@@alexpinson7907 exept for the fact you cant evenly stuff carbon under that dowel so no i can guarantee there is a air pocket inside it should have made a solid shift knob and then cut out the top for the inlay of the shift pattern the whole dowel through it is stupid as well why put a filler in that isnt even heavy like most people dont want a shift knob thats as light as air like this whole video is just a waste

@@CHILLGAMINGBEATZ If you watch the video, the mold is filled *before* the core is inserted. This is the way it's done so that the core pushes the carbon out of the way and you don't get a large gap from trying to fill the mold after the fact. When filling these, you use more resin than you actually need based on the calculation so that the pressure of assembling the mold forces it into any air holes and the excess bleeds out of the mold. The plastic used also has a near-identical density to forged carbon, so weight would be the same either way. You need a core, whether it's permanent like mine or a part of the mold that's removable, so that there's a hole for the shift lever regardless. If you don't like it don't make one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
