John Smith yes many of them do in fact have a double coat but not all of them. Depending upon where they came from Italy and what lines you have depends upon what kind of coat they will have. Typically the American bred dogs do not have a double coat.

@@MsBrehay It is a protective instinct for majority of dogs. Especially those bred to protect. Regardless, this is just a video meant to teach the body language of a dog who realizes there is setting strange on their territory.
