Bend the barb down on your hooks... makes it a lot easier to get the hook out of the fish, your hat, your sleeve, your pants, your ear, your finger, or your kids. LOL. LOL. LOL.

Well got a 13’ black widow carbon fiber telescopic rod about 4 months ago on clearance at Walmart, for $ 4.98 I bought it on a whim just cuz i thought it was cool , well after checking out videos like yours I almost forgot how I got started in my fish’n addiction, it’s time for me to get back to the roots of we’re it all got started, I don’t have any spill ways but I got a whole freak’n ocean and lots of lakes and ponds , I’m almost excited to see what I can catch on it , but also a little freaked out there’s some big azz dock monsters that hang out and I’m afraid it might break this new pole , I’m 70 and feeling like a young kid wanting to see what’s biting ! Tight lines ! 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟👍🏼

That’s awesome, Dave! Cane pole fishing is a ton of fun. My grandma taught me to use one many years ago. Glad videos like this one gave you some inspiration. Get on them dock monsters! If it breaks, you’re only out 5 bucks! Have fun buddy and thanks for watching.

I’ll tell ya, Arlie! I wanted a true cane pole, like I was taught with. No dice. But I’m on the hunt! I’ll find one! This one was nice. Telescoping, foam grip and all. Under 20 bucks at Wally World!
