When the girl started the recording with, "This is Daniel. He's the best android in the world. Say hello, Daniel!" I made an audible noise of despair because oh no, this is gonna be one of those things, isn't it? This is gonna hurt.

Oh Connor... savior of fishies and little girls. :3 I also find it interesting that - because he's an Android - he's got that deadpan, unphased expression pretty much the entire mission, UNTIL he gets outside and tries to talk Daniel down. He doesn't even react in any way when he takes a BULLET in the arm. Like the only time he expresses any emotion is to... well, fool someone. :/ Pretty disturbing, but also pretty cool.

The voice, and the way Connor expresses himself is just so interesting...and cute.

The best part of watching people play Detroit is the first time Connor analyzes something. The reaction is either "Cool, he can test evidence by licking it" or "EW DON'T PUT THAT IN YOUR MOUTH." There is no in between.

Daniel's death actually made me really sad. His AI had evolved into such a realistic version and he looked so human that I guess it just seemed SO realistic to me. :C

Hmm. That other android acted just like a human would, he was even being fooled easily by the player. Since it's implied that it's an error in his software, I kinda assume this game will be about androids becoming too human-like?

The thing about robots people fear is that they will always make perfect decisions. The issue with AI is that it is no longer robot as emotion and conscious involve error and when they acquire these abilities of self consciousness they will lose the perfection of being a robot or computer in turn making them more like humans. That is what this game covers, you have a robot who is not effected by emotion as he seems to have been influenced by people vs. a robot full of emotion and questioning his role in life. It all revolves on how they are influenced by humans and how we treat them. The more we treat them like humans the more human they become.

In retrospect, the lines about him being an android and not having blood or a heart and him being an android vampire are SO giggle-worthy.

Jack, I watched that old QuanticDream trailer of Kara years ago and was stoked for this game already but you doing the demo here really drove me to get my own copy as soon as I could and for that- since I finished a playthrough of 1 style of choices in a day yesterday- I say thx~ this game is beyond amazing in its graphics, the way your choices shape the game, everything!

Man, Am I the only one who felt bad for Daniel and wished he wouldn't die? Because to me, the moment robots start feeling and start thinking for themselves is the moment when they should be validated as people too. Or maybe that's just my foolish naivety talking.

When saving the life of a little girl involve traumatizing her with you knocking a guy off a building and her seeing your dead corpse.... Well at least she is alive lol 😅

Why did I notice this until after I watched the whole let’s play

Downloaded the demo last month but only had time today to play it (and happen to be on the day the full version was officially released). On my first run, I got the same ending where Conner sacrifices himself to save Emma. When the word “Mission Successful” appeared on the screen, it then hit me that game is gonna rock!
