Come along on a 4,000 mile road trip from Cadillac Mi, to Fairbanks Alaska. We'll take a trip through Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, The Yukon, and on up to Alaska. We'll drive through the mountain parks in northern BC. And up the Alcan Highway.

For decades I have heard about and dreamed about someday making this epic road trip ; never seen anything on this except some old still photos and some archival b&w film footage of the building of this road . Thanks Dave for taking us along on this one ; a truly beautiful and spectacular stretch of northern bush ! The scenery is just " to die for " . Enjoyed everything about this vid ; the music , editing , your philosophical rants , the bear scenes , the history , hanging out with Daisy , etc . Really diggin' your channel , Mister ! Glad you made it safely there . All the best , Glenn

Pretty sure my dog and I grabbed a few hours sleep at that spot just outside Wawa on our way from Kingston, Ont. to Fort Francis Ont. a couple years ago. My dog passed last year but this brought back great memories of some great adventures we had together. Love them while you got them, they pass too soon

I'm sooo thankful you posted this wonderful trip! You're so right about not procrastinating doing things like this or whatever your dream might be. My husband and I put off a trip to Canada until he retired. Right after he did, pain and mobility issues hit me and put me in a wheelchair. No more dream vacations or travel.

I know this was four years ago but I had to tell you I lived in London Ontario for a year and a half and I absolutely loved it! There were so many different areas just been time in! You have woods, you have the city, you have country type of to areas and there’s the reservation. You just get a little bit of everything and I just adored it! I hated leaving but my mother was sick with lung cancer and I had to go home!

Now I see why you make this trip, most beautiful scenery and wildlife. When you first called the dog daisy, I was going to ask if its Daisy, Maisy, or da woof!!! But you clarified that😆

I'm so happy that this popped up on the RU-vid feed! I caught Brooke and Moose's Michigan to Alaska trip not too long ago, so it's a treat to see your earlier version. Now it's 24 years since your very first solo road trip there. Bet that doesn't make you feel like you're getting older! Great scenery, even better stories and so fun to see da Woof in her prime. Thanks for taking thousands of us along! Now I feel the need to go make some coffee. 😃 ☕

Thank you ❤️ for all your videos and sharing so much with us, but this 20th anniversary trip was really exceptional! Thank you, Dave. The scenery is breathtaking! You are the most real, down-to-earth, kind, smart, funny guy ever! I absolutely LOVE Daisy and your relationship with her. Her sweet nature makes me think of our 20+ years of golden retrievers. There’s nothing like a good dog for company on a road trip!

This video is so much fun to watch and so beautiful, I’ve watched it about 5 times. You look like you’re right in your element and taking your favorite trip ever. The Yukon River log raft trip is another one I’ve watched numerous times. Great adventures! Thanks for sharing with us. I’ve only seen mountains like that in Bob Ross’s paintings!

This was a gem. Bike touring the Oregon Coast next month and looking forward to some solitude like this. Probably helps a bit with your sanity having a camera to talk to. Hope you film the next one for us.

Thank you, Dave, for sharing this video with us. It gives those of us who may never take a road trip due to certain limitations a chance to see the natural beauty of other places.

Your inspirational my man. Appreciate your content. Been looking for some motive to get over the "writers block" on my channel and the fact you just film this and don't stress, don't question it, just do it and know that it's valuable for people makes me really reconsider the way Im doing things. I appreciate you man. thank you.

Thanks for this and all your videos. I've been lucky to be able to do this drive 8 times, 4 up in the spring, 4 back south in the winter, usually from Ohio and this brought back great memories. I've done it solo every time and love getting weird and seeing where your mind wanders to. I love how vast Northern Canada is.

Ok perfect road trips !!!!! I watched all your road trip videos !!! Man this brought back great memories!!! A buddy and myself did a spur of the moment RT to Colorado to go fishing and visit some of his family in a fifty dollar car . It had a slant six and a three on the tree . We crisscrossed our way to his family s place. Never really did much fishing but pretty much rebuilt the car on the trip up. One used radiator a clutch a water pump a master cylinder rebuild and a few other odds n ends. Had craftsmen tools and a scout knife electrical tape and bailing wire and could fix anything Only real prep we did before we left was install a stereo with a cassette player . Food was in a Styrofoam cooler . Cokes crackers and peanut butter . We thought we were living like kings !!! My wife and I had an escort wagon like yours . Grew out of it when our third baby arrived but we put well over a hundred thousand miles in a couple of years . Great car. Really enjoy yours and your wife's videos. No BS honest and down to earth. Thank you !
