why did kane even pretend to die? He couldve said "haha, i wasnt in the temple after all" the moment GDI ion cannoned it. Then send the nod forces to protect the towers while GDI is confused and scattered.
Fun fact: In the last Australian mission, you can actually upgrade your Avatars. Game does not say so, but you can use their ability _on enemies_ (destroying them in the process).
@@EpslionBear you can also get 2 for 1 on flame tanks have 2 avatars rite next to one and use the ability and both can get a flame turret ( not always a guarantee thou)
Kane's charisma is so infectious. If only taking over the Temple of Nod and recruiting the enemy Nod forces to our side was accompanied by him saying, "Kane LIVES!"
@@perzito1 Actually it's spare no one under Killian's charge so likely only other commanders and advisors, people in their fancy suits governing the war efforts n all that, not the regular units which would be thrilled that Kane lives.
Yeah, if anyone remembers that one cut scene from fun Park, I believe it was from tib dawn where Kane is casually sitting in front of an SR 71 just relaxing while cleaning a Beretta in the middle of the fucking airstrip, God that was just peak fuckin life bro it also shows he’s either rich or charismatic enough to just influence Lockheed Martin casually
Eh while Nod's doctrine relies on hit and run, it's pretty damn clear to me as Nod evolved over time, their military has become more professional to the point you can have direct contact with the enemy in modern warfare. CnC 3 is maybe the only game as Nod with a hard AI where you don't have to rely on any kind of stealth attacks.
@@Seriona1 Exactly like why do your spectres have to have more range than juggernauts and a better epic unit than a literal war machine relying on brute force
This victory will herald the dawn of a GLORIOUS new era where Tiberian Twilight doesn't happen and the fourth Tiberian game isn't a multiplayer-only spinoff repurposed into a series finale! And I owe it all to you, Commander...
As a addendum to the Kane's tower the Juggernauts are modded to have infinite range, while your assessment of it being too innacurate to help deal with GDI attack waves, they CAN absolutely WRECK the GDI bases with impunity from your side of the map, trivializing the ion cannons threat
as far as I know they actually have a range limit. They just cranked the range&vison scale up Need to test this again since it was quite some time ago when I played the Campaign on Vanilla but I do remember it this way :D
I remember this being true which is why I tried to capture them and then I remember they suddenly didn't out of no where. Maybe it was finally patched or maybe under Nod control, they can be glitched.
yep, I mostly use them. You need to inch them a bit forward exposing them to GDI attack waves from secondary base if you wish to snipe the ion cannon though
@@Psyminette Good news: Generals and ZH have a lot of cheese to them that you could use to make your life easier. Bad news: Micro is gonna be hell. P.S You should probably turn off retaliation so your units don't die to stupidity.
To be honest having zero casualties in the Sarajevo mission either with Nod or GDI is a bit silly given that both armies would be horribly evaporated in the most massive explosion in history in just about a few hours past the time of the mission.
Chronologically, Nod's Sarajevo mission happened first. So in this context, after Nod!Psyminette kicked "Killian" armies out, GDI!Psyminette shows up and blow all Nod!Psyminette's progress to oblivion.
@@machaiping you’re right I’m just saying that you can’t save those people regardless of their faction because GDI forces get turned into ash after the mission too
15:42 "I don't know how they knew but GDI shot down the transport carrying our stuff" The transport: *Giant aircraft bearing the same design as all other Nod aircraft while having the Nod insignia on it's fuselage, also GDI knows you'd be flying it out because you literally fought them for an airport in brazil*
Incredible. C&C 3 campaign, and the inevitable Kane's Wrath, were missions which always gave me a hard time. I could not even imagine doing them deathless. But you proved that it is possible.
That’s a crazy strat for the first mission, never would have thought of that. I don’t remember having so much trouble getting the saboteur to the other side of the walls, though. Can’t wait for KW whenever you get to that, though I can already tell you it will be hell.
