Always take some kind of electric tape and try to block as much holes as possible in the hotel rooms and never trust the smoke detecting machine and if possible block it with some kind of tape. Open the shower head first before use and if there are items in the room, try to put it in a drawer of just turn it in the other direction. Check the rooms thoroughly and if there is some kind if odd wires that lead to nowhere then disconnect it. As for mirrors, use the flashlight technique or finger technique (place your finger in the mirror. If there is very little to no gap between your finger and the reflection finger then the mirror is ok but if there is a noticeable gap then it’s a one way mirror).
Good pointers my Bruddah- except for the last one. If you suspect a possible 2-way mirror then the opposite is true- in other words after you’ve placed your pointed object directly onto the mirror’s surface- a normal everyday or what I call “The Truth Hurts” 😂 type of mirror, there usually is a decent sized gap of around 1/8 of an inch or more, and that is what you’ll want to see….it’s when your pointed object and it’s reflection seem to be touching tip to tip with NO GAP between them that is cause for concern and you should then start doing a couple of other tests as even that way isn’t 100% guaranteed. Go right up to the mirror preferably with lights out, cup your hands around your eyes and look for signs of light and/or movement, especially if the mirror looks to be imbedded with or part of the wall itself.
Just pull the wifi and call it a night. No chance these days that an AirBNB wired their secret cameras up. If there's a note that says "dont pull the wifi", do it anyway.
@@Someone-ig7we There's too much of everything today. Too many people owning too much stuff, then buying cameras and other gadgets to guard it, then buying gadgets to find these cameras. Too much information also. It is insane.
If you use your cellphone on video mode and with the flash on you will see a light that isn't detected by the human eye if you find a camera but you have to pretty much know where to look cause it's faint. Try it out on your laptop or someone elses cell phone.
I just bought a custom built, new construction home in a rural area; we are the first occupants. The guy who built it was kind of adversarial throughout the purchase process. If the house has no existing internet connection and is in a rural area, is it likely that it has a hidden camera or listening device? I hate to waste time on a fool's errand but have become a bit paranoid in the last few years!
Aishe instrument hai jo micro cemra yaa spy cemra yaa hidden cemara ke light ko reflect kar sake yaa light ko dhudhla kar sake ager available hai toh jarur batye please please
there is a potential of low frequency bluetooth devices to communicate with each other even when no internet is available and the devices arent close. this is a protocol not usually used in most bluetooth consumer devices, as its only lately been being used alot for virus related contact tracing. check out the channel: Rob Braxman Tech . he made a video titled "Hey Bluetooth, What's New?" all about this.
Turn all the lights out at night and get a flashlight light will show the camera light will bounce off the lenses of the camera.. Make sure the room is dark no other light but the flashlight
@@michellenine9486 my stepdaughter swore the same to me, by the time I cud check it out, she moved out. She did receive a couple notices of smoking in her appartment, just a couple hits off a cig n put it out quick. No other apartment wud nark n u can't smell that little smoke..How wud they know??
@Dario DeNiro my friend was being tracked by someone and the person put devices in my friends house, hacked a security system to the house got access to outside security cameras had missing frames etc etc.. Call a friend of mine that is a PI asked what to do was given great advice.. This was not about a husband or a wife checking on each other it was about a very good friends life in danger and the person who gave me great advice on what to do to find things helped more than what you can imagine. But yes if any cameras are in a place where you might be sleeping, changing close or taking showers all you have to do is make sure room is dark and take a flashlight look for light to bounce on the lenses trust me you'll know when it does.. No one was worried about anyone cheating lmao😄😄 good one👍was a good laugh thank you
I have the same RF detector and after a while, the antenna fell off too, and it took me 5 minutes to open it up and solder it back on. I'd take that over spending way more on an equally effective model
Very interesting topic to cover. thank you for the video! This is my first exposure to Security Bros. I feel the experiment was missing some elements. I would have liked to learn what the app was detecting, if anything, and how. Also, a third more expensive device being tested would have helped me better understand whether just this product or the whole category is likely worth investment.
