There was a kid in my class who would play high frequency sounds in class to annoy everyone. The teachers never did anything because they couldn't hear it
There was this Java app back in 2008, called Fanta Stealth Sound System, which used high frequency sounds for kids to communicate without adults hearing them, as after turning 20, most of the people stop hearing higher frequencies. Interesting concept!
I did this with my dog next to me and I saw her react every time it switched, even after I couldn’t hear anymore. I know dogs can hear way better that humans but it’s still kinda trippy
i was at abt 12k w my headphone’s sound half way up, when i put it all the way up i could hear until 20k (past 12k the ringing wasn’t as painful as you’d think, maybe even quieter)
From 13000 to 20000 I heard sonething like when the cable of your television does not work Edit:Wow this is the comentary that has more likes in my life
The last one i could hear was 12000 then it suddenly stopped Edit: dang, i honestly didnt know this comment would at all be important Lol😂 thanks for the likes and the replies
RU-vid limits higher frequencies, so nobody can actually hear above that. And if someone claims they can, they’re lying. It’s RU-vid, nothing high tech should be expected 😂
Interdimensional beings : He can hear over 13000. Multidimensional beings: WTF is this, its over 420,000,000,000 hz. Body snatchers: WTF!? *head explodes like in Mars Attacks'' Movie.
Me too. I can heard them all. It's funny I have HORRIBLE eye sight for someone in their 30s, but the worse my eyes get, the better my hearing gets. I have always been very sensitive to noise. But yeah I can hear a car from a couple blocks away coming up hill by my house before it gets there- I can hear the engine. I'm also a singer, so Idk if that has improved my hearing. It's a bit freaky and annoying being able to hear everything so much louder than everyone!
To everyone out there saying what your max is, it's wrong if it isn't at or slightly under 20,000. That's is the standard range of hearing for humans, the reason you cant hear the higher tones is that the device, or speakers that are playing the sound are not physically capable of emitting above a certain point, so it ends up sounding like silence
Not sure this is correct. From hypertextbook.com/facts/2003/ChrisDAmbrose.shtml: "The highest frequency that a normal middle-aged adult can hear is only 12-14 kilohertz."
@@apache6460 Yes but you can see why it would be misleading to say the reason you can't hear is because of the device or speakers. It could be that or age. Not everyone can hear up to 20K, which is what @Eaglespire15 said. They did not allow for the possibility of age and blamed everything on equipment.
Yeah he says turn your speakers up and then louder and i just knew that there would be jumpscare so i turned down the speakers and checked if there is actually xD
Well, I could only hear up to 12000 when my volume was low, but I could hear all of them when my volume was at 100, and I was wearing headphones. My head is killing my right now...
It is impossible to hear above 12000 H because the audio is cut off at 12.85 kHz, which is due to the compression of RU-vid from 2008. The sounds that can be heard after exceeding 12000 H are only distortions after compression