Sorry to hear your PC kicked the bucket, hope not too much data was lost! Otherwise, yet another excellent video, mate! Looking forward to the Scrin campaign!
In Andrews Airforce Base, you can target the neutral Ox transports with rockets to earn easy veterancy and 1000 credits a piece when you destroy them. Also, you are allowed to build Operations Centers during that mission, which will give you a Black Hand squad when you sell the structure. So you have access to some tanky infantry that way.
@@taupathfinder657 Not sure off-hand, but I seem to recall always getting an MCV when I played it. If you didn't get an MCV, it's possible it may have bugged out or something.
I can't wait to see what the SCRINs' acronym is going to be. Super Caring Race Incapable of Needless sacrifice or something equally unreasonable, I hope.
The fanatics become humanists...through rockets and trickery. (1:20, 16:46) 21:55 Subterranean bases? 30:25 Kane says the thing. Jokes aside, I believe the Saboteur speed is some sort of mechanical leg upgrade.
The mechanical leg upgrade is exclusive to Kane's Wrath, for the cybernetic subfaction. They might have used it for the one mission and then gave it graphics and a place in the tech tree later tho, for sure.
As a kid I only wanted to play GDI, fantasized about being the commander taking the tech to other stories. Now as an Adult I'd join Nod in a heartbeat. One vision, one purpose
@@0lionheart Nod wishes to research and utilize Tiberium for the betterment of humanity whereas the GDI wants to exterminate Tiberium from the face of the planet. If Scrin is willing to travel all the way to earth in pursuit of more of it when their planet probably the origin of it, it’s gotta show that Tiberium has a great hidden potential and that Kane is onto something
@@0lionheart What constitutes “terrorism” to you? My Founding Fathers would be considered “terrorists” by many people today. They were, all of them, righteous, morally upstanding individuals and I’d fight and die by their side in a heartbeat if they were to reappear to wage war in the modern era.
Dude.... just what! I cannot believe you pulled this off this is INSANE. Honestly started watching the video because i wanted to see how you would get passed the first prologue with all the disposable troops. but i stayed to realize how bad I was at the game.
I honestly could never finish the NOD campaign on Hard, I would always fail the Australian mission I think? Where the Scrin show up and you are stealing Nukes? Any tips would be appreciated...it still haunts me to this day.
The mission can be cheesed by waiting for the scrin forces to arrive, they will distract and weaken the GDI convoys. The victory condition is to to escort 1 functional nuke to the exfil. Before the tiberium enjoyer aliens arrive to wreak havoc you should sneak a saboteur or two with some other forces through the bottom of the map to the GDI forces. There you can capture a refinery when the GDI harvester is inside it for income. A barracks for additional engineers & infantry is also there if you want to capture more buildings with the income you have just gained. After that you just have to dodge the GDI and Scrin to the best of your abilities and entrench yourself in the eastern part of the map which also coincidentally is the exfil zone to win
You can play German version of the game, in German version Fanatics do not blow themselves up but dynamite and run away then disappeared, so technically they don’t die but ran away from battle.
Awesome video, you can really see the effort you put in it Are you by chance planning to do Generals, Kane's wrath and (Very long shot here) LOTR BFME2? Tried Generals myself but my micro sucks xD
Speaking of broken missions due to patches, the Australian Mission #12 is one of the weirdest. If you capture the Ion Cannon Control Center in the previous mission, you SOMETIMES start the next mission with it already captured, sometimes you don't though. Also there is supposed to be a bonus objective of helping GDI protect Civillian Troop Transports that was in the game on launch, but has since either been broken by a patch or they removed it.
Imagine spending your entire life dedicated to Nod and becoming an actual official suicide bomber all strapped up and ready to go, and then the new commander decides no losses are allowed
The algorithm came through for me and randomly suggested your Scrin campaign video. I'm hooked now, C&C3 and RA2 are my favourite RTSes of all time and I'm deeply enjoying both your level of skill and the well-balanced mix of serious commentary and jokes. Some channels go way overboard with memes and references, you've got just the right amount to make me laugh without feeling like it's distracting from the gameplay. Really good content mate, keep it up.
