Please do more of these for the other express entry options. Also could you explain the new IEC and how you can re apply under the new rules? Or just IEC to permanent residence would be great. Thanks
I have a question, at what point are you required to pay the processing fees and right for permenant residence fees? is it before you submit your application or after you are accepted?
Thank you for the information. If I am doing a 4-year PhD and I have already completed 2 years of full-time studies but don't have a degree yet, can I get 5 points for the "Adaptability-Your past studies in Canada" criterion? Thank you again.
Should my current employement be related to my education or the university degree that I have? I have Bachelors degree in English Translation but I am working as an English Teacher for three years outside Canada. Will I still get education points in FSWP if I have my degree assessed? Thanks a lot.
Hi Rhys, thanks for the video. There is one thing I actually don’t get it. For the FSW I have around 74 points, although for the CRS I have 428 which is not enough. If they are different programs, can I apply specifically for the FSW with this score?
Completely utterly confused. So If I have a CSR score of 469, which according to today's criteria, I will not get an invitation. What's next, I will submit another application for the Federal worker program, and then get another score, say 95. Then what's next? I am confused about that 1200 parts. So what is this Federal Skilled worker program ? How does it differ from the EE?
Hi Bocheng, A couple of things to clarify for you: - Express Entry is not an immigration program. It is a system used to manage applications submitted through three distinct programs: Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). - If you submit an Express Entry profile, the profile is valid for up to 12 months and will be considered in all draws over that duration. So, if you have a score of 469 and you don't get an invitation in one draw, you will remain in the pool for the next draws, until you receive an invitation or your profile expires. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the video. I have question: if born in July 1992, till when is it considered 29 years old? 2022 January or 2022 July? Thank you for your answer
As an electrician, Can I apply to FWSP? I have more than 5 years experience working as electrician in the past 10 years but I do not have 2 years of working experience in the past 5 years. I have a certificate for electrician and a diploma of project management. I’m 33, 7 English in Ielts and I think I am able to get the minimum for points taking some French exam. Calculating my FSW points grid - it was 69 in the worst scenario and 77 in the best scenario. I’m outside Canada.
I got 1 year experience of NOC A and got another 1 year experience of NOC B then would it be counted as a total 2 years experience in FSW? Or just 1 year?
Can federal skilled worker immigrants change their career upon reaching canada, I.e. go to school again to pursue another profession? Provided they had proof of funds. Or are they landlocked into the profession they used to immigrate to canada
If a Federal Skilled Worker applicant is approved, they become a Canadian permanent resident. This means that they can work in any position they find in Canada, regardless of the occupations listed in their immigration application. As well, they can undertake studies in Canada!
Hello, I wanted to know if I can somehow submit documents for the CIC Canada Immigration program - if I live/work as a medical doctor in Uzbekistan and am a stateless person?
Hi Arthas, Nice catch! The minimum language requirement for FSW is a CLB 7. We spotted the error on our site and have fixed it. But, do note that CLB 7 is a minimum requirement. If you can hit CLB 9 on your language test scores you'll get a lot more points added to your CRS score, so it's always best to study and aim high!