Really? App comes up with wireless detection as well as IR detection. The one used in this video only covers magnetometer scanning which is not only limited by device magnetometer capability but also it is useful in certain circumstances.
Can you please do more test videos to show what a normal result would be like for emf detector devices and emf detector apps with power outlets that are both normal and spy so the average person can determine what's a normal emf result vs suspicious. Also, how to inspect the devices further if it does test positive. How to open smoke detector, how to verify the outlet that's hitting positive can be inspected further beyond a positive result. Possible dismantle or removal of any of these devices. Thanks
I have a detailed question: I'm getting this low frequency, high hizzing sound throughout my house. Note: "I have been followed for some time lately. I'm being extremely cool about it; although what I assumed to be an investigation has turned into a plot." I've noticed if I'm talking inside or listening to something, this sounds gets louder. I have used voice memo to verify I'm not losing my noddle's. Plus I've sampled a few sound decibel meters app. Now... Is this an indication that my home is wired and could outlets be a way for someone to chime in on my privacy? Thanks in advance.
I have this same high pitched sound emanating very loudly through my apartment too. I suspect it's an amtenna or copper interference of some sort. I have already and cable internet tech confirmed as well there is indeed a rogue wifi signal solely coming from within my apartment. That's why I have been trying to find the source of the rogue wifi access point in my 3 story townhouse apartment (2 wifi signals with the same name but different frequency and device ID). I am unable to check my apt atroce crawl space because it's sealed however there is a clearly painted over rectangular area that was made in the ceiling attic crawl space panel where someone cut an opening to bypass removing the entire panel. Handprints are clearly along the wall near it as well
@@se7enscales650 In your situation, I'd be doing a bunch of research. If you still can't find a simple solution self sweeping or with professionals, I wonder if you should engage an electrician to verify if the sound is from excess electricity 🤔
So when you find a hidden camera, other than cover it up.....do you report the hotel??? It is illegal to do, RIGHT? Should the hotel be held accountable??

I could have used this tool some time way back year 2009 in Seattle. I just found it really weird when I would go visit my female friend like 5 days a week. Everything was normal when I just visit her. But there was 1 day that I took a 5-8 minute shower, and like the next day the apartment manager was asking her if someone else was living in the apartment because there was a lot of water usage.... so maybe couple weeks later or something, I take a quick shower like less than 5 minutes. Then the next day, the apartment manager asking the same thing if someone is living with her.... and so I only took a shower at my place across town but still visit her like 5 days a week. And I don't know maybe a month or something later then I took a quick shower at her apartment, and again the apartment manager started asking the same things. And then when I started to think about how odd it is that the apartment manager would only ask her after I had took a shower at her place.... she was already moving out so I didn't get to bring it up when she was actually living there.
Tyee Cambrón ........ if the manager had excess to her apt with a KEY.... you better let her know. Possibility cam could've been placed some where. I.e. Smoke detector, wall socket, etc. Usually, buildings mgr's have no way of knowing how much water is being used. Also... could be a cam in the hallway in the light fixture, exit sign, curvature corner mirror.
Correct me if im wrong, but the first device is only checking for the signal if I got that right. If that's the case, its also detecting routers/repeaters, FireTv Sticks, SmartHome Devices and every other IoT device which is connected to any Wifi. How many people wrongly accused some AirBnB host of recording their guests? ... Better first have a second look before trusting some device
All you need is your camera on your phone. Just turn off all the lights and turn your camera on but turn off the flash and then look around the room and the camera will pick up any little red light that your eyes can't see but the camera can see and it will pick up any camera devices
All this talk thinking reminds me so much of the times of my childhood. I was growing up in Estonia, under Russian Ocupation in 70-80s. And what!?... my parents were not crazy! This s.... happens. All the time.
I am not into these type of spy gadgets, but just interested in how things work. So if you go into a hotel and they dont use WIfI with spy cameras, they wont be detected, is that true? Do the more expensive detectors do more? thanks for the video.
