Canadian scorpions? I bet they are so polite and ask if they can sting you first.

And then say sorry several times after stinging you 😂

@@smoochumstar Ladies and gentlemen, this is Paruroctonus boreus, the Northern scorpion, which is the only scorpion that occur naturally in Canada, and it can survive the cold climate of its northern distribution Is hard to think of Canada when you think of scorpions, but nature can be very amazing and show to us that some things that we have always imagined, they have actually been imagined in the wrong way

I love this clip about the only scorpion in Canada, which is Paruroctonus boreus, the Northern scorpion This scorpion is relatively harmless to humans, unless you are allergic to its sting, but don't worry the venom of scorpions is only used to kill their preys, and did not evolve for self-defense But is bad news for arachnophobes that Canada has scorpions 🦂🦂🦂😱😱😱😱

This is a Paruroctonus boreus, which is commonly known as Northern scorpion and is the only scorpion in Canada. In contrast to the popular image of scorpions as desert animals, this scorpion can survive the cold and surprisingly it has been found in the snow.

Probably around Osoyoos up to Kelowna. There's also scorpions in the more arid parts of southern Alberta.

It's not dangerous for an adult, its just like a bee sting, though a lot more painful. Its dangerous for little kids and baby's though

I tried to look for these guys in southern Alberta, practicing my skills as a wannabe young biologist, me and my friends went out in the Canadian deserts near drumheller Alberta near midnight and we brought flashlights and stuff to try to look for them. We actually did not find any but they can definitely be found in Canada, I will look for them next time and try to take some pictures and document them.

I’m from Drumheller and it’s not Alberta’s desert, it’s the badlands. You have to go south of Medicine Hat. We also don’t have rattle snakes here, only bull and garter snakes.
