Lee needs to test and prove his strength in this post-apocalyptic world.
Fun fact about the Cram Opener, you can actually get TWO of them, fairly easily. So there’s the one you showed, where he’s dead in Freeside, but that one is actually the second one! The first one is on him, and can actually be pickpocketed out of his inventory, tho at low odds. But with some save scumming, you can pickpocket it off of him, and then once you finish the quest and find him dead in Freeside, he will have a completely different one on his corpse!
Yeah for the time there is no schedule anymore, having something out every Friday was nice and all but kinda made some things difficult to do on a weekly basis
I love the use of classic Fallout music in these videos. I'm surprised you didn't attempt to purchase "Greased Lightning" from the Brotherhood, a unique powerfist with greatly increased attack speed. I've never tried using the combination to my recollection but it'd have been interesting to see the Ranger Takedown done at super speed. Also, Greased Lightning with the Super Slam and Slayer perks after consuming Rushing Water makes you broken. Effectively, you can punch as quickly as you can click.
Hey Nerbit, I have yet to watch this video but I wanted to thank you. My son was born 4 months early and you have been a great source of stress relief since then. He is home now, happy and healthy. Now to the video.
Congrats bro! I remember how damn worried I was when my little brother was born, so the fact your son was born 4 months early must've been really frightening. You're gonna be a good father, I can just tell.
Geez. What is that, 24 weeks? That's like the limit of survivability. Glad he's home and doing well. My son was born at 32 weeks this year and had to stay in the NICU. I can't imagine the stress of him being born earlier.
@@butchdeadlift7551 he was at 23 weeks and 1 day. Which is just passed fetal viability. He surpassed all expectations set for him though. They said they would most likely have to resuscitate him when he was born but the little dude came out crying all on his own. All together his stay in the NICU was 5 months. But there were babies in there that had been for a year+ that still had a way to go so I am very grateful that it wasn’t longer. Sorry about the long post. I usually can’t help but brag on him when I get the opportunity.
Honestly I loved this technique,I remember trying to beat an entire run in unarmed just because of it,although because I was leveling up too fast I started to use other weapons
Damn, finding this video 3 weeks late hits hard. Loosing Mathew Perry and Mitten Squad makes this video a doozy. Absolutely love the video Nerbit. Keep up the great work!
a few melee focused npc's can actually teach you a special move. if you do some of their quests. Ranger andy teaches you the Ranger takedown if you help him with his issues. Veronica's can teach you a parry/counter move if you give her a dress. the khans pocket sand and i forgot what the legion unarmed skill.
@@ashwolf2006 legion unarmed skill is praetorian lunge taught by lucius in caesars tent i think all you need is 50 unarmed skill, and its a power attack while moving forward.
I like that since your videos aren't always posted on Friday anymore, any time I see one in my feed, it's like a Malcom Holmes style jumpscare but with a new Nerbit video
Nerbit i think I have the most difficult challenge run you’ve ever done. Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as an omertà thug? Have to use their weapons and armor, complete their quest line in the way that helps them most and pick the faction that would help them most.
that would probably be turning in cachino and completing the weapon smuggling at caesars behest, but yeah the suit and tommy gun would be a tough gambit
I have honestly never gotten the takedown mainly cause I always get sidestracked... Also thanks for the nv fix, and making great content in general man! Also wanna know what a stupid challenge run would be? Molotov only fallout 4.
The sweep is similar to pocket sand in the way that it’s affected by unarmed perks and weapons For instance a lot of people use the two step goodbye for explosive sand Explosive kicks work too Greased lightning makes it faster as does slayer with rushing water Also the paladin toaster gives you electric kicks in case you wanted lighting kicks A really good thing Is using the super heated saturnine fist and taking pyromaniac and using unarmed perks, Chems and rushing water to max damage
I like your creativity, I can watch you play the same handful of games and never gets old Some ideas for ya: can you beat Fallout 4 as an influencer? No attacks, no companions, just making npcs fight each other Fallout 4 as wolverine? Bladed claws, flannel shirt, call everyone bub Fallout 4 with only legendary gear? Weapons and armour have to have a legendary effect And since I haven't seen you touch this one in a while.... The Outer worlds with only unique equipment? Science weapons wouldn't count The outer worlds with only science weapons?
Watching your videos for years has reignited my desire to play this game again. It's not until I saw your videos I realize I have only scratched the surface of all New Vegas
Ah yes... I remember when I first learned the low sweep kick and started ripping legs off with every kick back when I was in college. Good times.... good times.