@@brandonbryant2818 There are just the turn on spy camera and let it do continuous record. Most of those will record 1-2 hours based on battery size. Battery runs low, saves videos and turns off. They wouldnt be ideal to use for long periods of recording cause of the short record times. I use them around the house to capture sone everyday activities rather than pulling out my dedicated good camera all the time. Also for some meetings.
@@brandonbryant2818 WIFI type cameras might be able to setup to the cloud, most the time WIFI cameras are just tied to a mobile device or computer for monitoring and recording. The continuous non WIFI camera recorders I talk about are just stored to an SD card on the device itself. I then get the video content via USB ports on the computer.
All in all yes if they don't use wifi chances are itll be harder to find. Cameras with IR will be easier to find since they emit a light that can be seen with other cameras however if its a camera with no wireless connection or no IR light its extremely difficult to find. Just have to hope that camera doesnt suit the person who puts them there since the bane of those small cameras is low light
I dont understand how those camera would last for a long time like on hotels if someone stayed there for like a day, thise camera wont last that long right?
My mother in law is trying to get out of a very bad relationship. Her soon to be ex has installed spying software on her cell phone, on her computer and theres been things said that makes her believe there are hidden cameras or audio spy devices in her home. Right now she is playing like she doesnt know about them as she is trying to safely find a way out of the relationship!!! But once that happens, what does everyone recommend to find wired and wireless cameras? Also, is there anything that will find microphones? Thanks to all that can offer some help!!!
that was exactly in my mind an excellent app in phones have to be built in when almost entire world carries their phones with them... it is same thought process of what utilitarian consumer safety products or inclusions have to be built in gadgets we carry with us all the time, instead of useless crowding with so many features not even used, and one of them is camera or other hidden survailliance devices to detect, normal public's life should not be disturbed in their own privacy
It seems that my phone knows when it's recording a TV or another device recording a device over a device it seems that the phone itself camera recognizes the stuff but I have no access to it but it seems like platform owners in the background have access to the camera on your phone and can tell if your recording a TV show on a TV
I think that the test if flawed as I am noticing that you're using the regular camera on the iPhone which is advanced and set up to filter and hide the infrared whereas if you use the front facing camera only then that will not hide the infrared light.
When you first started using the device I could tell your thumb was on the potentiometers adjustment wheel. And that your thumb was ever so slightly moving the wheel causing the device to change tones...busted
Can you do this same test with emf detector devices and apps and show what normal devices outlets, light switches, etc results are versus what spy device emf results are when tested with emf detector and apps so we know what is normal and what is not?
My ex husband is stalking me with some kind of devices everyplace I'm at I can hear him talking places he hasn't even been inside of the hallways in my apartment complex my car my kids car mainly by air vents can you help with this
In the last year i have noticed many new holes all over my cielings all rooms about 2 mm in size , i fill them in and try to ignore the problem , last night i could here someone crawling around in the craw space , today i look up and see about 10 new holes , i call my landlord she says why would anyone be up there poking holes ? I call the cops they look and say those holes are too small for a spy camera and then ask me what my meds i am on ... wtf ... cant move till summer so i will just keep filling the holes .. what can i do .. buy a detector and hope it works is my only option .. can anyone help ..
these camera detectors are the definition of something "kinda" working. the RF detection works, but you would have to be within reach of the camera - and it would be full of false positives from other wi-fi devices such as access points and computers. the glass and LED trick to show camera glare is clever and exposes the hidden camera on the charger, but again, you'd have to be suspicious of the device already to really notice. all in all, I'm getting worried about these devices being marketed by dropshippers again all of a sudden. expect some people to misunderstand how these work and start accusing landlords of having a camera when they're really detecting a router or something.
So I need help!!!! My neighbors upstairs have been spying on me with a camera for over 8 months. They follow me inside my apartment all day/night and outside my apartment. They are sick in their heads. They are in there 20’s, I can’t figure out why they are wasting there time on me! We do live in a small town but still. This has gotten what out of hand. The police won’t listen to me, no one will. How can I prove they are doing what they are doing. I need HELP!!!
