In photo mode press the camera buttun .

There are many lenses for many types of photography but i think an 18-55 stm lens is the best choice for this model. Because the 50mm is good for portrait but not good for close subjects landscape And a zoom lens upper than 50mm is good for zooming not good for indoor photography

On Canon EOS 550D you have a camera 📸 sign button on uper right side. When you are in manual, AV, AUTO or any mode press this 📸 sign button to switch between live screen and viewfinder.
