Ive been doing good for a couple weeks, but past couple days just got hit with this sadness and anxiety. I know i need to continue to do no contact and focus on personal growth. Ive been feeling like reaching out but i know i cant because it won't change anything, she has to want us. Listening to you guys talking about all of this really putting me back on my A game. I totally feel you. I feel the same way. :( I have good days and bad days. In my case I have been kinda pushing him and not respecting his need for space. Its been a month since we broke up. I broke NC last week after 3 weeks of not talking to him. And he left me on read. I think I need to give him the break up and stop chasing like this. I didn't beg or plead, bt he didn't respond to a casual text I sent. So maybe he's still in the relief stage and doesn't want to talk. He's actually a really nice guy. But he's an avoidant so he got overwhelmed and left the relationship. :( In our country the pandemic is still a bit active and there are restrictions and we all work from home mostly. So I doubt he'll move on too quickly becauze he's not necessarily meeting new ppl. However I don't think he'll reach out first. He's too stubborn! I want him back. :( Some coaches say that after 2 or 3 months of NC you really don't have anything to lose and you may contact your ex to see because it's possible they aren't sure what to say or they feel guilty or unsure about reaching out. Do you think I should reach out to him after 2 or 3 mths NC? What's your strategy? NC indefinitely?

I feel you i really do and it sucks. You give it time and think thats enough but remember this. If they really want to fix it and make it right,he will contact you. Stay strong and try not to break no contact. Its been 2 weeks since i talked to her and last thing she said to me. Was i need to find someone else that other than her that makes me happy. @@vanitysmurf5145 my strategy for no contact is just keeping busy and really focusing on my personal issues. Focusing on understanding my self worth and that i dont need that person, i want them. But i spent to much time and gave to much effort, and didnt receive the same back. I thought if i could show her i changed she can change to. But i was wrong. I put my all into my relationship even seeing red flags. I still continue to let her treat me bad and make me feel worthless. I begged for her so many times to come back and just try to work on us. She continued to ignore me and just not respond until she did, with an answer i was not ready for. I stumbled across this RU-vid channel and really got to understand how nc is and see if it can help. Im trying to keep busy and focus twords personal growth. Ive made a routine for myself . Work gym, and finding a carrier in the marines. Its been hard to not text her snd tell her how much i miss her and our relationship. But one thing we need to remember is when we do texted them , do you really believe you will get a different outcome. Saldly i tried so many times to get her i just had to stop. Because i knew nothing would change . I never gave her that feeling of losing me, she doesn't know what it feels like. It's been 15 years since I last seen my ex in person. I did no contact and recently out of curiosity went on social media and see she's married and has a son. She looks like she's happily married. So I felt this flood of pain come over me like the day we ended 15 years ago. I shut down and didn't let anyone else in because of fear of being hurt again. On point. I am doing NC for almost 2 months and sometimes I feel the anxiety kicks in because sometimes I feel doubt about the process. My ex won't believe it's worth coming back after leaving. I didn't realise he had been pulling away for months if not a few years due to my lack of intimacy and constant picking fights with him. So, the no contact and ex coming back I think only works if they've left you suddenly and over something emotional as oppose to a logical decision based over months of believing more and more we just don't work

I pushed when I thought she was pulling away, when I finally realised what I should do no contact it was too later, she had moved on! So much for all that bond we had. She lied to my face, I no longer want her back. Just get over it! I couldn't take her back now she's moved on!

I’m really confused as my ex never raised any complaints about me.. we never really argued and if we did it would just be a few words and then we’d make up. Never any abuse on either end. How am I supposed to know what I was doing wrong if he never told me. It takes communication and he wasn’t willing to communicate his needs to me. Whenever I would ask if he was okay he would say ‘I’m fine’ he’s an avoidant so I’m guessing it all just got too real for him after a year together. I was doing everything right. I was in no contact and my ex started contacting me again. Do you really think someone who will lie to you, then get mad when you lie to them is an emotionally smart path to take? Meh. She will figure it out in time and realize she judged by double standards and I’m sure she is only temporarily mad. On the bright side, when she unblocks you (she likely will at some point) you will know she’s not over you or she wouldn’t care enough to unblock 🙃

Gabi, nobody knows if there is hope but the only way to try, is letting him feel that you are not longer chasing. If you make the decision you will see the world completely different and you will focus on you. I end a 6 years relationship, but before that, we were best friends in college, so as you can imagine, we have the same groups of friends and we like the same places. And when he walked away with somebody new, I decided not to give him a single minute more of my life and attention and I completely disappear from the map, we are worthy enough to beg and plead. I don’t know if he will regret his decision one day, but I don’t care anymore. Today it’s month 6 since we split up and I feel happier I worked a lot to make a better life for myself. i have somehow a particular situation and i'll try to keep it short. My gf broke up with me due to her depression and anxienty she's facing. Her life is VERY full right now and she's not yet over her last 5 year realtionship which ended 8 month's ago. Let me ask this…My ex-wife and I have been apart for 20 years. We stayed friends mostly even after she got remarried and had other children. Recently we’ve been spending a lot of time together, she’s been separated from her husband for several years but they’re still not divorced. We’ve even spent the night together 3-4 times (no sex). I’ve told her that I still love her and want her in a romantic way. She says she’s just “not there yet”, but enjoys hanging out with me. She said maybe if we keep doing that we might be able to get there. She still hasn’t let me kiss her, only on the cheek and hugs, which is frustrating as hell. Is this a useless waste of time or because of the situation of being married before and 20 years it will just take time? I’m struggling to understand and if I should cut it off. Hey Craig, my ex reached out 3 weeks into no contact to say sorry and she’s praying about my aunt who is in the hospital. And she said “I am still here for you.” She didn’t have to do that, is there any underlying meaning or is she just being friendly? Or would an avoidant use that as an opportunity to reach out? We had a nice short conversation and I ended it well (not carrying it). She also said she would come get her things the day she broke up with me, but still hasn’t. Good signs?
@@tutudebbie6310 I don’t know about your first question, whether reaching out about your aunt is a good sign, but I would think it is. The second question about not picking up her things I wonder about myself. My ex broke up with me one month ago. She has reached out a couple of times via texting asking how I was and I politely responded. No real conversation. She still has tons of clothes and housewares at my house. She even has her golf clubs still here. She hasn’t asked about any of this. A week ago she stopped by my house to pick up some repair parts that I had ordered before the break-up. Again, she didn’t ask about any of her stuff. I don’t know what to make of this. My guess is that leaving belongings at your house is a way of not finalizing the break up and, therefore, is a good sign.

After 50 days of NC he reached out telling me that “he wants me back and wants to talk” so when I finally replied than he began questioning my loyalty, ugh I saw no point as to why he came back with that bs after he broke up with me. The good thing that came out of our relationship is that I realized my issues and I am doing something about it.
