April 2013 - Running the Cartecay river with my dog Diesel. Paddled from Lower Cartecay Road to DNR takeout. River was running at 2.36 ft.
Also, every since this trip Diesel has been rocking a life vest.
Filmed with a GoPro Hero3 Black at 1080 24fps.

Nice video! I canoe with my pup too (Pitt Bull). They are excellent swimmers and just the right size for a canoe :) Nice!!! Glad you got him a life jacket.

Had my attention all the way! Am looking for inspiration to get my Gos d'Atura Catala trained and happy to go canoeing and camping. You Americans have got so much going for you, great outdoor opportunities and safe! Here in Africa, my dog is company and protection...but together we do it!

Great video,..I'm ready for spring. How do you like the Appalachian, thinking of getting one. I usually paddle fast water, but want something that is decent on slow rivers too.

Thank you! The Appalachian has been a great canoe. Perfect to paddle on a river like the Cartecay and just as good on the flat waters of the Okefenokee Swamp.

What model old town? 174? Looks like it has 3 seats (?).

Old Town Appalachian. I replaced the yoke with a third seat.
