The best part about candypink is that there’s nothing creepy other than how she asked you to cut your finger off. No jump scares, no silence, no scary sounds. It continues on as normal.
@@_music.mon3 everyone defines creepy their own way i enjoyed it has well a subtle touch of horror and a innocence i love game's that have that effect.
Man, I don't know if it was that funky test I failed, or those weird marshmallows I ate, or the withering moon above me, or the weird forest beasts behind me, or the fact that I'm currently being brewed alive, but man, something feels off today.
Spooky Avocado do you know at all if she’s single? And open to dating goth chicks? Cuz I’d be happy to accept her heart that is suspiciously growing something on it-
Could have just slashed the skin open and dropped blood into the mixture. Kids these days are so wasteful, wasting a whole finger on one tray of marshmallows.
yeah, it's a waste of resources, a waste of money, it's bad for the bussiness. Gelatin is already made of bones, why is the finger needed? put more gelatin xD Animal blood and artificial colorants exist, why is the blood needed?
@@DuskSunDawn And you only have so many fingers, so how are you gonna get any color once you run out? Smh, so wasteful. Fingers are *definitely* not a good source of food coloring.
Why do you think she needed a whole finger, more the blood the pinker and ψ ⛥̴͇̮͖̟͚͖͖͙̘̣͓͒̅͆̍̄̇͋̅ ̴̡̝̪̰̳̖̣̤̘̼͍͖̠̯͕͙̰̦̞͕̬̜̎̈̈̄☠̵̻͔͕͖̲̣͉̞̲̯̟̬̫̯̮̻̞̇͛̂͑ ̸͚̜͍͙̪̭͚̬̃̿̆̉̊̽̽̿̈́̚̚̕͜͝͝⛧̸͔̬̯̞̟͛̓̌͊ ̷̡̼͈̖̈́̔̅̂̏̀͑̾̚̚̕͝ņ̷̧̢̦̦̩̱͉̳͚̫̱̭̻̩̝̟̭͕͂̄͝ͅͅd̶̢̖̺̣͉͂̽́̆͒̎̂̔͒ͅ ̷̘̟̭̺͓̝̠͖͍̎͐̈̂̇͛͘͘͜͝͝ç̴͚̻̙̯̺͚̻̥̦̭̣̘̬͈̞̥̗̼̿͜͜͝ű̸̱͛̽̇͗̇͐̓̇͑̍̈̈́̐̈́̃̆̆̃̽̕ţ̷̘̮̥͔̬̘͉̫̪̖̬͉͉͌̈́̍̾̂͑̆̀̈̿̋̕͝e̴̛̗͕̭͚̺̞͚͚̮̺̠̦̘̤̪̯̲͇̼̟̰̙͋̾́̈́͛̈́͌̈́̽͊͑̀̕r̷̢̛̠̳̆̊͐̋̄͒̀́̽͑̏ ̵̨̫̩̱̘̮̫̝͖̗͕̜͈̺͇̻̝̦͙̼̣͎̓̀̏͊̀́̇̉̈̍͆̚⛧̶̢̤̙̻̙̪̲̯̖̫͖͙͙̂͆͑̃̓́̕͘͘ ̴̛̦̖͖̞̘̲̺͚̣̟͍̣̭̟̳̠̗̭͐̀̿͜͜ͅ⛧̷̢̞̣͔̮̤͓̘̻̘̙͓͔̜̝͚̠͛͂͆̒̿̈̇̊̏͛̀͆͋̂͘̕͘͜͝ ̵̛̭͍̬̭̳̣̜͇̯͖̮͓̥̪̙̞̦͉̘̪͖̹̀̏̈̊̌͌̀̒͐̆͂̏͆͒̈͂͑̕͘̕͠ψ̵̣̅̔͒̉ ⛧it gets. Gotta hand it to the lady from Candypink, most employers in these kinda games wait until after your first week on the job to start choppin’. Can’t hate someone who’s efficient! :)
“I am brewing you alive but you can leave anytime you want to” feels like a tumblr thread “winks at you but with my third eye” yep that’s tumblr all right
Here, I made a playlist of all the ones titled that way I could find. I made it collaborative, so feel free to add any if you find them! I didn't include series longer than 4 "episodes" long because they had their own playlists (Wadanohara, Wolf & Rabbit, Fantasy Maiden) Manly's Cute Horror Games: ru-vid.com/group/PLMi9PBA2E_vXelU5PMWAe0Q7pXed1zQxb&jct=4nwOUvfKhuj9puyeB-fweH_bn3KwNQ
@@MokohiChan I've been binging this playlist thank you so much for making it (also I totally didn't see that minecraft build tutorial you accidently put in their)
I can see a few of these being adapted into longer games, the Salt Order being the most obvious. I think the sweet game has good potential and a neat style and the spell casting game looked fun. Add a few more mechanics and a cryptic story and I would play a full version.
