I love when they go out on the Honey Fitz, you can feel the chilly air, the wakes, and the breeze when the ladies put on their scarves and hats. Golden days for sure. Thanks for posting.
Indeed it was. I think it was kept well for John Jr to go out there. As he did so often. Quick note when the binoculars are pulled out for that larger fine boat gliding by. Lol.
I love this video. It makes me happy and sad at the same time. I want to scream at my computer screen and tell them not to go to Dallas. No matter what anybody what anybody says, the man was a great politician and leader. The way he got the country so excited about being American and what a difference each citizen could make by contributing something back to their country. It was such a positive outlook that he spread around the nation and his communication skills were impeccable. The two of them seemed to electrify the nation! I have been away for a while and this is my first real chance to get caught up here. Thank you for another great video!
Great leader? He was in the White House for far too short a time to assess him as a great leader. He won the presidency by the smallest margin ever, and his election was rigged by his father's deal with the mob. He was a great speaker, with great aspirations for America. By the grace of Jackie Kennedy, her fashions and refinement, the nation and world was drawn to them. He treated her abominably. He was a serial philanderer. They were on the precipice of a divorce, when he persuaded her to go to Dallas with him. Before that fateful trip, she was hardly ever in the White House, preferring to be in her country home in Virginia. The world braced for nuclear war, when he challenged the USSR's missile site in Cuba. Now, under Biden, the US ignores the US intolerance for any offensive foreign military base close to its borders, while digging in with an offensive US military base right on Russia's border, actually initiating war, hoping the dangerous hypocrisy will escape the masses. He could be considered the last classical liberal president. The Democrat Party, slid into more and more destructive socialism after his death, to its outright totalitarian fascism today. He was as leary about the CIA as Trump is -- more vocal about it than Trump. It cost him his life.
@@normamimosa5991actually jack and Jackie were CLOSER than they had been after they lost Patrick in August. She WANTED to go to Dallas with him. Yes he had affairs sadly. ALOT of men did .. the wives just looked the others.way. it doesn't justify it at all but sign of tines. For the 1,000 days they were in the white house. He made a huge impact. Had he not been killed I think he would've won re-election and would've done even more great work. It was a huge loss for all of us. When he was assassinated.
Hammersmith Farm ( Jackie's mother's home) looks stunning. The stables, pool area, just lovely. Both President Kennedy snd his wife loved the ocean. Thanks for sharing. So nice, such a shame the most horrific tragedy was just around the corner. Nothing would ever be the same, for many. 😪
For 20 minutes, I was magically transported away from all of today's ugliness and divisions to a time that had its problems and issues but was more hopeful and where the American people were on the move. Amazing footage and surreal knowing that that the horror of Dallas was right around the corner. Sigh.
Oh it is. You've got to get out to the ocean sometime. It's where life makes sense. Though scary bc you realize how powerful it is. It's the most wonderful thing in the world. ❤..Maybe you could go out on a whale watching experiment if you don't find another way. I hope you do get to experience it.💞🙏🏻😊
At 7:06 JFK Jr is holding a toy helicopter. I had THAT helicopter at the same time. Only, I was 6 years old and I would "fly" that thing everywhere. My favorite toy ever. Amazing to see he had one too !!
That's just the point. He's holding the hat but never wearing it. JFK was said to be very vain about his hair -- which he had great hair -- and refused to wear hats for fear of ruining it. They say that President Kennedy was a major factor in the gradual decline of hat usage among men starting from the time period he was in office.
Interesting how Jackie hid her cigarette from the camera. Caroline slapping the pony in the face was a bit startling. As for Jack & Jackie, they never seem close. Incredible footage of an extraordinary family.
Jacqueline Kennedy knew how to use her money wisely and Jacqueline Kennedy really Loved her children ♡♡♡ She was one amazing strong focused determined Lady ♡♡♡
Thanks for this. I visited the Hammersmith Farm mansion in 1982 and 1983, 30 years to the month of Jack and Jackie's marriage in September of 1953. I was up there on company business in Hartford, CT (The Travelers).
Albeit a life of privilege, Jackie Kennedy's children were brought up of empathy and compassion for the less fortunate.. That is the very definition awareness and action = change!