I chalked up the long wait for this video to you figuring out how to NOT use the suicide bombers in Nod mission 1 lol but it's good to watch all of the Nod campaign, would love to give this challenge a try myself someday
huh. that's how you did the first mission. that's actually way easier than what i did. you can get the cannon there to actually damage and destroy the walls while it's trying to shoot your enginer.
Little note During Sydney Wall there is a script that makes Scrin airships destroy wall that not only unlock ground path to steal codes but also to ion cannon that you must destroy as 2nd objective. If you capture it before destorying wall you can freely use it. And if you destroy it in next sydney mission GDI will not have ion cannon what makes their defence harder (also making your attack easier) and give you diffrent opcional quest that you can ignore but still its nice to see "consequences" of your action from previous mission
I wonder what the rest of nod would think of a commander that successfully prevented any casualties on his side. To other commanders he'd seem like a master tactician.
damn , what a madlad. he actually did it ! my respect , this must have been a journey and i dont want to know how much time and nerves this deathless campaign and the GDI one took...
I replay these games at least once a year for fun and it is awesome to see these deathless runs totally didnt know about Slovenia AI cheese or leaving 1 unit per convoy on outback looking forward to more
@@TheCuriousFan1 You can mod it back to the previous state, I'm not sure if it reverts everything but the mod I installed reversed the changes to Tiberium income at the very least.
@@LN37275 The most major one that really wrecks the campaign is income being gutted, now a single harvester trip can barely afford you a tank, while before you could buy a tank and like 2-3 basic infantry squads to support it. And campaign is not balanced around this change, you can see portions of it where the game expects you to churn out large armies but now you have half the economy to do it.
pro tip: make 3 barracks and just queue up 50x rocket squads in each and only make anti-infantry defenses. This basically counters everything - on attacks pair some flame tanks with the rocket squads
Red Alert 3 is more forgivable in a sense that you dont have squads, but singular units, so its easier to keep them alive, but on other hand, the game is choke full of instant death attacks against certain units + there are secret protocols that are unit snipers as their core function Though, in campaign, for some reason, the AI seems to use them in just barely few missions.
Great video! Though I'm a bit upset you cheesed Slovenia, but that's probably just because I love defense missions. It's your run, so you choose your own rules.
31:37 "Killian's initial offensive consists of a commando and some flame based troops" _That's incorrect. I do know for a fact that none of Killian's troops are based._
I would have LOVED a sequel where portals open, Kane and Co. move through and find themselfes on alien worlds. They try to adapt, combine technology, at some point find that GDI did the same and its all going totally off the HOOKS. Make it some mad, high sci-fi and run with it.
dont worry if you have irl stuff going on we will patiently wait :))) awsome content by the way and sick strategies i have over 300h for sure in this game and you just taught me some new stuff like this part 25:00!!
Also fun fact: 18:21 - I found a weird bug here in my last playthrough of the game, instead of arriving from the East and attacking like they usually do, the scripted Juggernaut attackers arrived from the east, then disappeared and never came near my base. Turns out they were camping the road at the top of the map and nearly killed the truck
I had a similar event as well. However in my playthrough, there was one juggernaut, with heroic status, did come through the east once I select the truck to the objective area.
Could you try to do Red Alert 2 mod Mental Omega campaigns? it may be incredibly challenging and could also be super interesting it adds an entire faction too
I tried this myself, didn't think it was possible. You mad lad you proved me it is possible. Amazing. (I could only not lose a unit, as in, preserving most of my units, most, but for infantry? I found it difficult to have them survive, for the most part... one of them may die, especially when I pull off multiple offensives at the same time, making it difficult to micro-manage multiple fronts)
Either we all ascend with Kane or none of us will. I'm sure the Prophet himself would endorse that idea, as he never had ill will of his followers unless he was betrayed.
