CANCER JOURNEY UPDATE: Going Into The Hospital For My PET-Scan 

So happy Jeff is your boyfriend and treats you so well. I hope this was your last pet-scan forever!!!

The way that you deal with hospital visits and pet scans in the ups and downs of taking care of your health is pretty amazing to me. I admire and respect the way that you navigate through this difficult journey. And I’m sure that I’m not alone in being so happy to see Jeff there by your side. Pre-PET scan naps are the best. It always feels like by the time that I fall asleep, they're already waking me up to take me back to the scanner. Praying for a clear scan for you.

I don’t feel so bad now-I used to get those awful knots in my hair too and yes my mom did the same thing, every one had this beautiful long hair and I had a Bob😂😂😂😢. Thank god it grows back. Your boyfriend is a sweetie, best wishes for an awesome scan!

If you can find it over there, try Johnsons No More Tangle Spray for Children. It really works and it is gentle on your hair. I too had hair Loss and it came back curly. It is now down my back. I await for good results from your Pet Scan. ❤

Oh man, I can relate to the hair knots. I like to sleep with my hair in a bun, and then I have a bad habit of not taking it out for days so when I try to let it out it's all tangled up in the scrunchie, and it's a PAIN to get out :/ I am sure your PET scan will be clear, here's to positivity and good vibes :)

Hoping for a great result for you from your PETScan. I understand the frustration . Last time I went to get my scan last month I was in the machine and it quit working. I went back 2 days later it quit working before it was my time to get it. Went back for the 3rd time I was almost done and it shut down again. Fortunately they got it going again to finish. It’s a portable one that travels around so I am sure it is worn out. The hospital is getting their own and it should be ready by the end if the year, so hopefully no more episodes like that again. Jeff is so sweet you better hang on to that guy he is one of the great ones. Take care and please post your results.

HI , I really hope that's the last pet scan u have to undergo ur looking fabulous. I have curly hair & have learnt that curly hair needs treated with alot if time & care specific hair products for curly hair is always best my go to is Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Food Shampoo , conditioner & hair mask which I use as leave in conditioner.

I just had 2 lung biopsies.. 1st had 1 slide with weird cells, but all came back good. Due to the 1 slide they wanted to do it again 😢 but I did and all came back malignant except for 1 slide had normal cells .... long story short that was 3 weeks ago and it's been a blur ... !!!! I had my 1st PET scan and was scared to death so I get being nervous!! It showed no Mets so in fast forward I've seen a pulmonologist, a Surgeon, and finally an oncologist. I start chemo with Immunotherapy next Monday. My Regular Doctor suggested I have a lu g scan and I believe he saved my life really the mass is 3.4 cm no Mets and staged at 1b. Please if you smoke or not and you become the age to check please please please do it ! Or if you just have any symptoms you haven't ever had. Please Google to what they might be and tell your doctor your concerns I didn't have any symptoms except my knees stared hurting but I've also have rheumatoid arthritis. I'm 56 as of this past June. I've been watching this channel since the beginning and it has helped me in ways I never thought I would need. My daughter has curly hair and she used to have it long! The knots and tangles were horrible! I tried to not have her wear clothes or have blankets with fleece since it seems like that it shed in her hair making knots around the fibers! Good luck with your results!

I have long hair that gets so tangled. I use chi serum tho and it helps take my tangles out.

Haha that eating is so recognizable after the pet ct scan cuz you have to wait soo long before u can eat somethin ; my husband also comes with a bag full of food and juices 😂

My mom did the same with cutting my hair to a bob when i was about 7 because of knots behind my ears

Use the detangling brush on dry hair. But start at the bottom of the tangle get a little bit tangle free and then move up a little and get a little mire free. It works great. Praying for goid results on your scan.

For the hair, use a hair mask in the shower, when you get out, use a water based leave in conditioner, brush gently, from the bottom of your hair and work your way up. Brushing harder doesn’t help. And use a wet brush. When done, use a hair oil on the ends. I have curly hair, so does my daughter. This is our hair routine.

Use a large comb , and start at the bottom and work your way up. It will be so much easier.

Haven't seen one of your videos in a very long time -you look beautiful!! My 16 year old niece was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma A2 or 2a(?) a few months ago. Seeing your video in my YT scroll had me thinking about her-she even looks a little like you without the hair🙃 Glad your evening from the scan ended well.✌️🤍

Girl you need a actual "Wet" brush. They are AMAZINGGG at getting tangles out without hurting. The one you have still pulls to much, I have one lol.... try it, you will love it ❤❤

Odd. I’ve had 6 PET Scans; one diagnostic and one each year for 5 years following tx’ed. After the nuclear medicine was injected, I had to lie still. Also, all cancer patients have poor veins and are hard sticks. Lifelong SLE hasn’t helped my veins much either.

Romee you look so good. Your hair length is perfect for you. I can totally relate to hair knots, 2 years ago my hair was down to my knees, I kept pinned up on top of head, most of the time. I was accidentally pushed down and sprained both wrist. I wasn’t able to brush my hair everyday. I live a lone and I had no one to assist, my hair went into a huge Knot/tangle. I fixed it though with scissors, I cut it all off. Above my shoulders. Surprisingly I don’t miss my long hair.

Quick tip for curly hair knots- if your hair is dry, run it through a flat iron and then brush it out. Worked like a charm on my daughter’s curly hair. And of course- best of luck on your PET scan!!!

Jeff's care and affection for you is wonderful and rare. Please don't take it for granted!!! Once you get older you'll realize it better, perhaps. I would hate for you to later have regrets. Plus, it is better to commit to a man who loves you more than you love him, rather than vice versa (if for some reason it isn't equal). ❤ Best wishes.

I don’t have curly hair I just don’t brush it every day but when I did go to do it oh my daughter had to get them out as I have fibromyalgia and can get so sore as my hair is long but it’s getting cut short this week my choice looking forward to it xx 🤞all goes well my dear xx ❤❤

The key to knots in your hair is to wash and get a good cream rinse. Rub it in the ends and half way up the hair. I try to avoid the scalp as much as possible but it won’t hurt to get in on your scalp. I use Pureology sheer rinse. I love it. Been using it for years. I have really curly almost kinky hair. Good luck.
