Here is a canon where the Soprano voice follows the Bass a 12th higher and one measure later, while the Alto voice takes the Dorian cantus firmus from Fux's Gradus ad Parnassum. I composed these canons as examples for a music theory article I am currently working to get published.

I’m really enjoying your canon series. It brings me back to my college years in the 70s and discovering the intricacies of counterpoint. I haven’t written a strict canon since then but I’m now inspired to re-explore - but with my Moog synths! Thanks for the inspiration :-)

Very nice canon, it's sad that it's not a complete piece, though I think it'd serve as a great introduction to a larger one :)
