How do you power the servo zoom on this lens? I can not for the life of me find the right cable. I presume I would need 8 pin connector to power. The only cables I can find are 12-pin to power, so I've tried that with an 8 pin to 12 pin adapter, but that does not work either. Does anyone know how to power the servo zoom on this camera?

actualy this lens was made for a 3ccd camera meaning a camera with 3 individual sensors for each color rgb the sensors are seeing in black and white but the camera process the 3 signals and convert them into color (look up how to convert black and white image to color) the servo motors are powerd with 12v throo the lens connector alowing you to use the zoom buttns i am looking to buy such a lens for experimenting will make a video once i get it at a good price)

@@DJPERSPECTIVE actualy got one alredy . zoom range 8-108 mm aproxx . * grate for closeups . ( semi macro ) ,, * not for bright daylight use so much (chromatic issues) n-d polorizer might help. * the smooth zoom is a lot of fun , and the manual shutter , it can get really close , * the rear ring can be used for focusing and macro in any zoom range. give a nice image in a controlled lighting envionment , 720p - about this is my favorit lense since it's the closest to a dynamic cinima manual zoom lens . it dose not shake like plastic lenses zoomed in (i made a costom tripod mount for the lens like a telescope mount) overall it's a grate experimental lens ,, the x2 digital teleconverter of my camera reduces the dinamic range in a big way , so if i need quality i use simple lenses that dose not need x2 teleconverter , but its very fun to use it ,

Alex, yes, this is for a professional ENG camera (Electronic News Gather), this lens probably dates to very late 1980's(?) and through the 1990's, it may have been used on several model of cameras or other brands., on my Panasonic ENG camera it has Fujinon mounted to it. It appears your lens offers all that's needed for the operator to use it properly. I think for the price you paid is good, Ida paid that amount as well! ~Jack, VEG

Hi, I agree with you. Do you know any adapter it fit?

If your thinking of mounting this to a camera that has a fixed lens, it really wont work as it was designed, you'll get a little dot of a picture in the center of the screen. If you want to mount this to a DSLR camera, its very plausible you could find one on eBay, however it would be an all manual lens and it would become a macro lens due to the fact the back lens is further away from the sensor, however it might offer a great macro lens at that! :) ~Jack, VEG

Hello, I have a question to ask. I have a Fujinon S16x7.3BRM-SD camera lens and I try to fit it on my Canon EOS 750D. I put a B4-EOS adapter and a Viltrox C-AF 2X TELEPLUS to double the focal length. The problem is that the picture is completely fuzzy. Do you have any idea to fix this problem? Thank you in advance.

It's probably a flange distance problem mixed with back focus adjustment. You might need to put some shims in it.

I use the exact same lens on my Panasonic GH4 with a $50.00 adapter from Micro four thirds (GH4) to the Sony B4 mount (Betacam SP). Works really well but you must put that doubler on 2X for it to work without vignetting. Also they make a small battery pack and plug for that servo zoom to work. I love that thing as it allows you to zoom very very slow (or fast) But manual zoom is fun too, think karate movie snap-zoom shot. Very fun quality lens for GH4. I bet the makers back in the day never even dreamed it would see 4K someday.

Hello, can you please tell me exactly which adapter you own? I bought the GH4 two weeks ago and im very new to adapting old lenses. Thank you very much!

@@alphazett14389724397 Hey there, here is the link to the adapter I got. It's important that you have the lens that has the doubler switch that goes to 2X, otherwise it will vignette. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/994985-REG/fotodiox_b4_mft_p_adapter_for_2_3_b4.html

@@alphazett14389724397 I got a little cord that connects from 12v power source to 12 pin "Hirose" connector. Here's one that comes with a D-tap for Anton Bauer batteries for example. You could cut off the D-Tap and just connect to a small 12v drill battery. www.ebay.com/itm/12-Pin-Hirose-ENG-B4-2-3-Lens-D-Tap-Power-Cable-for-Fujinon-Canon-Nikon-30cm/121808183444?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20160908110712%26meid%3D3487b9c53d114c92800d1cf059244d2b%26pid%3D100677%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D30%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D263746995295%26itm%3D121808183444%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2386202%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5PairwiseWeb&_trksid=p2386202.c100677.m4598
