note about PW Act 2: if you wait, you can collect another rocket wisp while using your first one. it’s a pretty well known speedrun trick. maybe you could use that?
I'm so glad someone got to this one, I thought of doing this challenge after my lost world one but i stopped after I got stumped in sky sanctuary lol. Nice vid tho
Loving the content! Subbed! However it was a little hard to hear the game dialogue. Maybe consider tinkering with the audio a bit? Looking forward to more challenge content!
Great video, would’ve been cool to see if you could beat some of those classic stages with the homing attack even though you said you weren’t using any upgrades
This video is so interesting to me because I've actually tried this challenge myself in the past, but never fully committed to it. So seeing somebody else make a dedicated attempt to beat every stage in this manner is fun! This said, given how I have some experience with this challenge, I feel the need to mention just how strange Sonic Generations can be when not using the analog stick. Several spots in the collision can affect Sonic's positioning in weird ways; a few of which actually help you progress in non-moving runs! That makes me wonder if - with enough trial and error and getting _really_ lucky while playing - a couple of stages you deemed impossible might actually _be_ possible after all. (I would say you didn't seem all that persistent during the challenge, but that's probably just because I haven't seen all the footage you didn't include!) Perhaps in the future (when I gain access to playing Generations with a controller again, and I have the stuff required to actually record it) I can conduct an even more thorough experiment on this matter, where I do what I do best and find all the ways I can break the game in half; perhaps also seeing how much easier it becomes with the different Skill Sets you can equip. Until then! Glad to see I'm not the only one who's had this idea!
"a couple of stages you deemed impossible might actually be possible after all." *funnily enough* I've beeateen most of the "impossible" stages, with the difference that I used skills and I didn't use the analog/dpad for tricks and homing attacks like this guy did.
I dont know if it would change much put what if you allow yourself to use items. I was thinking for exempel the fire shild for classic sonic or the homic attak would be able to propel him forward there for you dont get stuck at walls and other things as easily. would that make a diffrense? I would like too see that actaully sense then I belive more would be able to get cleared.
You literaly moove when you do thé quick steps. Si thé title IS a bit off. It has to be "Is it possible to beat Sonic génération without using thé control stick" or something like that. But overall thé vidéo is cool this is a good work !
Too bad this game doesn’t have the same kind of volume but as sonic colors were you can jump off of nearly any object. That may have helped during this run.
Sonic generations: forces edition I wad trying to do this myself yesterday, a shame that this doesn't have any views! Will you try it with colors and unleashed?
@@MSCModernSonicChannel unleashed is definitely impossible in total because of the ice levels where you drift on the water, but I think a good amount of levels could be possible. You can activate the drift without holding a direction right? The wii version did it like that so it's not usable there.
6:30 Okay... but what if you manage to land on the planter in front of you? You could quick step off of it since it's at a higher altitude than the ground next to it and continue that way, no?
"Beating Sonic not moving*" - *but just considering a very small subset of what is considered moving... I mean, yeah, to justify this dumb video let's say that moving isn't moving, but just walking** - **actually, even walking is ok, because the character walks a lot during this playthrough...
bro this is so fake. u. skip through like 50% of the hard parts and still cant do most of it. (a lot of the levels u say are impossible are actually very possible, for example, I've done chemical plant act 1 like this myself.) also u did some tricks and also very obviously moved to homing attack on the buzzbots in pw2

what i'm not understand is, Sonic was born to counter Mario, which is a platform mascot, also Sonic is fast, hell fast, very suited to be the opposed of Mario which is very heavy of platform, so why is Sonic also have a lot of platform stage? isn't this very ironic? why we can just blast through any stage with only boost? platforming isn't good combined with speed!
On sky sanctuary act 2, the part where you needed to go left, there was a little bump that you could try to jump on, and quickstep to the left from there.
Why do you seem to think the past tense of "run" is "run?" Did you get hit really hard in the head? I reckon another hit oughta fix that, and I'm willing to help.