Been falling asleep to these for a while now and I don't think my brain can enter sleep mode anymore without listening to an northern irish man describing incredible acts of violence. I had an idea I thought might be interesting, since with the fallout 4 DLC you can craft robot companions what if you got the unlimited companions mod and just have an army of customized robots wreak havoc on the commonwealth, you could call it "can you beat fallout 4 as the mechanist" or something
"Can you beat Fallout New Vegas with only the Compliance Regulator?" if that's too much suffering, we'd understand. But, it would fun for a Stealth Build!
really great and fun video, fun fact i also got that weird glitch on pc with all the mods that are suppose to fix bugs, so i guess its a pretty rare bug.
Would you consider doing runs where you play as a companion? ( For example, you play as boon with only Boone weapons and skills. Follow the story how you think he would, etc) I think itd get really interesting. You already did a similar concept playing as Kowalski. I just think this would be a bit more interesting. Especially if you take the companion with you and play as twins.
amazing video, as usual. the beautiful array of bugs i've never even SEEN somehow, the honorable mention for Matthew Perry (RIP) was nice. also the kicking is pretty funny xD
Gotta say: the last few months of slow uploads really made me appreciate your upload dedication, my man. (Also I may have binged all your vids twice since Starfield came out and it's nice adding to the pile.)
This inspired me to try my very first unarmed/melee build in New Vegas and I had no idea that you could just press and hold the attack button and your character just uses heavy attacks, or in this case ranger take down, over and over. I thought you had to keep releasing and pressing the button again. This made being rushed by melee attackers so much more manageable, as I could just slowly walk back wards away from them and hold the attack button, making landing the takedown super easy.
The van graphs quest is okay but the legions and ncr sometimes spawn with riot and hunting shotguns. Which i found is the quicker of getting one early game. Love the vids man, love from a dubliner. 😂
i just finished your metal gear marathon.... so im broke but im gonna get all of them and play them bc of you @nerbit. i love trying your challenges and failing horribly and ive never played a metal gear game and i just gotta now, lmao i cant believe you did it, you mad lad. also ya BEYBLADE LET IT RIP!
I love to see a "Can you beat Fallout: New Vegas with the Gauntlet of Grawr?" Obviously, yes, but the entertainment would come from the adventures in The Divide getting to Grawr.
@Nerbit I try to use a diagonal (down-left or down-right) to pull this technique, as it still counts as down while keeping you closer to the enemy and more likely to hit them. You may need to do a little bit of turning mid animation to stay on target.I hope this helps, and keep on making great content young man.
the ranger takedown was always a "what the fuck." for me because i only play in first person (i love me true iron sights), until I got curious on how it looks in third person save to say i never did it outside of first person ever again
Thank you thank you THANK YOU NERBIT!!!! I posted on one of your other newer videos saying we are really missing our Fallout challenge videos! There are a big group of us that follow your channel just for our fallout fix! Keep on making FO Challenge videos! If you make them, we WILL come😂
Breaking News: Local crazed mailman roundhouse kicks half the mojave while supporting the NCR war effort. And what an epic duel against Lanius. The foot was mighter than the sword this day.
I'm surprised you didn't get the unique zap glove near novac. I found it by accident on my first playthrough and that thing carried me through the whole game.
As a unarmed fanatic in FNV I LOVE the ranger take down, it’s so good. Once you get them on the ground you get a special vats attack “stomp” and it does great damage. Also an easy way to use it in my experience is walk backwards towards the enemy, input a heavy attack and then spin 180.
LETSGOOOOO I've just been playing the new vegas dlcs for the first time and they're great! i've done honest hearts and old world blues and now i'm halfway through dead money, i'm saving lonesome road for last cause i've heard it's the hardest lol
Yep. A lot of good gear and money to make from selling said gear in LR. I'd recommend stopping by the NV med clinic to get some upgrades before you head in or after you make a few caps (there's a video on how to make the best use of the commissary if you want). I think that's probably the best order for them in terms of difficulty.
I like to imagine your unprompted acts of violence against the Khans and Brotherhood were caused by your character remembering some music and spontaneously entering a breakdancing mood
Should have gone with the name Johnny. Seeing as how when given the opportunity to talk to the Kahns, you instead opted to strike first, strike hard, show them no mercy, and gave them a pair of body bags.
Can you beat Fallout 4 with the I’m special challenge? A seven part challenge where you pour most of your skill points into one tree, and can only use skills and weapons associated with that tree. Whether or not you decide to do this, I seriously love you channel and can’t wait to see what you do next. :D
Brilliant idea I just had for a run, Can You Beat Fallout: New Vegas with only Crafted Medicine? Rules are no world-spawned healing items, (Sasparilla, Stimpaks, etc), you can only heal via things you craft like Healing Powder, Purified Water Crafted from Dirty Water, Homebrewed Nuka Cola, etc.
Excellent video, I never realized how strong the Ranger Takedown was and I wonder if the legion assault technique is just as good. Also Can you beat Fallout New Vegas as Little Buster? I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.
