There are 1000s of us who use bikes as everyday transport all year. When it's cold you put on more layers. And I bet the seat is more comfortable than most sports bikes. If you love it, the pros out-weigh the cons.

I use a sport bike every day, and I have a Seven too. What is more practical between them, believe me, is really debatable. However, both are immensely better than to walk for dozens of miles, or use socialist forms of transportation. So, can you daily drive a Seven? Yes, if you want it badly enough.

Load of bollocks. I used a Caterham 7 for about a decade as my daily drive. All seasons and I hardly used the hood as it was far too claustrophobic. About fifty miles round trip including a bit of the M1. Visceral every day. Do you really want to commute in a Toyota Yaris; or do you want to live?

I drove a 2 seater convertible for a few years... the EPIC FUN made up for the cold wind and harder suspension 90% of the time!

I don't mind the Catarham hood, its a bit of a pain getting in and out, but once it's on its so snug and cozy inside.

Yes, you can use it every day. Providing it's warm and dry. Which is one day a year. You can drive it all day, every day, for one day.

I did. 60 km/h and light rain never was problem. Cozy warm feet and a good leather-jacket. Thats been all it took.

People use bikes and sport-bikes as dailies, a Caterham is a looooooot more comfortable (it has a windshield, a small trunk, 2 car seats, heater and etc) and a lot more user friendly (you cant falloff from Seven ;) )

Caterhams have adjustable suspension. So since this is particular model is a grand tourer, it should have sort of soft suspension setting. Or maybe if it had adjustable electronic dampers and atleast a simple glovebox (C'mon Caterham please give a glovebox) it will be useable everyday.

In 1970/71 my self built Lotus 7 was my company car, London to Tilbury every day and runs to Glasgow, Milford Haven, Portsmouth, at least once a week. Best job in the world. Rain ? Drive faster. Cold ? Drive faster. Heavy traffic ? Take anothe road and Drive faster.

I've wondered how comfortable and practical a track day car would feel compared to a sports bike for day to day use. But searches just turn up lap time battles and the like. I may be getting too old for two wheels. :-(

Most reviewers find lots to shite on . Yet they find any excuse to do more than one review of it . Same guys over and over and over and over Still seem to get behind the wheel. So I guess they should just shut their gup ...and face it they love driving it .

If your under 27 yes....after that you just RATHER not. If its the only car you have ...well YOU HAVE to, and OWN IT!!! THIS GUY IS A WORLD CLASS DRIVER....He doesnt need to rough it. So not a true evaluation. To bad they are out of the average 27 and under pay scale.....so a Locost is a much better way to go!

Funny because it looks like it would fit perfectly at a 45' angle between the headrests and roll bar. I have never owned one so what do I know about hauling large pizzas home on my Triumph Bonneville motorcycle seat.

I use a CSR260 all the time , turn the heater off ,,elbows not a problem unless your warped , little storage area in front of gear leaver , and aftermarket ones available,, Enjoy the Only quality car like this in the World , Stop F-----ing Moaning......d h..
