Watch the second half of Canada vs USA in the men's final of the 2014 Dodgeball World Championship. www.worlddodgeballfederation.com www.usadodgeball.com www.dodgeballcanada.org
Played this with my son at "bouncy parks" - but watching this I note 2 points: 2. The athleticism of these guys! Impressive. 1. The honesty with which they play the game
that last guy didn't even look like he got hit by the ball to me. guessing it barely bumped his foot. might've been able to get away with pretending like he didn't get hit
Lived in Arlington, VA back in the early 70's. I remember playing dodgeball inside a gym in Tuckahoe Park with a whole bunch of other kids. We played rough and getting hit in the face was a common occurrence. It hurt but you got over it. I loved the game. I'm on the verge of 61 years old. Playing sports and staying in shape keeps me going strong. I know there are others out there like me. Keep it up and stay healthy.
I lived in Arlington as well, I remember playing dodgeball for PE at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. :) good times. When I moved, our high school never played it for some reason.
Playing dodgeball is a great childhood memory. Being the last person on your team, ducking and dodging as the other team just can't hit you was a huge amount of fun.
I cannot believe there are grown men playing this AND there are people watching. This is like a boyhood dream come true. The best way to stay young is to have fun! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend as much as these guys enjoyed this match. Phillip.
Why copy what a thousand have previously? There seems to be a whole list of "nobody searched for this" comments underneath.. I honestly don't know why people have to spam the same comment over & over... 🤔
I loved this game. In elementary and grade school the game had rules. If you hit someone in the head, you were out. The balls were big. When I got to high school, The name was changed to SKULL. Smaller balls and hitting someone in the head was a good shot. You learned quickly not to stand next to the wall or you risked getting your head bounced off it as you fell. Then the coach would yell foul line, which brought the team even closer, whipping those small balls at speed. GREAT GAME!
Good memories of this game. I remember having a tournament with other schools my class had 2 teams and I was in one of them. Our 2 teams got second and first place. God it felt good to bring other schools down. We had been training for months.
oh my!! in Brazil we call this sport "carimba" we used to play outside, on quite streets with not too much traffic, but we are not sofisticated..🤣 it s only 1 ball for each team. Oh my, it reminds me so much when I was child, we were a bunch of people to play kind of 30 children, sometimes people of our family played also, mums, aunts, uncles etc ,so we divided the camp or the street in 3 or 4 teams, so nice to remember that 😍
The NFL Pro Bowl weekend has had dodgeball for the last few years. There are pretty good videos online for it. An intersport version would be even cooler, for sure.
Bro, we are doing a dodge ball tournament at our school currently, where you can make teams. Later in our actual PE block, me and my group, 10 v 60 the rest of our class groups. We won. I’ll never forget that. Now our team captain posted this video on discord to get us hyped. Edit: we won the whole school competition.
Dodgeball is pretty popular around the world. There were other teams participating in this. I live in Brazil and I played dodgeball in school back in the 1990s and 2000s.
20:12 is one of the most incredible moves I've ever see in a professional dodgeball match... granted this is the only one I've ever watched unless you count Average Joe's vs The Purple Cobras
We used to play this with the rule that player that are out, would go to the other side outside of the lines fetching balls to use to eliminate the opponent and therewith were restored. This would make the game incredibly fast and dynamic. Another variant was that you'd have to maintain a big heavy and heavy mat, with the goal to bring the opponent's down by eliminating the ones that were holding it upright (with same rules as the first variant as I described above).
me and the boys back in elementary school treated this like war. But we played a variation called pinguard, where the goal was to protect the bowling pin
One of my happiest memories as a kid was playing dodgeball in PE and my whole team was knocked out and the other team was at full strength. I was able to pick them off one by one and won that game. I remember my whole team running out and surrounded me celebrating in excitement…. Then we went inside for math class. Haha
I knew there's a game called dodgeball but never watched it. But now watching this I can tell this game is so fun to play and watch. I think this is about fun more than intensity.

I got this recommended to me a couple of years ago and I watched it then. Suddenly I got it recommended to me again today. I have a shitty memory so I couldn't remember who ended up winning so I was like, fuck it, you got me youtube... I guess I'll watch it again! I'll probably forget the outcome once more and watch it again in a couple years I guess.
Kinda like how the NFL champions are called, or rather titled 'WORLD Champions' even though the sport is only in Northern America "National" Football league.. Not World football league, America.
Mate, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, France, England, Mexico, Hong Kong - So many other countries play this and it's fucking amazing
It's crazy how a incredibly popular sport like Dodge, everyone played at least one time in their life but still the professional stage is not so popular like other sports like football or basketball.
@@dvrek8712 bro, even in real speed I could see that hit the ground before getting to him. But watch it in .25x speed. It hits the ground first, and he dodges it like a fucking God anyway
Katsuki Stole My Soul literally shut up dude. Nobody cares and I’m not an idiot. You saw the other comment that’s at the TOP and highest liked comment had the same comment so you wanted likes. Literally nobody cares to believe you.
Fortnite Funny, “nobody cares.” Lmao, seems like you do. You took the time to first assume that I copied another comment. Which really isn’t need. Because there’s people out there dying yet your worried about some kid on the Internet, copying some other kid. I don’t think you realize how irrelevant that is. But then also, reply to me. I’m pretty sure you “care” enough. Funny how the only thing you think is that I want likes. What is it going to get me? Money? No. Likes are pretty useless here. P.s I never even mention you being an idiot. But now you really are. 😊
