I remembered that last tip!! Here it is: have a designated set of "garden" shoes. Store them outside in a bin. And when you come inside, immediately change your clothes (and maybe shower, if it was a ton of work!). Getting those allergens away from your body will significantly reduce your reaction.
Glad I found this video. I have started making videos in the hopes of it finding some asthmatic people. Good job you. I would guess that maybe you are sensitive to the sun?? I am allergic to the sun and heat and it also triggers my asthma. I have to wear a N95 mask to go outside and inside if I dust or cook. Don't forget the off-gassing from cooking. Just before I found your video, I saw a recommendation for asthmatics to have a steam in their face. Horrible trigger for me. Taking a shower is difficult for me because of the steam-it causes asthma. I'm older than you, but I have limited energy from my allergies, asthma and vocal cord issue. Amazingly I am not allergic to animal dander. I have pet rabbits since I am suburban and can't have animals, but I no longer use shavings for them. I use that white bedding from Kroger. Less dust and easier on my lungs. I too do the leave shoes at front door, indoor shoes and clothing plus I wipe off my face, hair and change clothes after gardening. Ask the kids to also. I am aware of what is on my pillows, the furniture etc. At work, my boss seems to mostly understand what a bad trigger perfumes and colognes are for me/all scented products and vacuums! She allows 1 air cleaner at my desk and it just helps for the bad perfume events; I turn it up on high to ease the bad smell away from me. The scary thing is, I look like a person and yet I am a person with all these sensitivities. Growing up I was fine, but moved west and when I went back home to the east, I developed all these horrible allergies and asthma in my late 40s. Allergy shots are a life saver. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad I'm not alone. I usually feel I'm the only one. LOL. Take care, Fran
