"President Joe Biden surely would have won Florida’s 2024 Democratic presidential primary, but we’ll never know. The state party effectively cancelled it by certifying no one else for the March 19 ballot. By law in Florida, uncontested elections don’t appear on a ballot.
It’s an insult to Democratic voters and a disservice to local elections being held the same day. It also sets a very bad precedent at a time when democratic, small d values are struggling nationwide. Democrats are supposed to be the party of expanding voter participation - remember?"

There is a secret way to vote for Cenk. Write his name on a piece of paper and deposit it in the special ballot drop boxes labelled "Recycling". It will be just as effective as voting for someone that is constitutionally disqualified from becoming President, like Turkish born Cenk.

I worked as a field organizer for the Democratic party for 8 years. One of those cycles was with the Bernie Sanders campaign in Las Vegas. Hilary's camp had Bernie's outfunded by so far it was ridiculous!! Example, we had our little volunteer crew of about 20 people to start holding signs on the strip. We took up one corner by the time all was said and done....Hilary had a parade. The DNC had Hilary Tshirts on Many union workers and high schoolers and all kinds of groups....she even had a Mariachi band!!! Bernie was similarly squashed, Cenk....but they allowed him a bit more time to pretend he had a shot. This was 2016 and only 1 small example of how the money actually does talk in the campaign world....louder than citizen voices.

What kind of idiot thinks he can use the law to overturn the Constitution? The Constitution can’t be ruled unconstitutional. It doesn’t matter if you think it is unfair. The Supreme Court can’t rule the Constitution unconstitutional. Only a constitutional amendment can change the requirements for holding the office of President. That means getting two-thirds of the Congress to agree to seat a Constitutional Congress, two-thirds of the Constitutional Congress to agree on an amendment, 38 state legislatures to vote to ratify and 38 governors ratifying it. This is a publicity stunt.

Incorrect, if it was only that simple. The US doesn't so much have 2 parties, but 1 system, a very fixed, entrenched system. While certainly many are in for personal interest, their personal interests has also mingle with personal perception of what America stands for. They all think they are doing the 'right thing' to 'save' America and Democracy. Everything not their brand of money politics or capitalism is consider 'unAmerican'. The 14th amendment which was written nearly 100 years after Article 2 "All citizens Born or Naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof “are citizens of the United States". There is no Citizen A (born here) who has superiority or more rights than Citizen B (naturalized). A citizen is a citizen and Cenk is now a citizen according to the 14th amendment. He is eligible to run.

@@andrewbidwell6421 well he's the one trying to put his name on the ballot so those are the people who would help him put his name on the ballot. Unfortunately according to him the Democratic primaries are being canceled in those states. Which is weird because that didn't happen the last time because it had at least 20 candidates on the debate stage. So you would seem like the DNC is in charge of that since they're the ones hosting the primaries. So if they're the ones responsible for them and the primaries are being canceled in each state he mentioned both red and blue States that seems like they don't want any other challengers. So it's not just about cenk it's about democracy if you can't even challenge the current incumbent that seems like it goes against everything that you were talking about democracy being on the line. At that point he's not just thinking about himself being on the ballot he's also thinking about other people who want to run as well. So yes the DNC would shoulder that responsibility. Regarding if it is Biden's fault I doubt it but the DNC is the one in charge. I guess because he picked the head of it that would kind of mean that he's somewhat to blame but an honesty I don't think he even was thinking about that. I think he just wanted to pick somebody who he thought would do a good job. So it might not have anything to do with Biden but you never know. That's why I disagree partly with that one but at the end of the day the DNC is the one in charge and the primaries are being canceled of course it's going to look suspicious

I want to support Cenk and I think he'd be what we need in office if I'm being honest, but there is too much on the line to even be talking like this right now. I am a Canadian who just started studying American politics. Our politics are so different. Our prime ministers do not have to be Canadian born. I cannot fathom anything different than this. Our first four prime ministers were not born in Canada. I am so glad we do not limit ourselves with this inane rule. If you compartmentalize what party you identify with and how you feel about the candidates, there’s some real shady stuff going on and I wish we could find a way to stop this crap. Learn how Election Cycles work, the Democratic Presidential Primary was in 2020, BIDEN Won it and then Won the General Election, Primary Challenges to Incumbent Presidents Is Not A Thing!!! No Primary Challenger will beat the Incumbent Sitting President, History has proven all that does is weaken the Incumbent and leads to them losing the General! Sorry if I got the term wrong, but quibbling over that seems kinda unnecessary unless you're here to tell me they can't be sued over that. Not even sure I got the term wrong because I'm not talking about people not getting the choice they want. This was so that people didn't get a choice at all. I am a Florida Democratic voter and strong Marianne Williamson supporter. I have campaigned for her and donated nearly $500. And for what? It is now completely clear that the Democratic Party is beyond saving, which is why I will be voting for the Green Party candidate in the general election. It has been a long time coming, but this is the final nail in the coffin.

What is unclear about this? U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section I: "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President..." That is the first clause. The 2nd goes on to say one needs to be 35 and living here for 14 years. I don't see why it is relevant whether or not Cenk is on the ballot (though it should be a fair process). He would never be allowed the office barring a constitutional ammendment. We couldn't get that for gender equality when everyone was sure there were only two.
