The Metal Pit's very own Staicha puts her death metal expertise to good use with a killer review of the the legendary Cannibal Corpse and their brand new album, Chaos Horrific.
Wow, that was amazing. I do have to say that was a very good review of cannibal corpses newest album but you’re so right they have ever put out a bad album. They have been solid and consistent from the start you know each album obviously will change in sound, but they have been brutally consistent with each album. That’s why they have such a massive following. You did a good job. I really enjoyed it. Nice work.
The new album sounds like if cannibal corpse married cannibal corpse and had a kid named cannibal corpse. Then the kid grew up and started a cannibal corpse family.
Barry and the silent producer here so glad to have another channel for our metal channel community great job and awesome content you have our sub stay brutal 🤘💀
hey chico.u are right on point about cannibal not ever putting out a bad album, but I'll tell u one thing too: they really don't even have a bad song.just a badass group
But it all sounds the same after the first 4. At least to me. there is something to be said about consistency though and none of it is bad your right. just same ole same old=e and has gotten bland and boring to me.
Question for anyone who feels like answering, how would you rank the Cannibal guitar duos from 5 to 1, choices obviously being Owen & Rusay, Owen & Barrett, Owen & O'Brien, O'Brien & Barrett, and Barrett & Rutan. I'm still not sure myself, but it's just something I've been pondering. On one hand I feel like the band overall has only gotten better and better, BUT they do have SO many CLASSIC riffs. Hard to say.
Wow you might actually like these guys more than me! I've been a fan since I saw Ace Ventura when I was 11. I use them as the measuring stick as well for all other death metal bands. Before there were MP3's I would just buy anything from Metal Blade because that was Cannibal Corpse's label lol
Oh hell yeah, same! I kinda miss the pre MP3 days, it's why I know those albums so well, they were all I had and I held on tight, haha! That's genius about looking at the label though, metal blade usually doesn't steer you wrong!
I remember those pre-MP3 days, because I was already in my 20s then. I still go out and buy the CD like I did then, so I guess I'm still living the pre-MP3 days haha!
Great review señorita, but…. You had it easy this time around because this album is absolutely fantastic. Having said that, a suggestion, can you please make a Cannibal Ranking, pretty please with sugar on top
Hi. Great review. Made me go listen to the album. Been a bit disconnected form Cannibal Corpse for a few years since I thought all the recent album kinda sounded the same. Not that it's bad that a band keeps their sound intact and does their thing but it became a bit predictable. LOVE Chaos Horrific though. Thanks for gently steering me home to port. Subbed.
I put all other death metal to the standard of Cannibal Corpse! I'd also listen to your tell me about anything any day though btw!. Bloody gory love!❤️🔥🤘❤️🔥💯
Bought the first album with George when it came out and was already bored by then. That was the last album I bought or really checked out. Have only occasionally checked in here and there through the years and they are still exactly the same. I dont get how people cant be burnt out by them by now. The bleeding was the best. The first 4 albums actually all sound different. Hard to believe that in the early 90s we loved barnes.
Different strokes for different folks. I think Barnes' vocals are terrible (minus the Bleeding) and Kill for example is a great album. They might miss the mark sometimes but considering the amount of albums they have put out they have my respect.
@@YoLpIsBest That was my point Barnes sucks now and I cant believe what a force he was in the 90s with cannibal. The first 4 were great vocals but the bleeding was his peak for sure. I just think they all sound the same after him with the exception of the first George album
I every so often have to point out to my younger friends who play and listed to mostly "Melodic Death Metal" that Cannibal Corpse" is the best "Death Metal" band ever, both in material produced and live performances. They are different than other great groups in that their music varies and has a feel or groove bordering on "funky" at times. They argue I am partial because I was born in and have lived in Tampa Fl. my whole 60yr life and used to see them locally in small venues often. This is probably true but pick 3 concerts or albums by any other band in a similar genre and compare them to 3 CC concerts or LPs and it will be clear who is the standard bearer of this wonderful style of art called "Death Metal".
They def made gore and disturbing lyrics ok. They basically started that in the metal scene and have stood the test of time. Nothing quite like butchered if you ask me. The rawness and them devoloping what and who they are as a band. The new stuff is technically proficient. Im a fan of their first 4 albums
Meh, as much as I loved this group they have been recently releasing albums that are...ok. This one is NOT a masterpiece. Neither is Violence Unimagined nor Red Before Black. The last album I really liked (that felt like CC) was Skeletal Domain. You can feel change in songwriting after this album.
