Hi wes I always follow your videos im 50 years old have been training for over 20 years and I just don't go to the gym i need to go to the gym it keeps me happy and sane good to see you training with your dad these are moments you wont forget cherish them and good luck in the future keep up the good work
misses nezbit I am what I’ve wanted to be, and I do know , he won’t touch weights for a few yrs. Now he’s doing conditioning and body weight training and it’s on him when he wants to I don’t push anything on him. I enjoy them being their age and wouldn’t do anything to put them in any kind of danger. I appreciate your concern though.
Thank you Wesley for the in depth explanation on why you perform each exercise. It's good to know why I should not ego lift like so many guys tend to get draw into.
Great advice ..oldies but goodies are always fundamentaly sound ..always good to reintroduce the basics with the knowledge we have now we can do them safer and be more effective...great vid sir and props to your pops
So glad I found your channel. I have been doing these exercises and I’m shredding out. People see me lifting these light weights and doing these targeting exercises and wonder wtf is this idiot doing. All the guys at my gym never look any different with zero definition and they work on the same exercises to look strong. It’s taken me a long to time to realize I’d rather be healthy and look shredded rather than have a ton of weight on the bench and look strong. Love your content.
The shoulder anatomy is how one needs to train. The exterior/side is one that contributes to the overall look and strength and it has lowered my shoulder joint pain since focusing on warming them up first. Alternating shoulder presses have by far improved my tension and form . I also do isometric lat raises. .bent forward on a bench about 15 reps then switch side dumbbells really burn well here.
Clicked to watch a shoulder routine and learned a better way to do skullcrushers as a bonus. Your advice has helped get me through some plateaus and for that I'm grateful.
To Wesley I very much like this routine for complete shoulders which I have started this week getting the form nailed down and correct I do believe I will see the results from doing this and all the fine detail as well in time by doing this weekly I do like the old Skool exercises for building a quality physic
Love your videos bro, the most informative vids going on today, especially when it comes to safely targeting & isolating smaller muscle groups, thank you! ;-)
Ya Wes!! Keep pumping those heavy close-grips, your tri's are growing. Also, I sometimes still lift with my dad. He started me at age 12. I'm now 46 and he's 66.
Back in the day, there was a tall bodybuilder whose physique I admired enormously. Steve Davis. There are moments when I'm reminded of him when I watch you.
Very cool to have your Pop there with you, awesome... Consider the many comments on this and that should really highlight how important it is to a guy to have a relationship with your ole man...!
Hey man stumbled upon your transformation video from 14-21 and you really have come along ways, great job. I am trying to get back into it myself and your video with your on point form and good explanations of why your doing something a specific way is very informational. Keep up the great work.
This dude has the best body in my opinion. He is lean and mean. Almost to point of being natural. So much better than guys like Calum. This guy's on point.
Looking really good, and i love the instructions and reasonings. Keep it up! Also, i incorporated most shoulder excercises in this video and they felt awesome.
Great shoulder workout. I'm definitely going to try it. Having your dad workout with you is so awesome. I plan on doing that with my boys too when their old enough. I want to make sure they know about proper form and mind-muscle connection.
your video is so nice that i had to subscribe, will keep checking out your videos, good job and thanks for sparing your efforts and time for us. thanks. stand tall stay strong brother
You are stronger on the top, trust me. That's the whole reason for the chains. As you push higher and get stronger, more chain is lifted off to cope with your strength curve.
Of course steroids or not you must put in the work but without them you just have to work harder, smarter, longer and you have to be even more consistent and like it or not that’s a fact.
For healthy shoulders the traps and delts should work in synergy. The delts move the humerus and the traps move the scapula so the subacromial space stays intact throughout the movement. In rear delts the scapula should move back and forth and therefore the trapz should work hard. If not you will move the tendons in the shoulder into a narrower space back and forth aka grinding the tendons. Rear flyes is one if the most dangerous exercises for causing shoulder impingement problems because people are taught by bro science not to use their trapz.
I'm working out from home. I am limited to a barbell, 300 lbs of weight and 2 20lb dumbells. I am super setting front, side and rear delts with push ups. Each delt raise goes with a different push up. It is a serious amount of volume and where I don't have a bench it helps to place more work on the pecs. Is that a good idea? I use the dumbells first and finish with the barbell. I include reverse grip over head presses on that day. I do squat presses on leg day where I do behind the head and front standing military presses at the top of every squat, raising the weight from just the bar, adding 10 lbs each set, until I can't finish the press and then I just do cleans with front squats until I max. When I first started lifting many years ago I never isolated delts and I seem to be front delt dominate. I have large traps and it really pronounces a flat appearance of the side delt. I do my upright rows with my bent over rows into dead lifts super setting shrugs to make the 300lbs more difficult (bar adding 10lbs all the way up). Is it possible that I just have shotty side delts?
Try using Dumbbell lying inclined row chest forward for bent over rear delts , you can really get a good contraction and can't use no body momentum , good luck wez
Another great golden workout for shoulder and delts bro!..I'll definitely try this on my shoulder bro!..Thank you for this lovely routine bro! ..Best of luck and STAY GOLDEN! ;)
