If you're amazed by the bunnyhops. there is a thing called trickjump servers. there are hundreds of maps made by people where you would either jump across platforms and you will reach insane speeds. and there are trickjumps where you can jump and land in specific spots to basically fly across the map. i used to spend hours on it but it was super difficult

The sad part is that (almost) every server is crowded with bot players and not real people. I used to play this game a lot many years ago, especially on the NoQuarter servers that had that mod enabled; more weapons, more skills, more ranks.

The rifle grenades were so sick and land mines were naughty good old times best shooter ever used to play this and source all the time

I played this a few years ago and got hooked for quite a while. I just found it enjoyable and most importantly, it was free and just overall a hassle free experience. With mods, it makes for even greater gameplay. There are some mods that were just straight up humour and those were really nice to see.

What a game and what a personal and amazing story behind it in my life ...

Its crazy to think that just a year later Half life 2 would come out. The leap in graphical quality is insane.

The framerate issue is related to new GPUs. You can open the console and run /r_primitives 2 and you should be more than fine :)

u ever got to play on the lord of the rings and toy story inspired maps ? they where so rare to find but so much fun, in my teens i played this game alot and i never fully understood how to actually win on them maps hehe

I truly loved this game as a kid. I just found out it was on Xbox for beta testing at some point but it's long gone now. If it was surly this should be returning!? I don't have a Windows PC and sadly it can't run on my M2 MacBook as not up to date with the system so won't run. I'd love it on anything I own but as for now seems to real way.

Back in the day I knew all the map bug spots to stand on , for example climb as up as possible on map model lol.

i started playing this game since i was 16 years old, now i have 30 and im still playing this game on NoQ on Fearless Assassins clan servers.

This game was the best. Kills were nice but it was really about the objective and if you had a team of all the classes working together you would succeed. I would switch to what my team needed and do whatever I could do to win, kills were not relevant. That said I think I cracked 90 kills a number of times, 2 with MG42, the rest medic. With the MG42 and a field ops supplying me with ammo I had the devils paintbrush and could deny an area. It was really 2 lanes on one map, otherwise you are a useless teammate choosing that gun. The other is the rambo medic. At max level you get an adrenaline shot ability that gives you damage reduction so i could sprint into groups and kill them all. I mastered switching to my dual pistols at 29 rounds spent so it wouldn't start a reload and I had 2 more mags to empty. Plus you can give yourself med packs in downtime so you are always at full hp. Enemy Territory rules!

Between just this and Diablo 2 (+ LOD expansion) I think about nearly a decade of my life vanished 😂. Hands down the best multiplayer FPS ever made for me (cod, fortnite, medal of honor, battlefield, etc.. areall bitter disappointments in its wake). Used to love even just the OG map cycles on this game - everything about it was just special in every way. I can still remember all the time exchanging scripts and inline console commands getting the setup (FOV, max-frames and whatnot) all 'just so' for that perfect experience, of course all different for different mods (i used to be quite partial to jaymod). Splatterladder auto/implicit rankings was well ahead of its time aswell. Modern FPS games owe a lot to the OGs of the genre like this - giants and shoulders come to mind. Shout-out to FA (fearless assassins) who i used to be enlisted in (many) days gone by.

Skies off, lowest graphs, no blood on screen and you can run this game 125 fps on any pc/laptop. Green dot, no cruisor reaction. Best times i have ever had in a game. 2004-2016. I hope this game never dies.

I used to play in loby's full of other players and 0 bots, how far this game has fallen. I would love to see a resurgance.

As a super fan of this game: you need to use the voice lines - first of all it makes you enjoy the game even more + you can call a engineer to repair a tank, wall, door etc. Also you can call a medic to drop some medicine for you to heal yourself. Believe me once your in the realm - you will fkn love this game :D. All i can say - WUNDERBAR!!! Also checkout etlegacy and get their version since they updated all the stuff you would need for it to run really smooth on newer computers :))

U should use ET Legacy. And theres a great EU server called TeamMuppet that gets lots of players during EU evenings. I think theres couple NA serverst too that have some players.
