I'm glad even nowadays in 2024 that this is still able to work much appreciated definitely buying another Canon printer with the amount of support you guys have
Everything works up until it’s supposed to allow you to connect the printer. Literally only the last step doesn’t work. I’ve been dealing with this piece of junk for literal hours spread over the course of weeks. None of the “fixes” I can find anywhere online work whatsoever. I give up.
I get all the way up to where I select my printer, and once I click it, it just says “Acquiring printer information” and loads forever and doesn’t get past there.

Mine is stuck where the video is at 3:48 “Acquiring printer information” I’ve tried to redo these steps and rechecked the settings for both parts of wifi and app settings and... nothing. It just loads forever.

I agree with Nick, great vid, but my screen looks different. To be clear, all involved is my iPhone and my canon, right? No router, right, even though I use this for web connection in this building? Requested numbers are a chase and a hassle, can not find. About ready to take this thing back to wally rurld !

thank my printer start workin after watching this video for people that are having a hard time i didn't have the cd to download to the software i just went on my printer connected to wifi then downloaded the app on my iphone and it work
Hi! Your iPhone can communicate with your PIXMA MX490-series printer with or without a router. If you don't have a Wi-Fi network available, your phone can communicate directly with the printer when you put the printer in Access Point mode. We recommend checking your printer's manual for more information on how to enable this mode, and once you have it activated, your phone should have no trouble seeing your printer via the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app. We hope this helps!

Is this a real additional print driver file C:\windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\CNMFUCK.DLL? I am having a hard time believing it is actual found this on my Windows printer test page.
I'm suddenly having issues scanning from my iPhone. I've been doing it with no issues for months (almost daily) since I've been working from home in March, but now it says its scanning, and its not. I cannot find any troubleshooting links online for this specific issue. Help!
Okay the issue for me was that I had to connect to the printer in WiFi. Go to your settings in WiFi and look for your printer. Idk if that helps yall. If not, sorry.

Mine doesn’t show the scrolling options ...when I press the stop button it doesn’t show red ...and when I Scroll it doesn’t show other setup...mine literally does nothing in this video 🤷🏾♀️
