I just bought the Butterscotch and Bourbon, Ginger Saffron. I can't wait to try them out. And your candles have such a luxurious color to them! You always get the perfect colors for your scents .
I wish I could make colors the way you do! It seems mine never turn out the way I envisioned. I love these kinds of videos. You make candle making look so easy!
Here in Australia, we have a candle fragrance called Lemongrass & Persian Lime from one of our major candle suppliers - it is just soooooooo awesome! Just love it - its a fav with ALL of my friends so I totally understand you liking your Lemongrass one! Thanks Wade for your great videos - love watching them! Cheers from down under!
Bourbon Butterscotch is one of the fragrances that I was having issues with the FO blending with the IGI 4630 wax. But it seems to love Problend 600! It definitely is a favorite for my customers in my wax melts so I can’t wait to get the candle nailed down!
@@BlackTieBarnbought the 1.oz bottles of Suade And Smoke and Fireside. Not really a fan of either of them judging from how they smell in the bottle. Do you have a review video for these 2 scents? I am wondering if they smell better in wax. 🤞
Hello! I once sold Gold Canyon Candles which had a candle named Ginger Lime that was absolutely stronger on the Lime scent. I loved it!! By the way, it's my second video that I've watched of yours and I truly appreciate your advice and info. Thanks!
Another great video by The Master. I am excited to try CS’s new scents and grab a few I haven’t tested yet. Your colors are amazing!! Stupid question: obviously we saw your recipe for making 1 candle. If you were making 4, do you automatically x4 the color, or do you back off a little (or go heavier)?
The colors are so vibrant🤩 Really does bring the summer vibes to those scents! I am curious to smell the Lemon Blueberry Crumble as I am a fan of the lemon blueberry ricota pancakes from ihop🤣🤣
Im just getting into making candles. So far i love it!! I cant seem to find anyone who shares EXACTLY what fragrance oils they use. Ones that actually work well!! Nobody wants to keep wasting money finding out scents suck and dont work.
I really like your Butterscotch Bourbon color. I have the same fragrance from midwest. When I'm doing my color for that one I use 3 drops of yellow and two drops of brown. I initially wanted to go for a butterscotch color and that combo seems to nail it pretty well.
Great video and feedback as usual! Thank you so much Question : if I want to use the same wax in a 3 in diameter vessel would you recommend one premier wick or if I want to double wick it with also premiers should I go with 2 of the 700 size? (To start)
@BlackTieBarn I know this is off topic of this video, but I'm hoping you can help... I'm looking into getting a digiboil, to manage some larger inventory, however I haven't yet found any really useful info about how to operate it for candle making, since it's intended purpose is brewing. Biggest question I have right now is with the Gen 1 vs Gen 2 version. Not a huge fan of the glass lid and plastic base of the Gen 2, but at 110v it's more compatible with U.S. home outlets... I noticed you seem to have the 220v Gen 1 model and wondering how you personally manage voltage transformation to 110v. Also, since its intended purpose is for brewing, what considerations would you recommend when using the digiboil for melting wax (i.e. wax buildup in the spout, cleaning frequency, technical considerations etc.) Since the capacity of the digiboil is better suited for medium to larger scale production, might make a good video tutorial for it as well as the presto pot. Any info would be appreciated. Love your videos! Learned so much from you in the last few weeks of finding your channel. Thank you for all the great tips.
Random question: what do you do with all the candle samplers you make? I feel like I’ve got a ton of random candles around the house that I decided I didn’t like.
Hi Wade, off topic but when you use your wick clips, do you pull the wick taught or do you just clip it? Do you know what I mean? I was wondering if pulling the wick up really tight makes a difference when the candle burns as far as the wick staying centered. Thank you for the video!
Hello there. Citronella is too strong. My daughter got a headache with the smell. When you buy lemon fragrance, which one is the best or strongest one?
Wade - just a small process question - when you're pouring testers like this, are you just using one pouring pot ? Do you do anything other than a quick wipe between blends ? Do you even bother with rubbing alcohol ? I recall your video from the other week visiting the candle maker in Kentucky and you both made it sound like cleaning out the pitcher wasn't that important given the relatively low amount of residual Fragrance Oil. Just wondering if I'm wasting time and energy doing that (as i make a LOT of testers).
Hi Wade, I'm from the Philippines and im interested with the wick stter. I have the Candle Science one but aside from it does not fit 7cm diameter its weird that its not centered. I check the vessel choices in norden and choices does not apply to what we have here. Can you recommend which one ahould i select for a 7cm diameter
Find a friend with a 3D printer. First thing I did when I got into 3D printing was print up some wick setting tools for my custom sized vessels ... really pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
which leather fragrance oil do you use? I bought one from Lone Star leather, but it's almost overbearing. Who would you recommend buying leather fragrance oil from?
Lemongrass and verbena Citronella is a light scent. Nowhere as strong as Citronella. Helps with bugs 60%-70%. Pear Citronella havent tested but ugh i dont like.
