Support code 6000 means that something is blocking the working mechanics of the printer. In this video I repair Canon Pixma TS6150 with both the waste ink pad lever and the lower part of the mechanism damaged. I demonstrate how to repair the mechanics of the waste ink pad in home conditions with available simple tools. very usefull thanks. i got a TS6150. In my case, this little piece is broken. Do you known if it's possible to find a new one ?

You may try and buy a broken printer online (e.g. on eBay) for 5 - 15 USD/EUR sometimes. Usually what is broken are: printheads, or a fried main board, but the rest is working well. Do not forget to ask what exactly is broken. If you get another broken printer just substitute either a print head or the main board from your printer and you are good to go, otherwise it will take very long to replace the whole cleaning train. To do that you have to disassemble almost the whole printer. If you are not guru in this, this will take more than a day.

The broken part is show at 8:43 on the video. Do you think this part is easily removable ans replace ?

@@vivienbrule8544 Yes, this part is moderately easy to remove and install, but you need to buy another printer to take it out from.

Hi My Canon TR8520 has two broken piece round the head clean assemble. Your video is helpful. But to get inside, I have to remove the scanner and control panel. How can you power the head clean mechanic to test the operation of the without those connected? At 8:20 you can manual move the gear to get the clip go up. But my gear cannot turn by hand. What and where you turn to allow the repair. My spring holder was broken into two parts. The vertical track to allow the cleaning pad move up down also broken. Any suggestion how to repair that? If you have even the vertical tracks broken, you will probably have to remove the cleaning train completely and replace it. Since it will be very cumbersome, it is easier to buy another broken printer with malfunctioning print head online and just replace a print head with yours. Gluing something on will only work, if the piece is not big and is not loaded with a lot of pressure. You can remove the scanner and the printer should normally still work without it, you may also detach the scanner and the control panel, remove some side panels but then attach the cables again, while letting the scanner and the control panel just resting on the table but still connected. To let the cleaning train move you should switch on the printer, wait until print head moves and then unplug it. If the print head is parked it is usually locked with a small lever behind it. This also locks the whole mechanism. After the print head is unlocked and the printer is unplugged you should be able to move the mechanics manually by turning one of the gears on the left side. Look for broken pieces inside the printer, sometimes it is very difficult to take them out, because they are stuck between other unmovable parts. If you find all the broken pieces may be you are able to glue them back and repair the printer, but the spring lever should be substituted anyways.
