Can you work in a call center with a bad English? In this video, you'll find out what level of English you should at least be in to pass your call center job interview and land your job offer.
thank you i really appreciated ur video it makes me create a lot of more easier learnings in english i have already saw ur video and ive got ur point godbless 😊😊
I was really having a hard time before I joined the BPO industry back then. I was rejected a couple of times. 🤣 That's because l had a very bad accent and grammar. Luckily, I am now working as a CSR for morethan 5 years. I could say that my accent is far better than before though I still have grammar lapses (which is one of my insecurities). So, to all BPO aspirants just continue to apply. 🤜🤛
Me at the age of 40...with no experience in this kind of job ,not knowledgable in technology ang typing..very helpless to improve my english skills🥺🥺🥺. I wanted also to be ang bpo to support my needs of my child.
Its about your guts thats what make you survive in a CC/BPO industry. I know a lot of Agents that are not really fluent in speaking english language but when they're already on the floor they survive and you can see such improvement with their call-handling skills. Everything is a matter of time we don't learn and absorb things within a day, most of the time it takes a little bit longer. For me the problem and somehow the challenging part of having conversation with english speaker/customer is we try to connect to them using a language which we aren't used to. Just dont give😁.The more we try and push ourselves no matter how hard that job is, the more we get it. If we got no luck today maybe we can work it out soon.
thank you Clark Gocotano to your very useful comment it make sense♥️you help me to be more confident because unfortunately my grade in this video is in very poor level😅because as of this moment I'm preferring to apply in BPO industry by next day and I'm trying so hard my english.I wanted to explore my self in to other envirorment to challenge my self into a international level.i know it's hard for me to be one of them but Im willing try it no matter what happen..I do apologize with my english😊and I also say thank you for creating all of your video candis it help me so much♥️♥️♥️
I beg to disagree. I have seen countless agents who can barely construct one decent sentence in English, yet they managed to get hired. Especially in the past 5 years where in call centers conduct massive hiring just to hit the number of heads needed. I'm not saying it's a good thing, I'm just saying it has been happening. I would say though that it definitely helps if you are already capable of expressing yourself well in English. I just want to point out that there's a massive number of call center agents whose English is not that impressive at all but even managed to get promoted. Fact!
3.. I can understand native english and can speak english but I think I can't express my thoughts in english thru vocal, but in written I can express my thoughts well..
Its too hard to construct words esp. In a live call where cx tends to ask questions as if we know everything. They become mad once you told them that you have to transfer them over for further assistance.
i'm level 3, actually building sentences is like, complicated. fortunately for me, 99.99% of the people I speak on the phone don't complain about my english, they only ask for clarifications. That's why I survived for so long here even though I had no speaking skills haha
I personally prefer voice account, and I take it as a challenge to improve my English better, it is stressful as you said but also a great way to enhance the language.
I totally agree with you. Sometimes i also struggle in speaking english but i put myself in challenging environment (in so called BPO )just to enhance my language skills because this is the best way to improve yourself .
I guess I'm at level 3 or 2.5 something since I can somehow understand most of words spoken by english people but I found myself struggling on expressing my thoughts in english conference..
you might have actually reached your "plateau" level (between B2 and C1) I had the exact same problem. the solution?, start watching more videos with "professional language". "reviews about products you like, analysis about whatever you like (movies, books, politics, you named it.) and of course, debates, expositions, and all kind of stuff you'd do "if you owned any company". First two weeks you'll feel like you can't keep up, don't worry.
Thank you so much for makin' this content it really helps a lot to those who are planning to work in a BPO including myself!.😊❤👏 great idea and I love your accent!❤👏
I can understand english native speakers, but not 100 percent, especially when they are talking fast and use a lot of vocabularies. I can write a short story and I can pronounce almost all of the common words in english correctly. My accent is good as well. However, I can only do that when I am talking to myself alone; I can even talk for atleast 3 to 4 sentences straight. When I try to talk to someone in english, everything is being reversed. My goodness. Haha
May be i am lvl 2 haha Pero naka pasa ako.. pag nasa floor kana dun mo na lang matutunan ang lahat kaka english mahahawa ka na lang haha skl Note: Dapat daw lvl 4 ang pag english mo bago ka pumasok as call center its a big No.
