I always love the contrast of wild and industrial on that section of the river and the view paddling up to the Arch just does not get old!

Totally! I LOVE the industrial paddling experience. So different than anything else.

Ken, come to Pittsburgh! We’ve got bridges, too. It’s a perfect place for an urban paddle and the middle Yough is a little over an hour if you’re looking for a pretty place to get a whitewater fix.

Enjoyed seeing you paddling something a little more urban. I'm upstream from St Louis in Dubuque, Iowa and I'm fortunate to be able to throw my boat on the car and be paddling on the Mississippi in about 10 minutes. I love the diverse paddling experiences available - big and rough water one day and glassy the next, quiet creeks, backwaters, barges, urban bridges, harbors, flooded forests, etc. - but he main channel is definitely something to be respected.

Very cool backyard that you've got! I'm looking forward to heading back that way in the future!

Paddling to the Arch is awesome and Big Muddy is a cool outfitter.

Ken, since you said that you love bridges, I would encourage that you tour Pittsburgh. There you will find 900 bridges new and old.

Are you going to talk about sprint kayaks/kayaking at some point?
@PaddleTV

Hopefully I'll get a chance to do some sprint kayak videos soon. I haven't sat in one in years!! Would be really fun to do so again.

Very cool setting! You should try the Lachine Canal in Montreal for some urban paddling closer to home.

Oh yeah! I've surfed at Lachine many times over the years! Love it there.

Just picked up a Clipper Prospector 14 a few days ago. Fibreglass layup. Had it the water today for the first time. Always enjoy your gear reviews and I look forward to your review of the 14. I hope you have opportunity to run some class II to assess this canoe’s capabilities.
@PaddleTV

Awesome! you're going to love that boat! I felt that I was paddling it in class 3 with the wind and waves we dealt with the day before! :)

It would be awesome to have a camera crew to provide shuttle for your boat. Paddling down river 20 miles is great. It's the 140 miles of shuttling that stinks. And there's always the guy with room for only one boat on the roof.

I would definitely prefer going under a bridge than over one in a big city.

How did you like the Clipper?
@PaddleTV
@PaddleTV Год назад
Great boat! I was using the Prospector model, which I've paddled many times in other brands of canoes. Well made, lightweight canoes like the Clippers are a real treat to paddle!
@lazyrivercanoeinglifestyle9287
I like your video but seeing you paddle a canoe with a kayak blade just upsets me. not sure why , perhaps I have issues ;)
@PaddleTV
@PaddleTV Год назад
Ha! I hear you... it felt weird paddling with the kayak paddle, but after getting worked by the wind the day before on the Missouri River, it seemed like the smart thing to do. I just couldn't keep up with a single bladed paddle in the conditions that we had.

Does anybody think canoeing if kinda boring. Like I’d rather cayak
