The Boost and Break systems are what creates Octopath's battle system. Boosting massively increases the power of your attacks, while Breaking enemies stuns them for a certain amount of time and makes them take more damage from attacks. On their own, these two systems are simple, but the way they were cleverly put together creates a deep strategy game where you want to reserve your precious Boost Points and then unleash everything on a stunned enemy. In this video however I will be ditching these two mechanics alongside Divine Skills (they require Boosting to use). How much does this change the game? Let's find out...
