Congrats! After watching countless youtubers go through chemo therapy, as a scientist, who understands what chemo does to your body, I have firmly decided I will never get chemo therapy. I will remove the mass and live the remainder of my existence in gratitude for however long I have. I realize that's not for everyone, but while I'm not even 40 yet, I've had enough medical trauma and want to die with a piece of me still intact. I'm glad you had such an amazing support system. Not everyone has that. I'm also very sorry for your initial loss in the process as many women experience that. Men are just not hardwired to be care takers. So unfortunately abandonment happens a lot. I feel you're in a much better place romantically now than ever before and I wish you nothing but the best.

Doing a happy dance for you. That is fantastic news. Cancer sucks a pie hole. It is one thing I couldn't wish on my worst enemy. You have empathy for people around you still going through the cancer journey. That just proves you are a good person.

It’s a very complicated emotional thing being sick. I have Multiple Sclerosis which will never go away unless they find a cure. I was relieved when I was diagnosed because I finally had a diagnosis of what I was going through. It’s very complex and confusing ❤❤❤

Romee it sounds like survivor guilt. It’s a real thing. I have leukemia. I am very close to remission and I get anxious and afraid. Crazy but true! You will grow stronger as time goes by. Life does suck but it’s precious and fragile too! You’ve come a long way baby!!🧡

Dear Romee, thank you so much for taking us with you on your journey! ❤ It helped me a lot, when I got cancer myself and had to go through chemo, surgery, radiation,... Although I'm of course very sorry you had to experience this hard time, I'm at the same time grateful for your sharing. And for me yesterday was a special date, so 1 day before your special date - last year on Sept 9th I went bold, also very emotional.

Thank you for showing the emotions that can come with cancer. I have been following your journey for a few years. My daughter was diagnosed with leukemia in 2013, had a stem cell transplant and had 6 1/2 wonderful, healthy years. But she always feared relapse with every pain or cold. She did relapse in 2020, 2021 and 2022. She was put into a clinical trial for CAR T-cell therapy which worked, the cancer was gone. But she had to have a 2nd transplant, and even though it was the same donor, the CAR T changed the way her body reacted. She got extreme GVHD and while her immunity was 0, she contracted viral pneumonia. It is almost her 1-year anniversary of her passing, September 28, 2022, at 28 years old. It helps me to see others beating cancer, so I am so happy for you. Go live your life for those who are still fighting!

Thank you for talking about this. This feeling is extremely relatable to anyone with any kind of trauma but it's not often talked about. You always hear people saying that you shouldn't dwell on "why me?", but i think sometimes when you go through a completely unfair and life threatening situation, it's fair to ask "why did this happen?" and be angry and upset when you don't know why. I'll be thinking of you, please hang in there.

When my son was going through treatment I was on top of everything, meds, appointments, er visits, hospital stays, and then when it was all done I completely went into hermit mode. The need to process is REAL. The trauma is real. When you're going through it you don't have time to actually process, the only goal is to make it to the other side. I’ve had a lifetime o hospitals. I’m having two days of infusions Mon and Tuesday. I’ll be having treatments till the end of my life. If I was ‘cured’ I can imagine feeling just like you! WHY WHY WHY would be my major anger. Congrats on starting a new chapter!!

I’m so happy you’re ok. It’s so normal to have these feelings. It takes time to process & deal with any battles such as cancer & chemo. I lost my home in a tornado & I survived as I was in the house. Everyone said I should be happy I was alive but I still lost everything, no insurance & someone took the money I got for my land. I’m not the same person before that happened. It was devastating. I was grateful but so angry. I know this is not serious as cancer but we all have to go through grief. I’m proud of you. You are amazing. Give yourself time & let yourself grieve & feel your anger. This is so real and your feelings are totally valid. When my daughter finished chemo for leukemia we went from being at the hospital weekly or bi-weekly for labs and checks to going once a month the first year. Then every other month the second year. It’s hard to think you’re just done. Chemo is like a safety blanket. Those labs are your reassurance that all is well. Now we are down to every 6 months. That was really hard but we are coping. Oh, I was holding my breath, even with being on 0xygen 24/7 I was 22 years old when my health took a nose dive. I am so happy 😃 you are free of cancer. I had breast cancer 2 years ago, but so far I am cancer free. I see my doctor in October. I have been following you for approximately two years now. I am very thankful for you, you are a beautiful young woman with your whole life ahead of you. I am old now but thank God for each day.