I'm in 3 mos. now on the production and I got a lot of coaching from my TL to improve my communication skills. Just do lot of practices. Sabi ko Nga as long as naiintindihan Ako Ng customer gora palakasan Ng lang loob ❤❤
WE CAN DO IT!! LAVARN JAPAN LANG GUYS🤣 BTW FIRST DAY TRAINING KO MMYA FOR MOCKCALLS . WISH ME LUCK 😁
Thank you Ms. for the motivation. I'm at level 3 and I really need to improve my communication, and I'm striving and learning to be proficient in speaking.💖
2.25 yung english ko nung na hired ako. 1yr na ko sa bpo voice financial accnt 😆. Sobrang stressful pero para sa sahod kakayanin. 😆 Happy 13th month haha
Thank u for this video, im going to work as an agent and im very nervous, i guess my english is at level 3, i have seen several of your videos and they really help me to take it easy. I think the most difficult part, at least for me, is to communicate my ideas properly, i'd like to be able to do it
Its kinda sad on my side, uwu😔 I'm currently a trainee on a voice account profiled in Healthcare insurance, and the fact that I really dont know how to start my day everytime I remember that im going to work as a CCA, and I feel so dismayed about myself unavoidble to think this way, coz also im a neophyte in this industry but somehow I can understand english but theres a part that Im struggling when Im going to express my own thoughts I really need to think twice before I can able speak it out. PS: Sorry for grammatically error😔
Dont be in a hurry to make a response ,take a deep breath and compose your thoughts then after that just do your best to explain and study your scripts. Since, most likely your company your company has cheat sheets (scripts to use, to answer common cx questions and response) and give it like 2-6 months you will get better in speaking english.
Same here. I'm about to go on a training in a voice account by December and I know my self that I'm still struggling to express my thoughts and i still has some lapses on my grammar.😓
@@kourvhyndavesumarde2685 Yes! I passed the training ang I realized that it's not all about the grammar but it's how you will deliver the message.. I'm now on the probationary stage and hopefully will be regularized by June.😊
Only in the Philippines wherein local and non voice accounts are for college graduates and mostly who had 6mos. experience. For newbie, no background in CCA, a HS and K12 graduates were get hired in International account. So its impossible for those who can't speak fluently to land a job in a local account and non voice accounts. Even though its embarrassing for me to speak and communicate because I am not confident in my English, still I do my best to deliver my thoughts the best way I can.
@@Juli-qz8gl Hello there! There was no vacancy that time in the company i've worked in, then I resigned and looked for other company. Eventually, I got hired and was endorsed to voice campaign :)
As an aspiring call center agent.I always prefer or to choose to be on a voice acct. Even it would be stress for me at first. But, if this is you're dream job, ill take it as a challenge. 💪
I totally agree! I'm in level 3 my first account was telco voice account and it was very hard.. But after 4-6months you will learned a lot and used to it!! ( pagsuot Na ang headset automatically ang English haha)
I'm number 3, that is why I only applied for a BPO company that has chat support because I can understand English but when it comes to speaking I get nervous and tend to lose words. But when chatting, it is easy for me to express my words very well but I'd like to join a Voice account someday and this is my 1st time working in BPO company CSR non-voice.
Ive already posted your excellent channel on my Facebook account. It's hard to remember all English grammar rules for this kind of job and I guess that such an aspect is quite important when it comes to speaking...... my level is B1 but I stopped practicing 3 months ago I guess that I'll never achieve it
I started to take english call last week and I was nervous but now I have been feeling that my english has been improving a lot but I want to improve it more so that is why I will be watching your videos to achieve my goal as soon as possible but I am so happy because I was looking for 1 year and 9 months to get hire in a full english voice account because I was working in full spanish account but now they gave me the opportunity to be in full english account
Nakaka inspired talaga panuorin mo hihi. Pinag aaralan ko na ang English Language para naman di ako matameme pag tinanong na ng Tell me about yourself. 😅 Keep going Shina! I'm a fan 🙌
I’m at the number 2🥺 but call center job have been my dream for a long time, I want to be a call center, just sucks i ain’t fully equip, limited vocabulary plus grammar and easily get intimidated.
Thanks for your help! I think I can understand English speakers and I know I can speak well, but my grammar... I have to polish up my grammar :) with the help of God And practicing a lot I can do it I know it
I am currently planning to apply as a call center agent, but I don't know where to look at. Well, I am still working on improving my speaking skills and writing skills so I can be flexible wherever the company put me into. I think I am still at level 2 but I hope I could be better for few months.
im on no. 3 and im on my 2nd year now in working in the industry. i honestly dont know how i passed training. i have a lot of fillers and i stumble on my words quite a lot but im still employed here XD. guess am just really lucky.
i'm just new here and a new subscriber, i really admire how you speak. i will watch all your previous videos for sure. at sana maambunan din ako ng ganyang galing, hehehe
I am in the training process now and I wish all English native speakers talk like you jaja I can understand every single word coming out from your mouth. Thank you for your advices!!
Hi Sheena thanks for giving information And I'm one of your subscriber and I want my English communication skills better someday because I want to work in a call center someday
I know I can speak in English well. My problem is my pronunciation especially if I’m already tense, my pronunciation is not really good but I can really notice it. What will I do.
