After nearly a decade of contributing my artwork, knowledge and energy pro bono to the members at The Sim Outhouse. I was banned as a result of a political stunt. Their reason... another member told administration that I intended to file legal action against the site.
This statement was a malicious fabrication and entirely false.
I published this video to set the record straight.

Hi, that's very sad to hear about all your troubles with Sim Outhouse, you really do make the most amazing models, and your videos are a real work of art. The Tigercat you did in FSX was truely wonderful and I waited years hoping you'd release the remodelled VC, but alas it never happened and everyone switched to P3D. I couldn't afford a new PC and to rebuy everything so had to stick with FSX and miss out on anything else you did. Well I did get the B50, C97 and the DC3.............I hope something good comes out of all your trouble some time soon, you really are a master of model making. All the best Dave

I went about rebuilding the data in stages. Recover the scenery, recover any mesh I could find etc. The aircraft required I go about the reconstruction from the mesh up...then animations...then art and so on. It makes the most sense to tackle one format at a time. P3Dv5 and MSFS utilize a very specific structure, then P3D earlier than 4.5 utilize a different structure. Same for FSX/P3D2&3. All of that model is complete and ready for beta. I don't run FSX/P3D3 on my system so I was relying on beta testers from SOH. That all went upside down, so I need to do the earlier releases working backward from P3Dv5...then downhill. All of the models will be available, with the virtual cockpits shown here, for all sim platforms. The timeframe has been disrupted by the events at SOH. Hang in there...

@@thevirtualcockpit5001 Well thank you for taking the time to reply back to my comments. It is very heart warming to know that you would eventually still be interested in releasing your great models for the older sims............I remember you having the issue with the Microsoft update that wiped all your stuff, I know I was gutted for you, I can't imagine how you felt after so much hard work had been put into creating your work. Will your channel here be the best place to keep in touch with what your doing in the future, or do you use facebook too?.................I will be hanging in there! You know, I feel the whole flight sim community became really fragmented once P3D and MSFS came out..............I know FSX had it's faults but at least everyone had to make do with the same limitations................Now it seems as if small groups, interested in their own sim base have just wandered off in different directions and we have lost the reason for having a sim, to go flying. Sorry I went off on a tanget then, missing the community more than I thought. aqll the best Dave, and thanks.

@@stretchedits I quite FB a short while back. On GAB now...less drama. Funny thing...I like MSFS, more for the potential right now, but for me Prepar3D and even going back to FSX, it's like building an HO layout. When you have your hands in every aspect of the build...the ultimate use of your labor is much more fulfilling. IMO

Bummer that all that went down. Online discourse is the worst sometimes. I’ve really been looking forward to these planes, and really happy to see the progress! I assume you’re still targeting P3D V5? Or did you shift to MSFS? (Scenery looks too good to be P3D.)

Thanks Denny. Focusing on P3Dv5, and earlier as well. First on deck P3Dv5. The models are built to be MSFS compatible, but the MS SDK only recognizes 3D Studio models back to Max2016. I have Max 2015, but I think Arno will probably tweak ModelConverterX to resolve that problem. I would have to surrender a very expensive license to upgrade my Max, and they only do it by subscription now. That runs about the cost of a car payment, so for right now I'm sitting tight on MSFS and waiting to see what shakes out. Thanks for asking.

And...yeah, all that scenery is mine. It was actually my first forte'...aircraft came after. I did two projects for ORBX a while back, the scenery in the video is what I have recovered so far, and eventually will be released as payware. I haven't converted any for P3Dv5, but the existing works pretty well. The vegetation is a radical technology, but extremely logical. Not sure where that will land. I had done much of it as autogen, but that was completely lost. Starting from scratch is laborious and time intensive. Once I release the aircraft the decks will be clear to focus on what comes next. Good thing is...I got a lot of options, and quite frankly I got it wayyyy better the second time around. Prepar3D can be made to look extremely realistic, hard to tell from MSFS2020. The Microsoft sim is a great turn key deal for those who like that kind of thing. Nice thing is...there is enormous potential on both fronts. Good for a guy like me.

Still sad to hear this, I hope you get back up and running soon on a more independant platform!

Thank you Peter. I am at this time working on that very thing. I am in fact, back up and running and I will be releasing the freeware models. Beyond that there will be some very good news for everyone here on this channel in the next few weeks. Can't put the cart before the horse quite yet, but I'm working on it full time. More coming....

Sorry to read of Sim Outhouse, but then they are pirates themselves! I have a long history of being banned by such sights for daring to speak the truth, and refusing to toe the(ir) party line. Look forward to your new site!

@@md11x6 Curious then, that I have NEVER been banned from ANY forum which I seek access to. I have been removed from certain fora, but i have no desire or reason to visit, or have no further need of them.. I also have NEVER knowingly engaged in debate with YOU, whoever you are? Sim Outhouse is one of the worst and unfriendly forums I've ever been part of. If you're not an original member, they treat you with disdain. Glad you'll move on and start your own.

Agreed. I long ago stopped viewing their fora, and indeed have a latent disregard for anything they have to say... despite maintaining my access there, I have no use for it. In fact I just checked my last visit there, and it was more than TWO YEARS ago.
