In my 4th Atlantic Travels video, I leave the island of Newfoundland to visit its mysterious sister to the north: Labrador. After a few ferry delays, I finally make it to a campsite and the adventure begins. Filmed in early September 2022.
Quality Note: Sorry, some of my low-light footage came out weird, as I was experimenting with a new camera. Do not adjust your set!

Slim, It is so refreshing to watch your videos, I am not watching someone trying to sell me something they got for free. There is no “Oh my God the worlds coming to an end” click bait, and I am not just watching someone make a video about nothing just to put out a video! Again thank you, always enjoy your content and how you deliver it.

Always a pleasant surprise seeing a new video has been posted. I usually save new one and watch it right before lights out. The videos seem to help me relax. I really do appreciate all the work you put into them. I do enjoy your cabin videos as well since I have gutted a older mobile home that I purchased last year. Mine has a lot more damage than I ever expected so your videos give me hope that one day mine will be livable. Thank you for making these videos 😃

The ferry crossing schedule to Labrador is definitely an approximation. I’ve waited several days to get across, because of a crosswind that didn’t seem that bad to me. People are used to sleeping in their cars in the lineup. You didn’t mention seeing the 7,500 year old burial mound on the L’Anse Amour Road. It’s of a Maritime Archaic boy. His body was wrapped in a shroud of bark or hide and placed face down with his head pointed to the west.

Slim, you're such a great story teller and your video work is pretty awesome too. Love watching where you go and seeing all the things you get up to when you get there. Specially like the fly by the seat of your pants videos when you have zero research into the are you arrive at. Those seem to be the more fun videos, lol. Happy trails and safe travels.

Nice thing about waiting for a ferry when you are pulling your home along with you is that you can take a break and do stuff in your mobile abode! Also, I would think that the peanut butter would add a "Thai" flavor to things. :9

Hi Slim, the running joke for that area is they do indeed get good weather ... but only 2 weeks of it, in the middle of summer. Now you know. Sometimes, the rain, fog and clouds add to the ambiance. Cheers, Steve

There are times I wish I had a small camper like yours.. It is no easy task pulling 9000 lbs across mountains & winding roads.. Not to mention set up & tear down every eve & morning when your on the road.. I love the room when Im parked , but it is a trade off... A small camper like yours still has the comforts.. And you can be on the road in a few short minutes..

Hi there, Slim. - Goethe, I'm told, was the one who said, that it is not the destination that counts but the path you travel getting there. Very Philosophical. Seems a waste of a day but at least you could feel justified in the trip by rescuing the environment of Alu cans. Collect enough of them, there might be some recycling value attached to your altuistic efforts. I'd be doing the same but I'd be chasing the sun (says I, tollerating to almost freezing point minimal overnight temperatures.) I'm waiting to see more of your fixer-upper project there by the Lake. Your culinary skills underway, are becoming very proficient and you're right about the taste improvement with the peanut paste. Seasam is another choice. Pak choi and onion, also would add to the flavour. Bit more work, though. Those evening silhouettes are sometimes breathtaking. "A thing of beauty....."

You can't drive along the entire length of the north shore in Quebec, you'd need to travel the Trans Labrador Highway (TLH). Look on a map as to where the TLH is and the fact you need to be prepared before driving it. If you are prepared, enjoy the trip.