Pwede... but you must work for it. Push mo.... ...naniwala ko almost anybody can learn to do almost anything. Practise, practise, practise, especially on online chat groups, especially with audio - but not with other Filipinos - talk to people from all over the world. And LISTEN to ONLY English language, all of that time: music, TV, radio - you can get free online radio from all over the world. Read books. And study grammar, you can get free courses online for English grammar and go to meetup groups like Internations or language exchanges or couchsurfing. I would think it is achievable within one year. Never give up. I have been in a call centre, but I would guess that the biggest issue with understanding each other would be with a country like America which spans the height of the Globe and has over 50 clearly distinctly different accents. That must be difficult, the accents are soooo different. Aren't there also French, German, other languages? : )
Can you make a video about troubleshooting procedures when it comes to some technical issues for broadband and Phone products with some call flows , I just wanted to have more ideas about Q&A sample. THANKS and I look forward to that. God Speed
Nice video! very transparent. I think my english level is 3 and I applied for a customer service rep (voice). During my final interview, I wasn’t able to express myself well in english but luckily I passed the interview. right now I’m currently taking my training and I get this anxiety especially in mock calls😔
@snow white beauty112481 it’s challenging since i’m new to BPO industry. And hindi ganun kadali yung account I think lalo na if wala kang background tlaga but i think if you’re constantly practicing it kaya naman.
@@jetlyflores2784 I can say the training was very challenging specially if you’re not that fluent in english but thankfully naipasa naman mga mock calls.
Ohh unfortunately i am not fluent in english but still i got hired in a call center in a voice account assigning in a sales 😢😢😢 i know its kinda pressure and stresfull for me as a first timer in a bpo industry.. i am goin to start my training next week so goodluck to me 😔😔😔😢
@@Kwestyon I have a problem listening with a bristish accent I can't really understand what they are saying. Can you help me about this problem? Especially my grammar please?
I'm watching this video 1 hour before my job interview. I would say 'm not totally fluent since I haven't been in contact with the language for more than a year.
Up to now I really like to work as a call center but the thing is I am struggling myself when I talk or got interviewed personally.i and I was like🙄🙄🙄😂keep on making videos related to call center I keep watching your videos 😊
I score myself as level 3. I can talk well but there are times I am struggling. Wish me luck will be starting in a voice account this Monday in a health care account.
I i used to work in an call center where i should have advanced English bu i did not have it at the moment but i was able to speak with many natives speaker and my level was B2/C1
I recently applied for a call center agent. My English is not that bad but I still worry because I always think that I didn't do my best. But I'll try to think positive. Wish me luck
hi, I was so amaze about how you help us in speaking English. I hope you can help me also. I'm a new subscriber, and I'm searching on how to improve my English skills, especially in speaking the write words, I feel helpless everytime I failed my interviews, i just dont know what words should i use sometimes, I'm having trouble using on, in , at etc. Any suggestions will be appreciated
Is there any app can help me to improve my English accents and learning new words i hope. You see this cause i really want to work in call center but i know myself im not really good in speaking English but i want to learn more and more and specially grammars
Hello there. I will start my first day of training later on this day. And after watching this video I was suddenly scared because maybe I'm only at level 2 or 3 and I'm going to handle the telco account. My question is can I request that they just transfer me to a taglish account instead of pure english?
Hello may i ask about because i am currently on a step class in a call center now im bit nervous because when i get nervous i got stuck or mumbling words please help so i can give any idea on how to fix my nervousness and give some tips on how i can makes words clearly to the customers
Hi ate is its possible to apply in non-voice account then if you feel that you're equipped and stable enough to do the voice account pwede kaba mag shift from non-voice to voice account??
I probably belong to number 2. Since i can manage to speak english with barely correct grammars. And i find myself lacking in my vocabulary and expressing my thoughts whenever I'm in a convo. Listening to native english speakers is a challenge for me as well because of those accents.
I will be training on Monday, but the thing is, I am profiled in an international account. So it will be hard for me because I am not quite good or fluent in English. So I'm really nervous. I don't know if I will survive. It will be stress for me. I thought I would be profiled in a local account, so this was unexpected.
I can understand english verywell, but its hard for me to answer back,I don't know if im just nervous, but i forget the right words to use on answering the question.
may i please to recommend something in a video thats surpass about the experience as being as newbie of how to get rid of nevousness and anxiety during a training. because there are some people who are actually fluent in english but when they speak personally with the trainer or with the call they are losing their heads of what they are supposedly tryin to communicate with one side or another with the customer.
as she said in this video, some can survive within 6months of struggle..so its really depends on focus and determination.as long as ur honest and the company does not fire u,then u still have chance.😀
working in a call center is really a big dream for me. but honestly i dont think i am that confident. I can speak and understands english but one of the main problem i have is i am just a high school undergrad which i guess would be a big hindrance passing from their job qualifications. Also a bit prob when it comes to grammar. Is there any chance or a company would kindly hire someone like me? :(
I'm a level 2 in this one, I could speak english however my confidence is very low when it comes to that. I can express my self via chat, however when it comes to speaking I'm a little nervous. I can read english properly, but my verbal com is very low. I always get intimidated by my trainors perfect communication. I wish I could overcome this.
its my first time applying at a BPO company and I dont know how i passed the initial interview and the exam for Concentrix cause I find it hard to express my thoughts vocally lol, but i'll be taking my mock call and final interview next week, my ass is shaking but wish me luck