_I know why you stabbed her_ There was no salt in that marshmallow recipe. And following those steps, they never would have turned out right. The addition of the finger tho... well, for a certain demographic, it would work. But no salt? Never. I like how the 2nd game was also about cannibalism. That much be a growing demographic... The third game might be interesting, but if it's timed, then they have to choose not only a different color but a different font - otherwise, it's not fun. The fourth one was ultra cool, but part of it reminded me of Jiffy Pop popcorn... I think I got hungry watching the first 2 games. The last was about salt which kinda goes with the popcorn. It went full circle - we got the salt we needed in the marshmallow game. Very nice selection!
This is unrelated to the games, but I just wanted to say, I really love the subtle avatar edits you always do as the seasons change and certain events or holidays come up. I think It's neat and I always look out for it in the comments. :)
To be fair the addition of the finger will add salt to the recipe. But honestly what a terrible recipe. If it relies on random people's fingers, you would have so much variation in the end product. What food company is that fast and loose with their main recipe?
ownnn! Am I the only one who really liked that "I'm brewing you alive but you can leave at any time if you really want to" game? It was so cute! And the vampire was so nice too!
Of this collection, The Salt Order strikes me as the one with the most potential to be fleshed out. I feel like its ending is even teasing there being more to its story, how your trial has only just begun.
7:42 Her: You're lucky I found you passed out in that swamp. You would have died and gone completely to waste! Him: Or maybe been a rock star, hey now! Me: **chokes on air** xDD
I really appreciate that this game jam has a lot of different ideas and way more subtle themes of horror packed into 2 minutes Theres sure been a lot of these recently, i'm glad creators are really coming together for even these short projects
Instead of being turned into a potion or cutting my finger off for sweets, how about we do something normal like *summon our lord and saviour florida man* and other fun activities.
Weird that he didn't type: "a NORMAL cooking game that has nothing but NORMAL stuff and everything is gonna be NORMAL", that is the usual style but this is fine too.
@@sapphosdescendants3997 I feel that almost everyone figured out what "normal" and "cute" actually mean in his titles. To tell you the truth the first game was cute and normal, until a certain point.
1st game: "Um... you look a little... unwell?" What do you expect woman? You asked me to cut my finger and I'm either dying or suffering blood loss from it! 2nd game: That's a long title. And being brewed alive. :v
aww a cute thumbnail with a sweet little na-wait a MINUTE! THIS IS A MANLYBADASS PLAYTHOUGH oh dear god..the marshmallows are from dead babies aren't they?
I really liked the look and sound design of The Salt Order And Brewing You Alive was very cute. I hope you can keep talking to the vampire-witch after you get out
Every evening a shrine maiden hikes up a mountainous and long trail. She wears an intricate and ornate kimono with cool colors. The mountain is full of life that lives alongside its running river, and at different points one can get a view of the city lights from high-up. Flies clump together and stockpile something just past the trees out of view, and the smell and sound of fresh, running water is muffled by lingering buzzing. The shrine maiden is no stranger to nature, and so she simply moved along; holding in a series of much needed coughs. It’s about dusk when she makes it to the shrine: There she purifies the shrine and ask for guidance from her ancestors. Cherry blossoms disperse and coalesce in the wind’s fluctuations, and the shrine maiden takes some time to herself; enjoying the rushing water in the background. No one knows what transpires here on an isolated mountainside like this, nor will anyone know.
Game 1: *that escalated quickly huh* Game 2: not really horror, but it's pretty calming. We should glhang out more, Vampire Witch Game 3: *T E S T O F D E A T H* Game 4: spell time babey Game 5: mMmMm salt.
I really liked the spellcasting one. It had the PS1 aesthetic with super 80s sci-fi vibes, and the concept is really neat. I like the idea of a point and click action game that's camera based.
Lol I kept saying to myself: She’s gonna tell him to chop off a piece of himself and throw in the mix and lo and behold, 2:10 it happened. Edit: 2:26 Hovering the knife icon over her to “Refuse”. I would have clicked it in instant 😆
This is actually one of my favorite things ever. The concept of the 2-minute game jam allows for so many awesome little story concepts to be shared without the difficulty of making longer games. And I love the retro style of all the games here. The Withering Moon one is my favorite, with its aesthetics and intrigue. I also like the scary tree beast designs in The Salt Order.
