I have hijacked a 600i. I didn't have the elevator problem. It is probably normal Star Citizen glitchiness. You can also clip into the elevator to get inside for cargo. You just move fast at the circular hatch. It can take a few tries to pop into the elevator and escape it to the lower deck. There is no point to attacking any NPC other than the pilot. They will not attack, and can man turrets. They are like an AI blade. I managed to use the cargo elevator, stacking cargo, jumping on the cargo, and lifting the elevator to clip into the upper deck. I got stuck in the ship's upper deck, but I was able to enter a chair to get unstuck. You can also clip cargo through thr big window on thr upper deck instead of dragging it through thr ship. I have found scans to be 100% reliable on cargo if you can see a passenger list. You also seem to get prison time per passenger. It can take many scans to get passengers, but the closer your ship is to the other ship the better. Your punch them instead of shoot them is brilliant. You only get a crime stat 1 instead of 3 or higher. It also means you don't need to bring a gun.

Btw using melee on a gun still causes homicide.

If you have a vulture you can then salvage it and store the the goods drirectly to your hanger so not a total loss i dont think you can do that with a reclaimer though would be to big
