As someone else who's been through multiple break ups, always initiated by the other person, I can tell you each time they come back there is less respect there. You'd be best to move on and find someone who is certain about being with you. There's a saying"don't let anyone tell you more than once that you're not good enough". But I'm not the expert here!!!

There is a video called A Difficult Announcement or something like that, which tells the story. Basically she suddenly got sick and went to the hospital but they couldn't save her. Very sad.

Just treat her like a friend don't pry or push and keep the conversation short remember it's your birthday you have things to do places to go and other people to talk too don't seek closure I wouldn't discuss anything that has to do with the relationship or it ending or your feelings just treat her like a person you know very little if there is long pauses or dead air ie silence end the conversation politely you know "thanks for the call and the birthday wishes and all hit me up again sometime for conversation" Do not express your feelings and desires.