Everyone looks so well dressed and classy unlike today. I like that beautiful navy blue sweater with gold buttons JFK pulled on He and Jackie had a wonderful sense of style.
@@delilasloan8914 Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL) is a cancer of the lymph node system. Let it Go was wrong in her statement. Jacqueline Kennedy certainly did NOT have lung cancer. Even if the Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma had spread to her lungs, it would still be NHL, NOT lung cancer. I know this because I also have NHL, which has spread to my lungs.
See what those God-damned wicked men did? The ones who killed this good man two months later? They instantly snuffed out his life. For what!? They met their end also. Good! Their ilk continues to wield power. But they too will meet their end. That is why they hate the living God. Because they have a lot to lose...naturally. They have a whole lot more to lose than they can imagine actually. Their eternal existence will be dark and lonely.
I Love, Love, Love this video! Thank you. I am two years older than Caroline. I remember I had wished i was her, she had a Dad and a pony. But then...😢
JFK had more love for that little boy than she ever did for him.😢that poor boy, first losing his father then discovering Caroline was Jackie's favorite. Girls are famously easier to handle growing up, but that should not be the barometer. Thank God John Jr. Had his dad's love for thise first formative years.❤
What's cool is that Kennedy is younger and so casual, but is also a war hero and carries that experience and reputation with him when he meets these army brass who greet him when he lands.
Don't respect Karoline k I respected President John F kennedy First lady 🙏🤲👏🙌🇺🇸🗽🇺🇸🌹🍀 Son john kennedy Very handsome as his dad. Father son died to young. We ladies all had dresses as first lady (pretty) Smart she was is still loved.
8:26-9:44 Beautiful💙✊extreme hd clean footage ive never seen before. I wonder what John always thought of JFK JR. Ought to be in the future as? President? Governor?
Niko here - That is an interesting thought. I once saw an interview with Jay Schadler of ABC interviewing JFK Jr. Schadler, of course, asked Jr if he had any presidential ambitions which Jr. side-stepped beautifully. Then Schadler asked him what he thought his Dad would have thought about his own future now. JFK Jr said that in "today's" climate (which was the year 1989) he was not at all sure whether his father would have chosen to run. I was surprised at first but after thinking about it I thought it was an incredibly insightful answer. He was obviously educated about the life and times of his father and knew when his Dad was President, questions weren't asked about personal lives. The press has info on JFK, JFK had info on the major members of the press so everybody kept quiet. That wouldn't have been the case in 1989. I have seen so many comments from Kennedy haters on these sites. Their go-to lines to attempt to tarnish JFK as a President is to remind us of his reputation with the women. Lol, that is so rich considering that today there is somebody in office who has tried everything twice and magically it doesn't seem to matter to them. Wherever shall they turn from now on to be so harshly critical of JFK, when they are supporting blindly, somebody with no moral code in almost every category. Lol, I love it because they have all played their hand now. Did anybody ever hear JFK talking in the vile manner the present person in office has done? I don't think so! Just some thoughts I wanted to share after reading your post.
@@pookiebear364 You are correct. I remember a brief interview in which JFK was stopped for a few minutes to answer a few questions. It seems to me that whoever was asking the questions inquired about what JFK wanted for his son. He replied with one word which was "happy". He didn't have a preconceived notion of what he wanted for either of his children. I can only imagine that it may have had something to do with the fact that Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. was fairly bent on first Joe Jr. to be President and then JFK, who wondered how he was going to fill the shoes of his older brother.
@@DeborahLuptak Our current fake president makes Trump look like a saint. Your comment is laughable and pathetic. At least Trump didn’t get us into a single war.
She smoked 3 pks. a day..and JFK truly loved her..Note Pics when he is looking in awe of her..He often held her hand or arm...I actually witnessed it.....
Too bad he was surrounded by corrupt cowards he thought he could trust. Betrayal can never be forgiven by mortal men. I can't. Nothing worse than disloyalty. Don't poke the horses John Jr. Be a lover not an irritant. Those kicks hurt. Trust me I know.
I don’t think he was poking the horse. I think he wanted to pet it but he was timid. I thought the same thing at first. Never knew he sucked his thumb.
